do you have any ibuprofen? I have a headache FINISHEEDDD
Paldea Gang + Kitakami siblings animated icons! ⭐️I’ve really wanted to draw them all for a long time, and I think it’s fun to do.
it's your 3rd, scarlet/violet !!!
She got it from Rose is all I’m saying
This is a pony piece from last year too! BUT did you know it has a back? It's a quote from the show, one of the more profound and existential in my opinion:
"There will always be Darkness in the World But there will also always be those who find the light Together we worked to bring Harmony to the World But there will always be more to do Which is why we teach others about the Magic of Friendship Others who will continue our mission after we are gone And the more who understand how powerful Friendship is The stronger we will all be, Together."
And also I'll have it at Harmony and Babs and EFNW ofc
Haven’t played Crk in over a year or so, but have these wips I’m probably never finishing and other stuff I never posted from way back before a lot of the recent big updates 🗿🪄
Not really caught up to the story and I don’t plan on coming back any time soon, however I’d appreciate no attempts to spoil me on anything... Though I do have a general gist on the goings ons 🤷
A lot of Shmilk & Elder Faerie things beyond this point beware 👍
Have a sweet day, peeps ✍️🗿
Happy Pride Month! Heres my Take on ShadowSalt (Likely to change if given more canon crumbs):
Salt of Solidarity appreciates the Fount of Knowledge, he considers him a trusty friend despite how rarely they are able to interact. Fount wanted to know everything about any information Salt gathered from his conversations with the witches. So they occasionally exchange knowledge together. There is an unspoken tension he has with him. Fount loved to debate, the commander enjoyed his debates immensely but he was also slightly taken back by how critical Fount was toward the Witches and the nature of their world. He placed good trust in Fount, enjoyed listening to his talks and admired his intellectual mind. Why wouldn’t he? Despite how different they are, at the end of the day their goals have always alined
Silent Salt despises the demon that has replaced the friend he once knew. He internally separates Fount from Shadow Milk, they are so different both visually and personality wise he is almost convinced they are two different cookies… almost. While he hates all the corrupted virtues the same, deceit frustrates him the most. Deceit is the most corrupting in nature and all of the Beast are lying to themselves one way or the other. For ages in that tree, he wished he could silence the straining voice that filled the room every time he arrived. The way that parasite would never give up, how desperate he was for escape for his twisted Idea of freedom. Shadow Milk cookie disgusts him, and he wishes nothing more than to eradicate his evil off the face of Earthbread….and join him in doom.
Fount of Knowledge has a dreadful secret: a 'small' crush on the Lord Commander. But to much irony he doesn’t even understand his own feelings towards Salt and dismisses them whenever they arise. But his feelings are complicated, he envies him above everything else. He desperately wishes that he had a fraction of the love and support the Salt of solidarity had. He was jealous, but he was also in awe of his simple nobility. His feelings made no sense to him so he suppressed them to the best of his ability. Their relationship were strictly professional, interacting with each other is simply a role they must play. But every time he interacted with the Knight he couldn’t help but feel butterflies in his cold yearning heart. Butterflies… oh how he wishes he can squash them.
Shadow Milk cookies feelings have never gone away, if anything they have become worse with his mental state. His jealousy has gotten worse, what is he hiding from him? But he wants him even more, he needs to know what that knight is hiding, what lies in his tall, dark and… handsome demeanour. He resents him, more towards the gnat that is in the position he wishes he was in instead. He hates him, how dare he betray him, tricked him. He loved Salt, how could he do that to him!? Why, why, why couldn't he see that coming? He needs him… dead! No. Under his control…yes, Yes! Now he's all his! The commander of Silence is gorgeous! He can stare into his dreadful, hunted eye-cings forever. As long as he never breaks eye contact, as long as he is under his control. These feelings are complicated, but he is now free to do as he pleases with them.
Devil Oppressor
Aside from the 9 canonical characters/colors in the story, do people of other colors exist, or are they really the only of their kind?
Could there be other Reds, Oranges, Yellows , etc...?
Likewise, howabout other colors and shades outside the Rainbow ( Teal, Pink, Grey, Lime, Brown, Dandelion ,etc...)? Do they also exist?
Love your concept btw! Im excited to see where this goes
Great question!
Lots of other Colors populate the world, they are broken up into different hues. (Red Orange Yellow Green Blue Indigo and Violet) Some are a mixture of the two!
There are some class differences and socioeconomic factors, but I’ll save that for another day. :P for now, here are some examples! The rest of the designs + more info is available on my Patreon!
Some silly (non canon) fusions!
Some introductions!
Some more colors! Who’s your fave?👀
Happy Valentine’s Day!
The evolution of Asian leads in American animated films since the 2010s
I've noticed an uptick in Asian leads for American animated films over the past decade. To specify:
Hiro Hamada ("Big Hero 6," 2014) is half-Japanese, half-white, and lives in an alternate universe where California (specifically San Francisco) was heavily influenced by Japanese culture due to immigration.
Yi ("Abominable," 2019) is Chinese and lives in Shanghai.
Fei Fei ("Over the Moon," 2020) is Chinese, and her film draws on Chinese mythology.
Raya ("Raya and the Last Dragon," 2021) is from a fictional land influenced by Southeast Asia (specifically Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines).
Din Song ("Wish Dragon," 2021) is Chinese and lives in Shanghai.
Meilin Lee ("Turning Red," 2022) is a Canadian girl of Chinese descent.
Ember ("Elemental," 2023) isn't human, but since the director of "Elemental" is Korean and based it on his experience as the son of immigrants in NYC and Ember's VA is of Asian descent, I count her.
Kenji Sato ("Ultraman: Rising," 2024) is Japanese.
Rumi ("Kpop Demon Hunters," 2025) is Korean. While her father is a demon, the culture/world he comes from is Korean, so IDK if she counts as mixed from an ethnic perspective.
Stevie Ting and Elliott Ting ("In Your Dreams," 2025) are Americans with an Asian father. IDK what his ethnicity is, but since his VA is of Chinese descent, I'm guessing they're half-Chinese.
Mabel Tanaka ("Hoppers," 2026) is an American girl of Japanese descent.
Aang ("The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender," 2026) is from a world influenced by South Asian, East Asian, Southeast Asian, and Native American cultures, with the specific culture he comes from being inspired by the monks of Tibet. I know he's originally from a 2000s tv show, but it felt wrong not to count him.
Jo and Raissa ("Forgotten Island," 2026) are Filipina.
While "Ultraman: Rising," "Over the Moon," "Abominable," and "Wish Dragon" were co-produced by Asian companies, they were still co-produced by major American animation companies (Netflix Animation and Dreamworks), I still count them. I think someone also mentioned that Billie from Disney's upcoming "Hexed" is Filipina, but that may just be because her VA has some Filipino ancestry. Gotta wait to see if that's true.
Also something I hadn't paid attention to before: someone mentioned on Twitter that out of the SEA rep we get in western animation (both films and TV shows), Filipinos usually get the most attention. What other ethnicities would you like to see from SEA depicted in animation, specifically animated films? Vietnam, Singapore, and Thailand come to mind for me.
Another horror game child I need to hug desperately. If Dime had just been the one holding Low's hand before taking Alone's, we could have a happy ending for damn once!
LN 3 DLC SPOILER
We can agree that theres nothing of flesh and blood behind this resident?
Her entire structure is an evolution of the fortune teller of the LN 3 main game and i love it...also haunts me how the nowhere can mess up with time and the implications of a literal robot being a resident just is bothering me...and a machine that looks so similar to a human out in the counties...
