the talks in the girls room on the sunny… lemme tell you she does not leave poor Robin alone

Robin just chuckles at her attempts but Franky gets suuuper flustered
she tried to convince Zoro and Sanji multiple times to settle their conflicts by making out (didn’t work :c )

heyyy!! I was wondering if you could do DIU gang with a Sukeban/delinquent girl reader?? (if you dont write fem readers you can totally keep it gender neutral). You can choose if it's romantic or platonic (or both?), just wanna see your interpretation! Bonus points if reader is all tough and intimidating on the outside, but once you get to know them they're a total sweetheart :Ddd
Hello dear anon! Thank you so much for this ask, I had so much fun writing it. So sorry it took me this long, in the past 3 weeks I've been drowning in exams, so sorry if this sucks a little!
In the end I went with a fem reader and I lowkey made it Josuke x reader sorryyy
I hope you'll still like it!

You sighed as you closed your laptop. Once again, a series where the female lead is oversexualised and absolutely useless. No woman in her right mind would fight in heels. No woman in her right mind would fight in a tight leather top with a half undone zipper. A disappointed sigh left your lips as you got up and stretched your back. You were actually interested in the plot of this series! But it is what it is. It always ended this way.
But it wasn’t just pop culture that ruined femininity for you. Everything around you limited your freedom, and it drove you crazy. “Don’t wear too much make-up to school!”, “Why is your shoulder out?” Oh but the obnoxious short skirt, that made disgusting men stare at you on the bus, was fine? Obligatory even?
So as any sane person would do, you did the exact opposite of what everyone envisioned for you. Long black skirt that covered everything (and is surprisingly good at hiding stuff), shirt showing some of your stomach, bold alternative make-up and piercings. You even considered bleaching your eyebrows. But the especially cool thing about your rebellion was how many people followed your lead. First your friends, then some outcasts, and soon you found yourself as the leader of a girl gang
You never meant for this to happen, but looking back it was unavoidable. Sure there were other groups in your school but they were filled with self-obsessed, aggressive, sexist gangster-wannabes who wouldn’t let girls join, because they thought themselves superior. So rebellious girls needed a way to manage their frustrations with the system, and they were more than happy to follow your lead.
However, unlike the mentioned gangs your objective and way of rebellion wasn’t petty crimes and open violence. No, you operated quietly behind the scenes. One or two members in the newspaper club, publishing shaming articles about unfair teachers or incels, members of the student body pushing decisions in your favor, small thiefings from unethical greedy corporations, anonymous tips appearing in the teachers’ office about bullies, and your favorite: graffiti. Throw-ups, pieces and stickers started to wildly appear in your city spreading the same agenda.
Building out a social network with hundreds of like-minded individuals to fight for a better system. That was how you operated. Your agenda: equality for all. Anti-sexism, anti-homophobia, anti-transphobia, anti-racism, eat the rich, save the planet, and whatever else the girls insisted on adding.
The system improved day-by-day and new members joined every week, each with a better idea. The girls trusted each other like family and the founding principle, respect, was always kept. But there was just one thing that bothered you.
An exclusively female gang isn’t that different from an exclusively male gang. The constant bringing up of how guys and men have wronged the members only manifested more hate in the girls’ hearts and would eventually result in radical feminism. Which would never lead to equality.
So for the past while you were looking for guys you could introduce into your system. And while you did find some, you had ambivalent feelings about them. Some were already in gangs but seemed uncomfortable with the obvious sexism in those organisations, some agreed with one of your principles but not the other, and some just looked like complete idiots and you had no way of figuring out their moral compass. Like two of your classmates: Okuyasu and Josuke. You really didn’t know what to think about those two. They wore rebellious outfits, looked intimidating, but were really unserious. You were pretty sure they only wore this style because they thought it looked cool and there was no actual thought and determination behind it. All bark, no bite. It pissed you off a lot.
Josuke wasn’t stupid, he knew you were the one pulling the strings in the school. He saw the quick hushed conversations with the student body members or the notes you passed to the girls you allegedly didn’t know. He respected the hell out of your influence and, although he wouldn’t confess it even to himself, it kinda turned him on. Not in the wrong way, but that calculating glance…
For you, it was just a normal Tuesday afternoon, or at least it was supposed to be, but your shitty PE teacher dresscoded your best friend. Her parents were incredibly strict, if they ever found out she was in the gang… you didn’t even want to think about it. Thankfully you had some dirt on the teacher but if all else failed you could count on one of your friends to talk her out of it. Seriously, the girl was like a lawyer.
You were deep in thought, trying to come up with different scenarios, when you turned a corner, only to be met with an unreal situation. Josuke, Okuyasu, Koichi and an unknown man were surrounded by muscular, colorful, barely dressed… beings? The ground seemed to refuse your feet movement, your mind emptyer than it had ever been, eyes stuck to the scenario while trying to figure out what was going on. Your body was completely frozen, unable to do anything about the target-missed bag approaching your face with a dangerous speed.
“Duck!” Koichi yelled.
Yeah, no shit Sherlock. But you were slightly out of time at this point. Not to mention your muscles frozen in place. Needless to say, you went to sleep for a few seconds.
…
“It’s okay. She only had a mild concussion but I took care of it.”
“Guys… you saw it too right? She was looking right at them.” Okuyasu muttered with an unfamiliar concern in his voice.
Your eyes snapped open and so did every sense in your body at the same time. Panic flooded your mind as you realised you had no recollection on how or why you were laying on the ground, with the guys surrounding you. You swiftly sat up, only to immediately regret it, because it caused you to full on headbutt Josuke who was kneeling next to you.
“Shit! Sorry!”
“It’s okay, I’m fine. Gimme a sec.” Josuke unsuspectingly manifested his stand to heal your aching forehead, only to be met with your hand grabbing his, nails digging into his skin.
“What the FUCK IS THAT?!”
Thanks to the adrenaline coursing through your veins, you jumped to your feet and found yourself a good 3 metres from the pink being towering over the boy.
“Josuke!” you hissed the words while maintaining eye contact with Crazy Diamond. “Get away from there. It’s behind you.”
“No no, it’s okay! See, he’s gone. There’s no reason to be afraid. Take some deep breaths for me, okay?” he approached you like a frightened animal, slowly pulling you into his arms while murmuring calming nothings until you weren’t actively shaking. Sure, he felt guilty for scaring you but he couldn’t deny, the feeling of your chest rising with deeper breaths against his, and your fingers gripping the back of his shirt in an attempt to ground yourself, felt unbelievably satisfying.
“This might sound like a strange question but have you, by any chance, been shot with an arrow lately?”
“What?”
Those eyes! The way those calculating eyes staring up at him from so close, made his stomach flip and he couldn’t help but slightly tighten his hold around you.
“I don’t think she needed the arrow, Josuke.” the short boy interrupted.
“ Guess you’re right…”
You kept listening to the boy’s conversation but you couldn’t understand anything. They completely ignored your question and confused expression.
“Stop! What the fuck is going on?!” you pushed yourself out of Josuke’s embrace (to his biggest dismay) and stumbled back, gaze showing distrust. They were leaving you out of the conversation, keeping you in the dark. It was pissing you off. “What’s with the arrow? What were the colorful beings? Why are all of you looking at me like I’m some sort of interesting experiment?”
The knowing look, the guys gave each other made you want to scream. They were treating you like some toddler throwing a tantrum. They once again tried to hush you but you were done with this.
“How about you just take a deep breath, and-..”
“How about you just shut up?! I don’t even care anymore what you lunatics are doing, just stay far away from me!” you stormed off without waiting for an answer. To try to stop your hands from trembling you shoved them in your pocket but you couldn’t hide your shallow breaths. You refused to acknowledge it, but your body craved Josuke’s calming embrace.
“Welp. I don’t think that helped your case.” Okuyasu wrapped his arm around his best friend’s shoulder.
“Thank you Okuyasu, you’re great at comforting.” the grumpiness was evident in Josuke’s tone. “I never thought she’d be a stand user.”
“Honestly it doesn’t surprise me that much.” Koichi joined in.”If it’s bravery or determination you need, she’s your person. But it is weird that it’s only awakening now.”
“I guess you’re right. I’ll need to talk to her. If she accidentally manifests her own stand without knowing what it is, she’ll panic.”
True to his promise, in the next few days Josuke tried to talk to you but you still weren’t cooperative. He tried to approach you in person but you avoided him like the plaque. He tried leaving you notes but you ripped them up. He was starting to run out of ideas. Until a glimmer of hope appeared in the shape of your best friend.
Josuke looked up from his desk as a girl from the other class approached him.
“Hi! I’m Hazel. What’s the deal between you and…” she gestured with her eyes toward you. “She always looks so nervous around you and I saw that you’ve been trying to talk to her but with no success. Are you guys like ex-lovers or something?”
“No, nothing like that.” he sighed ”It’s a long story. I accidentally got her involved in some trouble and now I’m trying to make up for it but she refuses to talk to me. But why ask me? Aren’t you her friend?”
“I tried to ask her but she completely shut down. You must have done something seriously unacceptable.” she shook her head.
“No, I… I mean I don’t think I did. But I really need to talk to her! Could you help me out?”
“I guess if it helps her get closure…”
“We’re still not ex-lovers.”
“Fine, I’ll help you. I have a pretty good idea…” the grin on the girl's face did not fill Josuke with too much hope.
The next day as you unsuspectingly opened your locker, a letter fell out. You were ready to rip it up, expecting it to be an other pestering note from Josuke but the handwriting didn’t match.
“Boss,
I’m so sorry, I got myself into trouble with an other gang. They said that if they can talk to you they’ll forgive me. I’m sorry I know this isn’t how we should operate, I promise I’ll tell you everything later but could you do me a favour and talk to them after classes behind the school?
Love, Ana”
You stared at the note in your hands. Ana had been absent the last few days and she barely responded to any messages. You really hoped whoever had a problem with her didn’t hurt her.
The whole class could hear the quick tapping of your shoes as you anxiously stared at the clock. Two more minutes left. You had already analysed every possible scenario. The teacher couldn’t even finish his sentence the minute you heard the bell you were on your feet rushing behind the school only to be met with a familiar but unwelcomed face.
“No, please don’t leave! I need to talk to you. I promise it won’t take long and I’ll leave you alone after.” Josuke begged as you turned your heel to leave. But your quick steps were stopped by an other unexpected person.
“Please, just hear him out! He’s been following you around as a desperate puppy for a week now. Just give him 15 minutes or something.” your best friend wrapped her arms around you, encouraging you to turn back to the boy.
“Hazel?! You were in on this too?! Oh the betrayal! But wait, does this mean that Ana isn’t in danger?”
“Oh no, she’s got the flu, she’s sleeping at home. Pleasee! I’ll buy you ice cream after!” you sighed as you looked at her pleading expression. Of course you couldn’t say no to that.
“Fine. But I’ll get two scoops and whipped cream.”
The grin on her face was adorable as she hugged you. She sure loved making your life more interesting for her own entertainment. But you could never get mad at her. A soft smile creeped itself onto your lips as you watched her wink at Josuke and skip away.
With a sigh you plopped down to the bench next to the boy.
“What did you talk about so desperately that you even involved her?”
“Well first of all I wanted to apologise for last week. We didn’t mean to get you mixed up in that fight. I’m sorry you got hurt.”
He didn’t dare to look at you, his eyes were focused on something in the distance. He looked kinda cute like this. What?! Where did that come from?!
“But what I really wanted to talk to you about, are the colorful beings you said you could see. Was this the first time you could see something like that?”
“I’m not crazy, okay?! I was probably just stressed or sleep deprived. I’m not seeing things.” you immediately jumped to defend yourself.
“I’m not saying you’re crazy. But you are special. Those things are called stands. They’re the manifestation of one’s soul and determination.”
“Okay, I might not be deranged but you sure are.” you didn’t know whether to laugh or run away. These 15 minutes were going to be way longer than you initially thought.
Josuke could hear the disdain in your remark. He knew there was only one way to convince you to listen to him, so with a deep breath he manifested his stand. Your eyes widened as you once again found yourself eye to eye with the being. The urge to fight or flight resurfaced, but the sensation of the user’s warm hand on yours brought you back to reality. You instinctively grabbed it to anchor yourself.
“This is my stand, Crazy Diamond. He has the power to fix broken objects or injured people.” he explained. “He’s the reason I could heal your concussion.”
The stand returned your curious gaze. You seemed to be completely fascinated by it.
“What is he made up of exactly? Energy? Is he solid or gas-like? May I touch him?”
Josuke couldn’t stop the chuckle escaping his lips. He explained that he had no idea about the physical build-up of his stand but gave you permission to touch him. Looking back, you had no idea why you chose to test the stand’s consistency by running your hands down his chest but at the moment you had more pressing matters to think about. Right about until you heard Josuke’s sharp intake of air and saw a cute fluster appear on his cheeks.
“Sorry I forgot to tell you I can feel everything happening to my stand.” he admitted.
“Shit I’m so sorry!!”
After a minute of flustered back-and-forth apologies and five more minutes of being bombarded with questions, the stand user finally convinced himself to talk about the matter he was the most concerned about.
“Y’know, there’s one more thing about stand users I forgot to mention. Stands can only be seen by other stand users. The fact that you can see Diamond means…”
He didn’t need to finish his sentence, from the glint of his eyes you already knew. But you still had a hard time believing it. You? Having a soul-warrior with some mysterious ability? You couldn’t lie, it sounded a bit unrealistic and even creepy.
In the end you spent a full hour just talking with the boy talking about stands and your concerns about your own. He patiently listened and answered your questions and made you promise that if you noticed something unfamiliar you’d talk to him about it. He was surprisingly good company. You felt pretty guilty for ignoring him the past week. As he walked you home you blurted out an apology.
“I’m sorry about the past week…” you stared at your shoes while walking. “You just wanted to help me and I acted like a total asshole.”
“Don’t beat yourself up about it!” he smiled. “In the end I did get to talk to you. As for my efforts, you can repay me with a coffee.” he followed up with a wink.
Laughing, you elbowed his shoulder. “Trying to act smooth huh?” But the smile on your face and slight blush on your cheeks betrayed your true feelings.
After a few weeks your stand finally showed herself. Well not her stand form but her ability. You were walking through the hallway as you heard your friend wishing you were there to help with a homework she couldn’t understand. Immediately after school you met up with Josuke and with his help you figured out what was going on. Thanks to your stand ability (which you later named Hooligang), you could open up a telepathic channel towards anyone, or even between two people. It matched your ability, to bring people together, amusingly well.
In the end you really took out Josuke to get a coffee and… well the two of you just kept hanging out. You befriended his Okuyasu and Koichi as well and you got on really well with them. So much so that after a few months you asked them if they’d join your organisation.

Boss <3
My beloved girls! I’ve been thinking a lot and I think an exclusively girl gang could lead to similar results as an exclusively male gang
Therefore (if it’s okay with you) I’d like to consider including our schoolmates Josuke, Okuyasu and Koichi
Any thoughts?
Ana mana
I think everyone will agree with me when I say that we completely trust you
If you think this is for the best then sure!
JoJosuke replying to “I’ve been thinking…”

You're welcome everyone!! C:<
Safe to say after this you had to have a nice and long conversation with the girls. But to your surprise, they were all incredibly supportive towards both your new… situation and your plan to widen the organisation. Some even responded with their own member suggestions which you took into careful consideration.
In a few months this had turned out to be the correct decision. Not only did you acquire a dozen new members but you’d also reached a never-expected level of influence. Plus introducing members to the other gender’s experiences, improved empathy drastically.
As for your relationship with Josuke, it was starting to bloom. Slowly (very slowly) but surely. In truth you were hesitant about getting into a relationship, as you already had enough on your plate but… he made it too easy to fall for him. Your little coffee dates (which became a weekly habit) allowed you to feel more free than you had ever been for the past few years. And your goal had always been freedom, hadn’t it?
note: tysm for the support but i hated this so much i highkey rewrote some parts of it. i hope you guys still like it!
i just finished stone ocean and i gotta say i love how the last scene we saw was emporio getting dragged away by the dolphin. i love how you can make up your own ending. "actually there was a-" NO THERE WASN'T! I LOVE HOW THE LAST SCENE WE SAW WAS EMPORIO GETTING DRAGGED AWAY BY THE DOLPHIN! AND ACTUALLY EVERYONE SURVIVED TOO! IK CUS ARAKI TOLD ME HIMSELF!!!
ignore how these pics look like they've been taken with a potato. my phone might not be new but it's loyal!!
unfortunately lately i've been required to take notes in class (ewwww). and i lowky run out of ideas (the fact that i don't have a drop of artistic talent doesn't help).
note: I'm currently watching The Mentalist and there was a scene where a guy was hypnotised to follow his instincts and he kissed his crush. And I lowkey wanted to write a self-indulgent fic about it so here we are <3
“Nahhh! Hypnosis doesn’t exist.” Senku detested with an almost bored tone, his little finger scratching his ear.
“No, I promise you Senku-chan, I’ve done it multiple times” the mentalist beamed. “And even if you don’t believe me, I’m sure there were actual studies done about this topic. I’m surprised you haven’t heard about them.
“I was never really interested in psychology to be honest. Is this even considered psychology? Or is this… magic?” the boy gestured magical hand movements with the mere purpose of annoying Gen. You had to hide your smile behind your hands.
After a long harsh winter, it was a relief to see spring finally arrive. Days were longer now and the temperature finally rose. And with it, so did people’s spirits. So when a surprisingly warm evening came and someone came up with the amazing idea of celebrating with a bonfire, not many protested.
It wasn’t a big party. Some food, booze, friends, a fire, playful banter. Just like in the old times. Because when someone is too occupied with rebuilding civilization, sometimes the fact that they are still just a teen can easily slip one’s mind. So it was nice to be reminded.
“I don’t know about you guys but I’d love to see some proof of it.” interrupted the ever so practical Kohaku. “You said you’re a pro, didn’t you Gen? Well I volunteer. Hypnotise me!”
“Are you sure about this? I mean it’s been a hot minute since I last practised… 3700 years to be exact…” the boy laughed awkwardly. “I wouldn’t want to mess it up or something… plus you’re the strongest one among us. What if you run away and I can’t un-hypnotise you?”
Kohaku couldn’t argue with that.
“It’s okay, Gen. We won’t force you to prove it to us. It’s your choice when and where you choose to hypnotise someone.” you stated gently.
“Thank you!”
“But of course it’ll absolutely make you seem like a liar. Gosh, I wish there was an easy solution!” you quickly added with such puppy dog eyes, that it immediately ruined the mentalist’s mood.
“That’s what I’m saying! The guy’s a total phony.” the scientist laughed.
“You guys are so mean to me sometimes!” the guy whined, earning a chuckle from the others. “Fine! I’ll do it! I’ll hypnotise someone. But not Kohaku-chan! For all of our safety.”
The girl tried to act offended but she was also laughing as she gently there a small branch at Gen. To which he replied with an appropriate amount of dramaticism.
“See?! She’s already attacked me! Imagine if she was hypnotised to have no boundaries!”
“Oh shut up! But the question remains. Who should get hypnotised, if not me?”
“I’m just throwing this idea on the table, but what about the guy who’s the most sceptical?” your sly grin was met with Senku’s frown.
“That’s not a bad idea actually! The least complicated way to hypnotise someone is to just get them in a trance where their instincts and deepest desires come to the surface. And Senku-chan is always so collected and civilised. I’m kinda curious what he would be with no boundaries…”
Oh no! Now it was the two of you against him!
“Hold up! Let’s not jump to conclusions! I never agreed to this!”
“What? Are you scared? Gen is a nice guy, he won’t hurt you.” Kohaku cooed with a shit-eating grin.
“Senku! Could you really sleep at night if you haven’t found out whether Gen’s lying? I thought you were a man of science, thirsty for all knowledge!” you teased him dramatically.
In the end you had all turned against him. What a bitter betrayal! I guess he had no choice left.
“Fine!” he rolled his eyes. “But if I do anything embarrassing you’re not allowed to tell anyone!”
“Oh he’s playing the boss card!” Gen laughed. That stupid grin of his didn’t comfort Senku at all.
He stayed sitting on the tree trunk next to the fire as Gen stood in front of him and took his hand. He leaned in, whispering calming nothings while keeping his fingers on the artery in his wrist. Kohaku and you stood up and walked closer to get a better look at the process.
Gen kept mumbling stuff like “Relax! Breathe! What do you want to do the most? Imagine yourself doing it!” while gently pressing a spot on Senku’s arm before stepping back with his signature grin.
“Do it Senku-chan!”
He opened his eyes, scanning around. He looked a bit scary like this, in your opinion. His signature grin and other micro-expressions that made him him, were nowhere to be seen, only a neutral face, wide eyes and a dilated pupil.
“Well Senku? How are you feeling?” Kohaku asked cautiously.
His head snapped in her direction, eyes examining her face. Then his gaze slowly moved over to you as you carefully took a few steps back. With a few swift steps he towered in front of you catching you off guard. Eyes widened, you stumbled, losing your balance. But the fall never came.
Instead you could feel his steady arms around your waist, pulling you flush against him. Thanks to the blood rushing to your cheeks your skin warmed up under his touch, lips already opening but he didn’t give you time to protest, before his lips crashed into yours.
Huh?
All the air escaped your lungs and your stupid stomach started fluttering but what could you do? THE Ishigami Senku was kissing you!
Thankfully your body caught up faster than your mind and you slowly melted into his touch. Your hand found its way to the back of his head where you started playing with his hair and only at this point did you realise how well his lips fit against yours.
Although it felt longer, the kiss itself lasted for only a few seconds before you finally separated. You knew your face was burning and you were incredibly overwhelmed by this whole situation but Senku would not let you go. His arm stayed steadily around your waist.
“That’s enough buddy.” Gen’s firm grasp on his shoulder finally motivated him to let you go.
He slouched back on the trunk, his gaze still stuck to you. The mentalist pressed the same spot on his arm while whispering something in his ear and just in a second he returned to his old self. He looked around confused.
“So? Did it work? What did I-...Why is Y/N red?”
Silence.
“Don’t.”
Kohaku was already opening her mouth but your glare and finger pointing at her shut her up.
note: Omg I haven't written anything for so long! But recently I was in a maritime museum and all that I could think about was how much Ryuusui would bounce around the room in excitement if he saw it. As always, I'm greateful for any helpful critique!
Your boyfriend was one of the richest people on the planet. But his birthday was coming up and you were at a loss. What do you get for a man who has everything? Or if he doesn’t have something, he’ll do anything in his power to get it? Is there anything you could surprise him with?
You were walking down a street in your town, looking for any gift idea when you suddenly stopped dead in your tracks. Maybe your boyfriend’s unimaginable privilege had some drawbacks too. Yeah he might have lived in a castle but he was held almost like a prisoner there. He would have never been able to see what you just saw; something more valuable than pure gold.
Finally the big day came. Although Ryusui was supposed to spend this day with his family, with the help of Francois, you stole him for the afternoon (and a Nanami Corp. car).
The wind was blowing through the rolled down windows, Ryusui’s favorite song was blasting on the radio as you both loudly sang along. As much as the boy dreaded his birthday (because of his family), he felt like he was in heaven. His gaze returned to you, a grin plastered on your lips, cheeks red from the excitement and it hit him. Nobody really cared for him like this. Nobody went out of their way to make this day special for him. Except you.
His silence didn’t go unnoticed by you.
“You okay? We can change the song if you want to!” you asked, brows furrowing slightly yet eyes still stuck to the road. Ryusui felt guilty for ruining your mood too.
“It’s nothing. I was just wondering where we’re going” his well-practised smirk hid his real thoughts.
“It wouldn’t be too much of a surprise if I told you, would it? But don’t worry, we’ll be there soon.” you laughed.
He had to agree with that. He looked around curiously, as he had never visited this place before. It wasn’t the busy city or the luxurious countryside he was used to. The houses, the streets, the bus stops, everything was built for practicality. For the middle class person to get to work, then home. It was unfamiliar to him.
“Okay, we’re hereee!” your voice was unusually high with excitement and a pinch of nervousness. “Close your eyes!”
He obeyed. You parked the car and with some awkwardness you helped him out and led him a few metres.
“Okay you can open them! Well? What do you think?”
Ryusui opened his eyes, his gaze meeting with the sign “[town’s name] Maritime Museum (even 500 year old artifacts)”. His eyes stuck to the view, his mouth slightly opening but staying quiet and expressionless.
“Oh shit! You don’t like it do you? It’s okay, we can go somewhere el-...” you were abruptly silenced by your boyfriend pushing in the door and going inside. The walls of the lobby were decorated with old sailing equipment, posters and pictures of the exhibition.
Ryusui could feel his heartbeat quicken as he was drawn to one of the posters on the wall. It was a detailed drawing of a 16th century caravel complemented by explanations of its parts. He was wrong back in the car. THIS was heaven.
“Babe! Are you good? What happened?”
You finally caught up to him, worry evident in your tone. Although you expected him to be angry, disappointed or even confused, the minute you reached him he grabbed your waist and pulled you into his arms. Stunned, you opened your lips to say something but nothing came out.
The boy buried his face in the crook of your neck, trying to hide the small tears of gratitude dwelling in his eyes.
“Thank you! It’s perfect.” he muttered, voice strained by how moved he was.
A small relieved chuckle left your lips as your arms snaked around him, one resting on his back, an other on the back of his head. He held you tighter, breathing in your scent, wondering how he got so lucky.
But soon his feelings of appreciation were oppressed by ones of excitement. Boats and ships were his passion after all. Being surrounded by loads of models, artifacts, and knowledge was nothing to shrug at (is that a saying? I feel like that’s a saying). He pulled back slightly to flash his signature charming smile.
“Ha-ha! You have no idea how grateful I am, but I gotta go check it out!”
He pulled you in once more, his lips crashing into yours, before he stepped away and ran into the exhibition room. The receptionist was just about to yell after him, but you quickly bought the tickets for the both of you, with such a lovesick, dazed smile that it made him sick.
Inside Ryusui seemed to turn into a whole new person. His gaze was travelling from one model to an other, his ear-to-ear grin unerasable, constantly muttering and taking pictures.
“Look! Have you seen this? This is an 18th century galley. You can tell by the long, slender hull, shallow draft, and the low freeboard. Most types of galleys also had sails that could be used in favourable winds, but they relied primarily on oars to move independently of winds and currents or in battle…” he started rambling as he pulled you in, hand on your waist.
He was so cute like this. Excitement painting his cheeks red, sometimes stumbling over sentences because of how much faster his mind was moving, tucking his golden lock behind his ear to see better. He was basically vibrating with eagerness.
“Okay nerd.” you laughed. He tried to seem hurt but he was also smiling.
“Oh I’m sorry for trying to educate you!” he laughed but his voice turned softer. “You had better take a good look at it though, because one day I’m going to build my own and I’ll take you on a voyage. And don’t you dare say I can already do that. Modern yachts have nothing on this baby.” his face filled with adoration.
“Should I get jealous?” you laughed.
The museum was interesting but long. Really long. After a while you lost the energy to read and assess everything you saw, so you just walked around the exhibitions, sometimes taking photos of what you saw, or reading the description if something caught your eye.
Not Ryusui though. You praised yourself for deciding to come early in the afternoon, because this man was hypnotized for hours. Sometimes you caught him just silently staring at one of the displayed items or taking notes (with the paper and pen he got from the receptionist).
But no matter how enchanted he was, he was still Nanami Ryusui so he tried to buy everything. After that didn’t work he tried to buy the whole museum. But the receptionist just laughed at him.
“When I was around your age I was just as obsessed with the sea as you, young man. I actually worked as a marine biologist for almost 20 years. This museum was a passion project for me and my wife, god rest her. She was an archaeologist specialising in piracy…” the fond memories and the thought of his beloved wife smoothed out the wrinkles on his face, enveloping it in peace.
“That’s why I could never sell it to you, young man. Everyone looks for the meaning of life and for me this was it. And I want every child to find their meaning like I did, so if I could I would make this exhibition free…” he sighed.
The two men found each other to be kindred spirits. Soon the two of them were roaming the halls between the displayed items, taking turns sharing their knowledge, Ryusui taking notes more than ever.
Unfortunately soon the evening came and the museum had to close. After a teary-eyed goodbye from the owner you got into the car but neither of you really wanted the night to end yet.
Luckily on the way back, you were supposed to pass through a cliff overlooking the ocean, but with a silent mutual understanding you came to the conclusion that just 20 more minutes together wouldn’t hurt.
After parking the car on the side of the road you climbed on to the roof of it. The warm summer night was starting to turn cool. Thankfully you found a blanket in the trunk, under which you snuggled together.
The Sun was lowering into the horizon with a beautiful mix of colors, which were all reflected by the sea. The view was truly breathtaking. You leaned into Ryusui's side, resting your head on his shoulder while he answered by wrapping his arm around your waist and pulling you closer.
“Thank you for today. I had a lot of fun. Truly” he whispered into your hair before pressing a small kiss.
“I’m so happy you enjoyed it! I love seeing you like this…”
“Like what?” he furrowed his brows.
“Passionate. Excited. Engaged. You look so… pure.” you confessed.
Pure? Pure was not a word people often used to describe him. Spoiled? Sure. Greedy? Always. But never pure. His gaze was now stuck to your face. Did you really see him like that?
Both of you stared at the stunning view in comfortable silence just enjoying each other’s company. The smell of the salty air, the quiet sound of the waves, the other’s body heat. Everything was just so peaceful. Except Ryusui’s mind.
“I’ve been thinking…” he started. You looked up at him, curiosity and a hint of worry glinting in your eyes.
“I don’t think anyone cared about my birthday like this before. Or just me in general. I don’t know what I did to deserve this.”
You looked up to try to read his face but you didn't have much luck. He didn’t sound insecure or anything (haha Ryusui insecure, good joke) , just genuinely curious.
“ And I realised that I care a lot about you too. No, that’s not true… I don’t just care about you. I’m in love with you.”
You were taken aback by his confession. This was a bit too out of the blue. Your eyes widened and your mouth dried up as you stared into his deep brown eyes. The light of the setting sun caused his golden hair to glow.
He took your silence as a bad omen. Maybe it wasn’t such a good idea to pour his heart out. But he was greedy. He wanted to hear it from you, he wanted you to know you are fully his and he is fully yours.
Meanwhile you were having a different kind of problem… Your stomach was doing acrobatics, your face was heating up and you wanted to scream but also kick your feet and giggle. So yeah it was kind of hard to get the words out.
You buried your face in his shoulder muttering “I… I care a lot about you too…and seeing you as happy as you were today, made me feel the happiest I’ve ever been…”
With a finger under your chin he gently lifted your flustered face. You were met with half-lidded eyes and a soft smile before he gently kissed you. It was different from your kisses before. It wasn’t a quick peck nor a hot make-out. It was feather light yet it carried a lot of meaning
You spent the remaining time until sunset in a content quietness. Ryusui pulled you into his lap so you leaned back into his chest while he rested his head on your shoulder, sometimes pressing a soft kiss on your neck. Both of you cursed the time for passing, wishing you could stay like this forever. You knew the sun would soon set, you knew Ryuusui would soon get a call from Francois begging him to drag his ass home, you knew your parents would soon get worried too… but, maybe until that you could enjoy this small piece of heaven together.
I'm so fucking dumb I only found out Ryuusui's birthday is in November after I had already finished writing this. Welp too bad it's staying like this now. Oh and I used Wikipedia as a source for Ryusui's knowledge on ships.
Summary: Senku gets home from a stressful day and realises how much he forgets to show his love for you.
Warnings: just fluff, showering together, cuddling, comfort, a little self-blaming on Senku's part
Your boyfriend was as far from clingy as one could be. He always threw himself into work, barely showing you any affection on busy days. Holding hands or the occasional hug or kiss already felt like a big deal with him. But you loved, even that in him. However he had one weakness. When he got overwhelmed and tired, he would always turn into a big, clingy cat.
You were sitting on the couch when Senku got home. He was clearly frustrated, he closed the door a bit louder than usual, and just threw his bag and coat on the ground, instead of neatly putting everything in its place like he usually did.
"You okay love? What happened?" you asked, worry evident in your tone.
He approached the couch and basically collapsed on top of you (he was careful not to hurt you tho). As he nuzzled his head in your chest, he murmured something incomprehensible.
"Thought day at work?" you guessed as you started playing with his leek colored hair.
You were now laying on your back, with him on top of you, his arms wrapped tightly around your waist, his face resting on your chest.
He nodded. He was so adorable like this. Burying his face in you, calming his nerves by inhaling your scent, relaxing his muscles. He even let out a soft sigh as you started gently massaging his scalp.
“Wanna watch a movie and relax?”
“No.” he muttered. “My head is already too loud. Could we just stay like this?”
Your chuckle resonated through your chest and sounded completely different with the scientist lying on you. He decided he liked it a lot.
Your hands moved lower, gently massaging his tense neck and back muscles too. His breathing slowed and soon a familiar, comfortable darkness started to close in.
“Hold up! Don't fall asleep on me!”
He lifted his head, his eyes puffy, his voice groggy.
“Huh? Why?”
“Because tomorrow we’ll both suffer a backache if we sleep here. Also you haven’t showered yet.”
“So? I don’t smell.”
You gave him a look.
“Fine! But only if you shower with me!” he tightened his hold on you.
“But I’ve already showered!” you protested but against his tired, puffy, puppy eyes you couldn’t hold your own.
Soon, the two of you stood under the hot water pouring down, relaxing Senku into an even more sleepy state. He was hugging you from behind, resting his head on your shoulder, pressing gentle kisses on your neck.
The feel of your skin, the sound of water mixing with your gentle humming, the warm water and steam filling the shower overwhelmed his senses and silenced his mind. He never wanted this moment to end.
“I love you” he murmured in your ear earning a chuckle.
“Who are you, and what have you done with my boyfriend?”
Although you meant it as a joke, a small ache manifested in Senku’s chest. He pulled you closer, burying his face in the crook of your neck.
“I know I’m not the best boyfriend. I know I often get absorbed in work and forget to show you affection. You deserve so much more than that.”
“Noo! I’m sorry I didn’t mean it like that.”
You turned to face him, tightly wrapping your arms around him.
“I love you just the way you are!”
“But you still deserve more though.” he sighed. ”I promise I'll be a better partner in the future.”
Later at night the two of you were lying in bed, wrapped up in a thick blanket, arms around each other, legs tangled, chests rising and dropping in sync. Senku had long dozed off but you were still thinking about what he said.
You tightened your hold around him. What others, or even himself, thought of him didn’t matter. You loved him to the moon and back. And you knew he did too.
Was he really that cold towards you? Has he been neglecting you? The sight of the boy sleeping soundly in your arms filled you with the warm tingle of love and contentment. Yes, maybe your boyfriend got too absorbed in his work sometimes. But that passion is what made you fall for him. Maybe he didn’t always show love through physical touch, but he never forgot to remind you how loved and cherished you were, through other ways.
I’m not sure if you take requests? But I’d really like to see your take on the DIU gang with a reader who isn’t too big on physical touch but will on rare occasions cuddle up with them? (Purely platonic, of course. Friendship cuddles are the best). If you don’t do requests please just ignore this, I didn’t mean to bother you
No, you didn't bother me at all! Actually, this is the first request I have ever gotten so I'm super excited and a bit nervous. I love your idea and I'm honored to write it! I hope you'll like it!
A touch of comfort
Diu gang x gn!Reader
Although you're not the biggest fan of physical touch, you'd do anything to make your friends feel better.
Warnings: slight angst, mentions of death
Okuyasu wasn’t a very sensitive person. After growing up, being bullied by his own brother for having needs, he learned that asking for help was a sign of weakness. Yet sometimes when his thoughts about his brother’s death resurfaced, he panicked and had no idea what to do with his grief, guilt and even slight resentment. He would completely shut down and just exist as a numb empty shell for a day.
You were the first one to notice it. On one of these days, you convinced him to take a walk with you, and with some gentle reinforcement he poured his heart out. You soon found yourself on a bench overlooking a field. He rambled on and on about his favorite memories with his brother, how he protected him before he died, how he didn’t feel like he grieved him properly. He rubbed his eyes to hide a stray tear when he felt a hand on his back. You had scooted closer and rested your head on his shoulder, while comfortingly patting his back with one hand and holding his, with the other.
“You don’t have to do this. I know you don’t like hugs.”
“Yeah but you do. And you need one right now.”
Josuke had a surprisingly silly quality. He was always responsible and mature, but when he got tired he got very clingy. Like super clingy. Like hug-you-from-behind-and-rest-his-head-on-your-shoulder clingy. Of course you weren’t the only ‘victim’ of this. Okuyasu got a bunch of hugs as well but Koichi (probably because of his cute nature) was the most likely to get caught in an affection hungry cuddle, from his best friend.
After an especially long day at school you were packing your bag and chatting with Yukako, when suddenly you were enveloped by two arms from the side. Josuke’s cheek was smushed against your shoulder as he pulled you close. He hadn’t slept well the night before and you had an awful amount of classes that day so all he wanted was just to cuddle up with someone and sleep. Certainly he couldn’t do that in the middle of the class room so he settled for the next best thing.
You chuckled and turned towards him so he could hug you fully and you could wrap your arms around him too, petting soothing circles on his back. You stood like this for some time as he buried his tired eyes in your shoulder.
“I wanna go home and sleeep…” he whined.
“You and me both.” you sighed.
Koichi always tried his best. He tried to be as kind to others as possible, to be responsible, to be mature and to take his studies seriously. And he succeeded most of the time. But sometimes he struggled to keep his grades up, especially history. He didn’t know why but he had a really hard time remembering dates and names.
So when the teacher announced the test next week, he made up a study plan. He spent hours in the library, wrote study cards and even watched youtube videos about the topic. But no matter the effort, he still walked out of the classroom disappointed. All that work and for what? He didn’t do bad, but he felt that for the amount of hours put into it, he should have reached a better score.
You knew that feeling well. The hours spent studying, only to remember nothing on the day of the test. So when you saw the bummed out boy, you knew you needed to cheer him up.
The two of you walked home together, eating ice creams you bought, as he rambled on about his poor score and you listened with understanding. Even just talking about it helped your short friend a lot and he was grateful.
After reaching his house you started saying your goodbyes when he pulled you into a thight hug.
“Thank you for the ice cream and… for caring. You’re a good listener.”
You chuckled as you wrapped your arms around him too and ruffled his hair.
“Isn’t that what friends are for? Oh and next time I’ll show you some study tips I think could help you, okay?” you grinned and he smiled back.
Yukako’s jealous and obsessive behaviour freaked you out at the beginning, you couldn’t lie. The thought of sweet little Koichi dating someone like that didn’t sit right with you. That was until you got to know her better. One time just the two of you sat down to talk things out. She admitted she was jealous of your close friendship with Koichi and you admitted you were worried about him dating her. She told you she understood. She had been struggling with her anger-management problems for a while and asked for you to help her overcome it. To pull her back into reality. To remind her of boundaries.
Ever since then your respect for her grew more and more. You could see her desire to be better, the progress she made, and her courage to ask for help. And day by day you could see what made your friend fall for her.
You were lazing around in your bed on a Saturday morning when you got a call from her. You could hear in her voice she had been crying, as she explained that Koichi and her had a fight. After quickly getting dressed, you ran to her house. She was sitting on the floor of her room, sniffling quietly, looking at a photo of her and her boyfriend. You hugged her tightly and helped her calm her nerves, as you often did.
The girl laid on the floor, her head in your lap as she explained the situation: she got mad when Koichi bumped into an old female classmate and they arranged to meet up and catch up. She didn’t like it and acted really rude, for which Koichi later scolded her and they got into a fight. She could always count on you to help her see other people’s perspectives and that day wasn’t an exception either. You showed her the problem while gently playing with her hair and cleaning away some stray tears.
“Do you think he’ll forgive me?”
“Of course he will. But remember, he’s not the only one you need to apologise to.”
Rohan loved his work as a mangaka, but he couldn’t lie, it was often stressful. The sudden deadlines, the impatient fans, the rude editors. He prided himself to be an excellent and (bizarrely) quick writer, but sometimes, not even he could keep up with the demand. Fans often forgot he had a life outside his job and that sometimes a late chapter was unavoidable and necessary for his wellbeing. Yet in these situations he often chose to blame himself. He would pull all nighters and force himself to work through writer’s blocks or wrist cramps. Expectedly this resulted in work stress taking a toll on his health.
He was recovering from an especially nasty flu when the sudden deadlines hit again. He had planned to work even while sick but his mind was just simply too foggy to come up with anything good. But now he was feeling better and could concentrate on his work again, so he spent the day locked in his room, hunched over his desk. That day, you had come to check on him and help around the house while he was still weak. You knew how important his job was to him but you couldn’t just leave him to struggle in his room while his coughs could be heard from downstairs.
Somehow you were able to convince him to leave his room and lie on the couch. He was freezing from the after-effects of his flu and exhaustion so you laid a thick blanket over him and snuggled up to heat him while you put on a movie to watch. His fatigue hit him too suddenly as he pulled you closer. He was more than grateful for your care and something inside him knew he needed to get pulled away from work
“My editor will kill me for this.” he let out a weak chuckle.
“Give me your phone for the night. That way he won’t bother your sleep, and if there’s something he doesn’t like, I’ll be more than happy to deal with him.”
Jotaro had always been calm and composed, making sure to never bother anyone with his feelings. He had learned to bottle them up and deal with them in private. For the sake of others he thought.Plus after facing Dio, he believed nothing could affect him.
However, this belief changed when poor Joseph slipped and fell down a flight of stairs. He seemed to be fine but his left arm hurt a lot and Jotaro knew how fragile old bodies could be, so just to be safe, he convinced his grandfather to go to the hospital.
He was sitting in the hospital waiting room, impatiently checking his watch. The old man had been in there for at least 20 minutes, they must have finished x-raying him now. He didn’t even notice his leg beginning to shake. All of this reminded him of Egypt where he had lost 3 dear friends. He wouldn’t lose his grandpa now would he? His mind was overrun by worst-case scenarios and his breathing turned more shallow.
Suddenly a pair of warm hands brought him back to reality. You squatted before him, so your eyes were level. Oh yeah, you came with them to the hospital. He had kind of forgotten. You held his hand resting them on his knees, staring into his eyes and taking deep breaths, forcing his body to mirror yours.
“I’m fine.” he grunted.
“I know.” you smiled but you didn’t let go of his hand.
Note: this is just some stuff I whipped up but I'm actually writing a whole fic about it on ao3 if anyone's interested.👉👈
As always, I'm greateful for any helpful critique!
An Archive of Our Own, a project of the Organization for Transformative Works
In short, Reader is staying in Morioh with their uncle Rohan, and gets a job at Tonio's.
Rohan always had a good relationship with his niece/nephew. You admired him, both his brave style and his success as a writer. He thought of you as more like a little sister and was pretty caring and protective. He sent you his new chapters every week a day before the release date and you sent him fanarts you drew of his characters which he sometimes convinced his publishers to put in the new issue.
Josuke and you matched each other’s freak so well, sometimes you only had to look at each other to absolutely die laughing. He also admired your intellect. You often brought up topics he never really thought about before. Talking with you forced his mind to see things differently and think things through. You soon became close friends and, since he was mostly surrounded with emotionally constipated people, it felt nice to have someone to open up to and discuss deep feelings with. Him showing you around town, telling you about his favorite secret spots soon became both of your favorite pastimes.
Okuyasu respected the hell out of you. In his eyes not only were you hella smart, but also super responsible for working over the summer. You explained and taught him new things he never understood before and in return, he taught you some cool self-defence moves in case you get into a fight. He was naturally drawn to you, after seeing how gentle and caring you could be. He grew up in a home with not much comfort so when you first encouraged him to talk about his bad day he felt strange. But after a while whenever he felt upset, the first person he would seek was you.
Koichi was glad to welcome someone in the friendgroup who wasn't as chaotic as the other two boys. He felt like he could finally have more serious conversations with someone. That obviously doesn't mean you two hadn't died laughing one or two times. But in the growing chaos you were a safe space for him. Plus you were the only one he could actually talk to about Yukako. Most people told him to be happy to have such a gorgeous girlfriend or just straight up took sides, but with you, he could truly understand both perspectives.
Yukako couldn't stand your ass at the beginning. Why were you so close with Koichi? Were you trying to steal him from her? She glared lightnings at you and once even tripped you with her hair, until you sat her down and cleared things up. You promised you had nothing to do with Koichi, not like that, and you gave her some actually useful advice. Most of the people in her life couldn't handle her jealous personality as well as you did therefore, she quickly grew close with you.
I couldn't add Jotaro's part because it would spoil the plot😔
Note: Just something i put together 'cause i was bored. English is not my first language so sorry if this sucks! But I'm increadibly greatful for any helpful critique!
You were one of the randoms who got woken up after the war between Ishigami-village and Tsukasa's empire. You learned about the war mostly through stories and gossip but you felt like you stood on Tsukasa's side. You agreed that a new world order where the billionaire class doesn't exist could benefit the human race.
Not that it mattered. You were just one of the many who were woken up for physical labour. You had no extraordinary abilities like the leaders, you weren't strong, witty, or a genius with unnatural memory.
However the Kingdom of Science kept progressing in a way you didn't approve of. First, they woke up one of the greediest men on earth, then money and oil got thrown into the mix. And after a while your determination, to not allow the New World to end up like the old one, grew stronger than your insecurities.
On a warm night, when most people had already returned to their tents, you saw Senkuu sitting under a tree crafting something. You took a deep breath and approached him.
"Hi! May I have a word with you?"
He looked up with confusion but curiosity in his eyes. You took that as a yes. After a quick introduction you sat down and started talking about your concerns. Listening to you, his hands stopped mindlessly crafting and red eyes were completely focused on you.
"...I mean, this is a completely new start. A blank page, if you will. Is it truly safe to progress further without any kind of law or restriction?"
He smirked.
"I don't really care."
What? Was he being for real? He chuckled.
"Honestly, I'm just really interested in science. I want to bring back as many people as I can, because the more people we have, the more knowledge and good ideas we possess and the quicker we can bring back civilization. But you seem to be passionate about this, so I'll leave this to you. Talk to Minami, the journalist or Ryuusui and find a good lawyer. Revive them and work together to make laws."
You smiled at him gratefully. His eyes stayed in contact with yours for just a second too long before you stood up.
"Thanks! I'll talk to them tomorrow. Good night Senkuu!"
"Yeah, you too..."
He murmured lost in thought but you had already left. For some reason he couldn't forget the passionate expression on your face as you talked about worker's rights. It mirrored his, whenever science was involved. He respected that.
Meanwhile, you were walking to your tent with the delicious feeling of success. Senkuu was surprisingly supportive. Everyone talked about him as the great hero of the stone wars (which he was), so it was easy to forget that he's still just a teenage boy.
In the next few weeks you worked together with Minami, Ryuusui(as much as you didn't want to at first) and a newly revived lawyer. For Senkuu it looked like you were everywhere. You talked to the builders, the people who worked on the fields, and basically everyone who was doing any kind of labour. You bombarded the lawyer with ideas, and you explained (multiple times) to Ryuusui why he couldn't print his own money.
The little economy the village had, started to thrive. Draco became an accepted currency and luxuries (like cotton candy, ramen and suits) became purchasable goods. However you would not budge when it came to necessities. Food, water, housing and heat remained free.
Workers started coming to you with their problems and you worked your ass off to solve them. You kinda became stone world HR.
However, after the first conversation, you didn't seem to be interested in Senkuu's company. And he found himself becoming more and more annoyed with this fact. HE was the one who first supported your ideas. HE was the one who gave you the revival fluid. So why were you excitedly blabbering about something to Ryuusui? Why did you roll your eyes at his flirting attempts? Why were you two flirting? He thought you hated each other. But of course he was not jealous or anything like that...
In reality you were dying to talk to Senkuu. You felt an indescribable pride when he praised your ideas and supported you. But he made it clear that he was only interested in science so you didn't want to bother him.
One night you just couldn't fall asleep no matter how you tried. You tried to quiet your mind but after not succeeding for hours you gave up and climbed out of your tent to go for a walk. The cold quiet of the night calmed you. The full moon shone on you with a mesmerising light, and it was hard to believe people from your time conquered it. Lost in thought, you wandered around the quiet village until you spotted some light. Inside the lab Senkuu sat on the ground surrounded by papers, his mind filled with plans.
"Hey Senkuu! Is everything alright?"
You asked after gently knocking on the doorjamb. He looked up, surprised. The huge bags under his eyes made your chest ache.
"Yeah, yeah, I'm just finishing up some plans, don't mind me, go to sleep"he hushed.
Even though he was the one who told you to leave, some unexpected disappointment nestled in his stomach when he saw you turn away with a soft smile and leave. He didn't know what he expected but it wasn't this. The exhaustion started taking a toll on him, and he just sat staring at the wall, imagining your soft smile, before remembering his duties.
However, just as he was about to return to work, you showed up again, now holding a sandwich and a big glass of water.
"I noticed you didn't leave the lab at all today. You need to take better care of yourself!"
Senkuu wanted to oppose but as you placed the plate in front of him, he could feel his stomach grumble.
"It's not that bad. I've got absorbed in work for longer before."
"That doesn't make it any better!!!"
He grinned but the big bites he took, betrayed his gratitude. Now with his stomach full, exhaustion crashed over him as he supported his back with the wall. You sat down next to him (maybe even a bit closer than what would be expected but it's okay we don't judge).
"What got you so absorbed?"
Senkuu searched for a few pages he was working on.
"I'm planning to redesign the interior of the ship. We need to make room for more equipment. Plus i'm not sure if we can make enough food that doesn't go bad until we land. Not with these stone world appliances."
You picked up a paper and quietly hummed.
"There's some empty space here"
"Yes but it's right under the deck. If we get hit by a storm, all the equipment or food will be ruined."
You nodded and kept analysing the paper. While lost in thought you lightly bit your lip, a small habit you have. However, it made Senkuu feel strange.
"How about... yes that could work. How about we take less food with us? This room would be free to store the equipment, and above this room, right here, we could switch the wood out for glass and make a green house."
"Let me see!"
Senkuu's brows furrowed while you explained your idea. You scooted a bit closer to point out on the paper what exactly you wanted to change.
"We could grow plants and animals in the greenhouse, which would supply us with fresh food"
"That makes sense! How didn't I think of that?"
"Hmmm... I don't know... Maybe because you haven't slept in the last 48 hours?"
His eyes furrowed but he couldn't hide his amusement.
"I guess that's fair. But back to the ship how about we..."
You kept planning and bantering for hours, but soon, your prediction came true and you were both knocked out by sleep deprivation. Sitting on the ground, with Senkuu’s head on your shoulder, the night surrounding you was quiet and peaceful. Your soft breaths synced as you sat hand-in hand.
The next day, for some reason Yuzuhara allowed nobody in the lab. Some heard her say some dangerous chemical spilled, but others say, she said Senkuu was absorbed in work and didn't want anyone bothering him. All in all, you had an awkward but quiet morning.
Note: This is my first ever fanfic so I have no idea what I'm doing hehe. English is not my first language and once again i've never done anything like this so sorry if it sucks. But my poor Sai deserves more love! I will gladly accept any helpful critique!
„Wanna hang out after school?”
Sai Nanami stared at you, his friend (and secret crush) as you stared back with a huge grin. You two were friends but didn’t really hang out outside of school so your question surprised him. Plus, not only that... it was the 14th of February. He wondered if you knew. You probably didn’t... You couldn’t have asked him out on a date...
„We don’t have to go if you don’t want-...”
„No, I’d love to! Let’s go!” he blurted out without thinking as the thought of you taking it back made him panic.
Plus, even if it wasn’t a date, at least he could spend more time with you, and less with his family. The sight of your relieved smile made his stomach flutter.
„I was thinking of going to the arcade. Is that cool with you?”
Oh boy was it cool with him. He could barely wait for the next few classes to end.
Even during IT, his favourite subject (unsurprisingly), his gaze kept returning to
the clock.
After what felt like forever, he met up with you at the school gates and your little date could finally start. You blabbered on and on about your day while he listened with a lovesick expression. Honestly the two of you were that one disgustingly cute high school couple.
You were just telling him about how yesterday you saw the most adorable cat, when you hand brushed up against his. He immediately tensed up and his mind started running the calculations. Did you want to hold his hand? Was it just an accident? He didn’t want to make you uncomfortable but holy shit he would have given anything to
hold your hand.
Sai looked at you, really looked. The way your eyes shined as you looked at him, the way your voice flowed through the air (he had no idea what you were talking about atp), and the slight flush of your cheeks was simply adorable.
He desired you. Not in the inappropriate way but he wanted you all to himself. He was a Nanami after all.
With a sudden wave of bravery he took a deep breath, grabbed your hand and interlocked your fingers. You died. Rip Reader, you will be missed.
No, but seriously, you had never shut up quicker than in that second. Unfortunately Sai was too flustered to notice that you were just as red as him. Well, whatever, somehow you still got to the arcade without combusting. And your hands stayed together nice and snug.
Sai mentally thanked you for choosing an arcade, because this way he could show off his gaming skills. He even won you a cute plush seal.
After the initial awkwardness, you two stared having a lot of fun. You competed in the
racing game like your lives depended on it, you laughed until your stomachs started hurting and you even convinced Sai to take some pics in a photobooth.
He couldn’t hold himself back and started explaining to you how difficult each game is to program, how they did it and how he recreated them at home when he had a drop of free time. You got lost quickly but still kept listening to him and showing interest in his hobby. The boy didn’t think he could like you more that he already did but when you asked follow-up questions after his explanations and showed interest, he felt like he was going to explode.
Meanwhile you enjoyed his nerdy little ramblings. You found seeing him all passionate, and worked-up about some dragon riding game adorable.
Hours later the two of you were sitting on a bench, looking at the river, munching on a few snack Sai bought (you tried to pay, saying you were the one who asked him out but he didn’t let you).
„This was really fun!”
You were sitting cross legged on the bench with the plush seal in your lap, grinning ear- to-ear.
„We should do it again sometime.” he
answered.
Your eyes met, trying to figure out what the other meant until you got bored of
guessing.
„Today is February 14th.” you blurted out.
Sai stared at you, but your gaze was locked on the water. Your fingers were nervously playing with the plush’s tag and your cheeks were a bit flushed. Following your lead, Sai settled on a direct approach too.
„Is this a date?”
You finally looked at him and smiled.
„Do you want it to be?”
„I really do.” he admitted quietly.
„Good.” you rested your head against his shoulder „ ‘Cause I do too.”
You stayed like that for a while. Just sitting in quiet, enjoying each other’s company, appreciating the beauty of the city lights.
„I feel a bit guilty tho” he admitted. „I should have been the one to ask you out. I was just a coward.”
„Don’t feel bad. It was really scary for me too. Plus, there are many other firsts you can initiate...”
Sai looked at you with an amusement. You needed a few seconds to realise what you
just implied. Your face started burning and you started stuttering with way too many hand gestures. He couldn’t help but start laughing.
„NO! I’m sorry I didn’t mean it like that!!! I-I just mean that like... I was trying to make you feel better... but of course we don’t have to do anything you... Why are you laugh-...”
Your inconsistent little flow of words was abrupted by his lips pressing against yours. His hand gently held your cheek, and his lips were still in a slight smile. You were about as stiff as a board and before you could grasp what was going on Sai already pulled back.
„You’re right. We still have some firsts left”
For a few seconds you were just lost in his beautiful brown irises, when suddenly your face mirrored true panic.
„FUCK! Sai, I left my bag at the arcade!!!”
You jumped up and started running, hoping to reach the establishment before it closed. Sai quickly followed you, laughing.
„You dummy!”
„Sorry for ruining our kiss! I guess we’ll have to re-do it sometime...”
„HEY!!” he yelled as he continued running after you while laughing.
