… And now on with the story!!!
🎃🎃🎃
After hearing the mysterious shadow figure speak, Bakugou Katsuki and the other students who volunteered to take a part in the plain to capture the Grim Reaper, hurry away from the scene to tell an adult that something really, really, really MESSED UP is going on. But their journey back to the main area where the Halloween dance is taking place is interrupted by an appearance by the Grim Reaper himself! He swings his mighty scythe — and the students are shocked to discover that their Quirks aren’t working. As if someone had simply turned them off. With no other feasible way to take on a man with a large weapon, they continue to run for their lives, the stress of the situation heightened by all of the Halloween decor which seems to have more or less taken a new life of their own. Case in point, when one of the students running away from the Grim Reaper trips and falls, only to find the fiend hovering over them with his scythe raised high — a skeleton decoration nearby suddenly moves and steps in the way , kicking the Grim Reaper back — and allows the student to catch up with their friends.
Back on the dance floor, the Halloween festivities get interrupted when all of the windows and doors leading outside in the gymnasium open at once — letting in an abundance of fog — and shadow figures, whose forms twist and contort to that of tall monsters with spindly limbs and mouths filled with fearsome teeth. Of course, everyone starts to scream, unsure if this is just part of the Halloween dance or something more. They quickly learn that this is a “something more” situation when chaperones on the dance floor tell the students to RUN. That’s all they can do, since no one seems able to use their Quirk to defend themselves from this creepy situation.
“WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?!” One Class 1B student shouts, while racing down U.A.’s halls with a few of his classmates. Monoma, whose eyes appear white once more — similar to when he was first possessed — provides a response in a voice that once again is nothing like his own.
“We are under attack. We’ve been transported to the spirit dimension, the afterlife — and the shadows after us are evil spirits determined to keep us here forevermore. But we have help. For not all spirits are bad. There are good spirits who wish to protect you children.”
To which the student responds, “OK, WHATEVER, I’LL BELIEVE YOU THIS TIME MAN, BUT HOW DO WE GET OUT OF HERE SO WE DON’T LIKE??? DIE??? WHAT THE FUC — ”
To which Monoma replies, “We must capture the Grim Reaper. He is at the center of this all.”
And only then does Monoma return to his normal state, once again completely unaware of what he had said just moments ago.
