Fandom Interpretations (Outside Prespective)

So I haven't seen Project Hail Mary yet but I have seen a LOT of fanart for it because of BloodyMary and Iron Lung (which I have seen). And tbh I never really interact with fics from fandoms I don't know but this has intrigued me so much I needed to read about the crack ship going on here.

This is kinda just for me as a silly little observation and maybe PHM fans can point and laugh at my awful interpretations of these two.

I have noticed that Grace gets a lot of the typical "small guy who can't do anything and is a baby" but Rocky is weird. Like I know I'll have to watch the movie to know if its OOC but I don't like that he is treated as both a potential romantic interest by some and as almost child-like for others? Again I'll have to watch it before I really decide how I feel but I've never been on the outside of a fandom looking in like its a little enclosure.

I also noticed that Simon is seen WILDLY different for everyone. Since Iron Lung came out I've been waiting for Simon content because I thought he was so interesting but the BloodyMary ship really gave him a chance in fandom I think. I'm normally picky with how characters are depicted in fan content but I've truely liked the variety of angles I've seen taken for him.

Either way I love all the art I've seen from this fandom and its anomaly dragged me out of art block so thank you lol.

I am still debating if I wanna watch someone play it or if I should wait till I can play it myself like I did with the RE4 Remake. Leon is definitely my favorite Resident Evil character and with all the attention they were giving him before Requiem's release I knew he was gonna be in it but I'm scared he's gonna die, especially with the return to Raccoon City.
