 Shock and a slight bit of embarrassment came as a result of the sudden kiss and embrace. Angela wasn’t too sure what to make of this scenario, but she at least didn’t let the actions go unanswered. The doctor pushed herself into the kiss and offered something sweet and comforting in the way she brought herself to cling to Fareeha.

 “Wh-What was that..?” She asked as the kiss finally broke. “I didn’t expect you to kiss me of all things. It’s alright, I won’t be going anywhere. I’m right here. C-Can I ask you why though..? What brought that on?”

—≪ ⏳ ≫ “ Angela. . . Can you not guess? Not even after all of this time? I thought you were a doctor. . . Even I know my diagnosis. I’m in love with you. “

      Arms were brought to rest upon her waist, a blush lightly tinting sun kissed skin.

“I saw it collapse too Fareeha.” She answered back in a more stubborn tone than before. “I was in there when it happened. If I wasn’t there that young man would’ve died! Do you know why he works the job he does? His younger sister. His death was preventable, but you’re telling me I should have let that happen?”

 A sigh of frustration left the doctor’s lips. She knew she was being more emotional than rational. Not a single word she’d said so far was something that could be considered completely logical.

 “I…” A brief pause came. “I don’t have enough in my equipment to bring people back Fareeha. I haven’t had enough for a week. Do you understand why I must take the risks I do? I don’t have the luxury of an extra few seconds like I normally do! It’s my job as a doctor to see the sick and dying nursed back to health. I didn’t become one to let lives slip away and be lost.”

—≪ ⏳ ≫ “ I understand. . .I just. Angela. . . “

      She moved in closer, bringing her lips down to the others, unable to take it anymore. She had been harboring her true feelings for the doctor for what? Years now? She didn’t know, she didn’t care. Arms wrapped tightly around the other’s waist as though she was scared to leave go.

 “Yes, I certainly could have.” The medic agreed. “But in return for my possible injury I was able to give medical attention to a young man who needed it.”

 Only when it came to her role as a doctor did Angela ever seem to become obstinate. Now proved to be no different from any other time. After one more thorough check her patient was sent off on his way. Her attention was now properly given to Pharah.

 “You should have known I would do this. There is no way I could’ve stayed away from that construction site, it’s as unsafe as a disaster area when you’re working my field. An accident waiting to happen.”

—≪ ⏳ ≫ “ That doesn’t change things! You keep putting yourself in danger! You’re a doctor, a medic! Not a victim! Stop risking your neck for everything! You could have found another way in then the route you took, I saw the damn building collapse Angela! “

      She had the other by the shoulders, grip tight, but not enough to bruise. When would she understand how often she gave the other woman a heart attack? When would she realize there was more at stack than she realized? Did she have any idea how it would make her feel if she lost her? Especially if it was on one of their missions?

    She chuckled amused, reaching out to lightly spank the other’s rear, before sitting down, opening the paper.

 An open invitation to war with a side of flirting? That was the perfect way to describe everything that had gone on here since Amelie was put in Fareeha’s charge. The first few nights were admittedly rough. After all she still had moments where the other woman would wake up with Widowmaker atop straddled atop her in preparation to kill her. That was happening three nights a week. Now it’d been reduced to once a month. Even if Amelie recovered she’d probably still do it just to mess with her.

 The spank brought a playful smile. She couldn’t return the favor for now, but she would definitely make sure to when Fareeha’s least expected it. It was Tracer, or rather Lena’s, idea that Widowmaker tried to keep to first names and familiarity as she thought it might help.

 “The paper has the same boring news in it as it always does.” She commented in a bored tone. “Death, destruction, more death. The Obituaries.” Sure the phrasing was a morbid sense of dark humor, but the French woman didn’t care. “How long will I be kept under house arrest? I’ve not left your home since I first set foot in it. Are you trying to keep me all to yourself Amour?”

—≪ ⏳ ≫ “ It depends. Do you want me to keep you all to myself? I could easily arrange that. “

     A sigh was brought about by the mention of the paper. Of course it was dark and dreary, why did she bother wondering what news could be in it. She brushed the paper aside, spreading out some paperwork before her. These damn things she had to feel out every month because of Amelie. .. An annoyance. Government always wanting to stick their nose where it didn’t belong.

 “Are you flirting with your patient, doctor?” Amelie mused. 

 She watched Fareeha as she borrowed one of her favorite mugs that had been moved in with her. Outside of four mugs and her coffee pot all Widowmaker had to her name were her tools and clothes.

 “But of course the coffee is sublime, I made it.” She added with a smirk. “Unlike the dirt you call coffee.”

“There is nothing classical about this.” Amelie argued. “Fur Elise. That is something classical.” She added. “Cheri, tell me something.” There was a sharp agitation in her tone. “Why must you play that song every day?”

Widowmaker looked at her empty mug and then to the coffee pot. She then took a look back in the direction of Pharah. Another cup wouldn’t be enough. Not out of this mug.

 The French woman made her way to the cabinets and opened it up. As she looked for a bigger mug she stopped at one of similar size to her own. Hadn’t Fareeha mentioned this being her favorite mug? Oh, the payback on this day would be glorious yet refined. With the other mug now placed in the sink Amelie took the coffee pot and poured herself another cup, but this time she drank from her housemate’s favorite mug. If she was going to be oh so jovial about torturing her worse than Talon did, then she’d get even by dirtying the mug. Every. Single. Morning.

 “Ah, coffee tastes simply divine this morning.” She remarked with a smirk. “Perhaps it’s the mug.”

—≪ ⏳ ≫ “Then perhaps you should try the owner. Might be more divine.”

    She commented as she went over, grabbing another mug -- Specifically one that Amelie had brought into the house -- To drink out of.

    “You are right. The coffee is sublime.”

 “Wow! Everything has changed!” Ankha marveled as she looked about. “I didn’t think Tava could change so much in only span of seven months…”

 She was left in a bit of a pickle. What was she to do now? Everything was so… Different, and weird. People were giving the feline strange looks and she saw no one in town who remotely resembled one of her tribesmen. A worrying thought came to mind. They weren’t banished were they? Nefeti wouldn’t do that right..?

 Ankha continued to pace the streets, looking for any kind of clue, but she was having no luck. Finally she decided to rest in some shade where she let out a heavy sigh.

 “Is this really Tava..?”

—≪ ⏳ ≫ “It’s been a long time since I’ve heard anyone refer to this place as Tava. Might I be able to provide some assistance?”

    It was a casual day for the Egyptian. In fact, she had been on her way to retrieve some groceries for herself, before she noticed the catgirl.

She took a sip from her mug, sitting up on the couch.

“Fareeha, I wanted to talk to you. Off of the battlefield, where you can take to the skies and keep a distance from your mother.”

—≪ ⏳ ≫ “Not this again... If this is about my wishes and the applications I’ve sent in, nothing you say will sway me. We’ve fought over this for years.”

     She just wanted peace today. It had been hell out there. She had dodged enough bullets. Now she had to deal with her mother that was going to lecture her again and again.

 “Must you always play that song so loud in the morning?” She inquired.

 Amelie was still waking up. She sat at the table with the paper and a cup of coffee. Every morning was the same problem, the same mistake. Why did she have to be one so early to rise? Two hours of peaceful silence and then suddenly an obnoxious song comes on to start a certain security woman’s morning. Every day. Who thought it’d be a good idea for her mental and emotional rehab to take place in her home anyhow? Oh right… Winston.

    A grin appeared from over the banister, as the woman finished drying her hair. She had woken up earlier than her alarm. Most sane people would think to turn it off in that case... But not Fareeha. No, she had allowed it to g off when it was supposed to. It had been a welcoming sound on her exiting the shower.
