sgrb infection au (rant and update)
Urrghhhhh I probably should have spoken up about this earlier, like months ago, but yeah
I'm bad at explaining. So bear with me. Or scroll to the end where there's a summary
the sgrb infection au; worse than mites
Considering I pretty much ghosted the story with no explanation aside from "no motivation," I think it's time for a lil explanation
Honestly, if I'm going to be honest, I didn't know where the story was going.
Yes, I had great ideas, but had no idea on how to tie them together and was just kinda winging it, and every time I lost my streak, I would ditch it for a couple of weeks, and promise updates when in reality I had NO IDEA what I was doing or where I was going.
And, this may be a shocker, but I didn't like it.
**LOUD GASPS AND BOO'S**
WAITWAITWAIT STOP THROWING THE TOMATOES LET ME EXPLAIN.
Now, I'll admit, some of my writing in it was kinda good (better than my past writing, that's for sure)
But the characters felt out of character, and the pacing was little too fast, and blah blah major plot holes blah and yea.
Plus I don't think I could have brought myself to continue writing Alex slowly loosing her mind
Its odd because I enjoy everybody else's au's where the characters go through something tragic and have many other au's up my sleeve but couldnt write this au, odd isnt it?
The cherry's on top of all it, is writer's block, lazieness, and SCHOOL.
So, in summary: I ditched the project because I didnt have a lay-out/plan and it all just kinda fell apart.
HOWEVER, It's a cool au idea, and anybody is welcome to steal the idea!
THANK YOU TO THE PEOPLE WHO SHOWED YOUR LOVE TO THE STORY, THOUGH BEING UNPLANNED AND MESSY, IT WAS FUN ANSWERING QUESTIONS AND RANTING ABOUT IT!!!
NOW, SOME TREATS OF STUFF THAT WAS GONNA HAPPEN
The cure: they dont find the cure in a liquid or any shot or cell, infact, after a power outage the mites that had been stored in the freezer(s) defrost, and instead of attacking the staff, realize "oh hey this virus stuff is a lot more scrumptious than human flesh and metal" and go on a feasting spree, solving the problem with some reverse psychology, a virus wipes out a virus.
Infestation: The EDF is put on lockdown as bluish-black veins seep into the walls and floor. Small pieces of sentient metal scurry about. Suddenly, if you don’t watch your step, you might become its lunch or part of it.
And- my favorite- Blargo's mech, that was getting repaired, ends up getting infected and becomes another main host for the virus.
I have other ideas that are lying absent in my brain I may post some later as I come across them, but yeah
And like I said before, the idea(s) are up for grabs! Once again, apologies for dragging this on for so long only to abandon it.
Who knows, maybe I'll return later and redo it when I actually plan and strategize.
