Felt dinosaur playscape. My friend Melissa created this cool world for her child using pieces of felt. I have noticed that when Jack plays with set ups like this, his imagination soars – the added context allows for multiple storylines and adventures. This simple and quiet activity has been a hit at our house. Thanks for the idea, Melissa.

you can use this to teach children about how the environment changes! about how when you build a house, you build farms, and grocery stores, and parks, and how eventually, the animals dont have anywhere to go, and how its important to make sure their land and habitat is secure!! or how environments change on their own, like how one river can split into two! and one of the rivers has lots of orange water plants, and the other has lots of pink ones! and the one fish that used to breed in one river, has changed to have orange spots in the orange river, and pink spots in the pink river! SUCH GREAT IDEAS!!

Dinosaurs and Homemade Gak. We made this gak at our friend Elena’s house and keep it in the fridge to make it last. Our favorite part about using dinosaurs with the gak is that we can make prints and talk about fossils.

Artist Transforms Kids Drawings Into Plush Toys

In 2007, Vancouver-based artist Wendy Tsao saw her 4-year-old son’s drawing and decided to do something truly amazing: make a child’s imaginary characters real. Using her son’s drawing as inspiration, she created a plush toy in the same image and likeness. Since then, she’s been turning children’s drawings all around the world into plushies.

brinquedo da infância

Restauro de brinquedo educativo em madeira com bandeiras de países pelo mundo. Esse brinquedo é da década de 1980, e alguns desses países nem existem mais. Acho que é uma peça bem bonita, e ainda carrega a lembrança de uma época passada.

A madeira estava bastante arranhada, algumas partes quebradas, e o verniz bastante encardido do tempo. Algumas dessas barras de ferro estavam entortadas, e as peças de madeira bastante sujas.

A madeira foi amaciada, lixada e pintada com tinta spray azul marinho. As partes quebradas foram previamente coladas. As barras de ferro desentortadas e as peças em madeira foram limpas com uma flanela macia e água, de maneira a não danificar a pintura das bandeirinhas.

Resultado bastante satisfatório, ficou em ordem e funcionando. Hoje integra a decoração deste quarto aqui.
