WIP (ROR OC - Daji/Tamamo no Mae)

Quick character notes for her firstly:

- partly feels remorse for all the terrible and depraved things she's done in the past, so is trying to reform (but it's all hinging on QSH being alive; if he had died in his battle against Hades, she might have actually gone insane and regressed)

[ when QSH died back then, it made her actually try to become good and reform, so she permanently fled to Japan for a futile second lease in life. considered herself getting sealed into the sessho-seki and thus unable to enter Valhalla as a form of righteous punishment.]

- used to be a simple, lowly nature spirit (fox) that ascended into the seat of a (demon) god

- very promiscuous and shameless -> still is to an extent, but all of that is channeled towards QSH into a passionate, genuinely loyal (almost clingy) love

So apparently Honkai try to pull a lostbelt, their lostbelt is now a book and will return to being an actual place and civilisation in a year. I can't understand why people see the end of Amorpheus as such a huge deal. It's literally a Lostbelt deletion with none of the actual pathos behind it. Nobody is dead, they are still able to talk to you and they will return in some form or another. As someone who played all seven lostbelt, that just seems weaksauce.

I honestly don't know enough about Hoyoverse to give my thoughts on this. I guess a key part of what made the Lostbelt Arcs work was that outside of a handful of Servants, you really were deleting entire worlds and the most you had to remember them by was a Craft Essence that made you feel a little sad. So if that's not happening then it does sound a little weaker, yeah.

When MC is in the human world for over 9 months and the brothers can't go see them:

Mammon put his head in his hands. "They're pregnant."

Leviathan stepped up. He was shaking, his phone clutched in a death grip. "I have. It's called mpreg. I don't think it's common, but there are many stories documenting it online."

"You spend too much time on the internet." Lucifer grabbed Leviathan's DDD, hoping that confiscating it would restore some sanity to at least one of his brothers. There was an omegaverse webtoon on the screen.

i hate mischaracterizing characters, so for anyone who wants these, here are some facts/implied info about characters:

isagi is a loner and often skips out on parties and social events. this is because of how shy and awkward he is around other people and loud environments. (light novel, implied in the manga)

it’s impossible for nagi to hate anyone. even if someone is constantly making him work hard or taking his phone and games away, he is always calm and a pacifist. (egoist bible, implied in the manga)

rin is extremely kind and emotional under his stoic and emo exterior. he gives foreign tourists extremely detailed directions and is implied to be a good captain. (light novel, implied in the manga)

rin is also academically stupid in everything other than english. this is because he’s dead set on being a soccer player and therefore sees no point in any class other than english. (light novel)

karasu loves anything he finds special. he thinks that even rin and isagi are mediocre even though their blue lock’s number one, but he had a childhood crush on the only person he found special, a girl named marissa. (egoist bible)

sae doesn’t realize that he’s rude or has any malicious intent when he’s being an asshole. he just says what’s on his mind, no matter how mean or blunt. it’s confirmed that he does have friends, so he’s probably not always like this. (egoist bible, manga)

What people think happened (for some reason):

OM Team makes the original OM game

OM Team abandons it for no reason

OM Team makes Nightbringer

OM Team abandons Nightbringer for no reason

OM Team makes third OM game

Will definitely abandon it for no reason

And all of this is done out of greed, apparently (despite the fact that constantly releasing and "abandoning" games is a terrible business move that won't actually make you any money)

What ACTUALLY happened:

OM Team makes the original OM game

Game absolutely blows up, the servers become overloaded and are unable to keep up with the volume of players

Servers become too outdated to continue using long term

OM Team makes Nightbringer, giving the OM franchise room to grow again, and using servers that aren't nearly as obsolete and overtaxed

Meanwhile, the parent company (NTT Corp) spends multiple years making atrocious business decisions and mismanaging their subsidiaries, including Solmare

NTT Corp makes extremely bullshit decision to wrap up the OM games because they no longer want to fund the development of otome games AT ALL

OM Team is forced to make a hasty and unplanned conclusion to NB's main story, leaving the OM franchise in an uncertain position going forward

OM Team doesn't want to let the OM franchise die, promises to still release new content and projects

OM Team finds other game dev studios to collaborate with, and are now making a new OM game so that the franchise can keep living

OM Team takes fan demand into serious account, and heavily priorities romance in the new game, with deeper and more intimate relationships (something the fans have been begging for)

And this is all factual. This info has been confirmed by the old mods/staff of the official OM Discord, as well as multiple data miners who were able to see firsthand how outdated and overburdened the servers actually are. NTT Corp's business moves are very public and can easily be viewed online. None of this is a secret.

I'm not saying that the games are above criticism, or that nobody is allowed to have opinions about the new game coming out. All of that is fine. But there's a huge difference between an opinion, and outright misinformation. And the OM fandom has a huge problem with uncritically believing misinformation at face value and repeating it/spreading it around - which is at both the games AND the fans' detriment overall.
