I think that the Hamilton musical is objectively the funniest thing that could happen to that man's memory. Imagine dying of a gunshot wound infection in 1804 and learning from the afterlife that tweenage girls in 2017 are drawing thousands upon thousands of images of you making out with your fellow congressmen because someone wrote a 2-hour rap opera about you. I like to imagine that Hamilton found a monkey's paw and wished to leave a legacy, and this is what it did to him.
you don't control who lives who dies who tells your story
what doesnt kill you is still valuable data points for a graph im working on titled "how to kill you"
Ive also noticed an uptick in people coming into supernatural FOR destiel and being disappointed when they "dont see it"
Its because this wasn't intended from the start to be a queer show. It isnt going to be like heated rivalry or euphoria or red white royal blue or whatever (i dont watch those so idk) it was a ship that took off that eventually bled into the show through creative choices. It IS mostly subtextual. It also changes based on the season and show runner and each episode's writer, editors, creative team, etc. Some directors were very against it and some played into it. It IS there, but they also had to go up against their cishet audience and their homophobic network to keep it under the radar. That was unfortunately the case in the time/genre/network they were working with. So if you are coming into it with a late 2020s queer tv culture lens, yeah, youre probably going to miss a lot of what we love to go insane about because it was subtextual. Subtextual doesn't mean nontextual it just means there were more things you have to factor in when watching the show.
Normal groceries like milk or bread or whatever running out is whatever. Just anotha day. But when stuff like salt or cooking oil or rice runs out it feels like You’re supposed to be here for me and you’re leaving. You’re just like everyone else
dean smith from 4x17 “it’s a terrible life” and receptionist castiel from the supernatural ghostbusters parody are happily married
husbands
there really is nothing better than getting asked an innocuous question and being like
accused of using too many ellipses... don't care... there's always more to come...
your knight's unending loyalty for you is kinda parasocial and lowkey problematic...
If your friend is struggling, the signs might not be obvious. A cry for help can take many different forms. Try checking in on them if you hear them express any of the following sentiments:
I miss Supernatural
I should rewatch Supernatural
Supernatural was such a good show
I hope they make more Supernatural
