Red spotted tabby [d 24]
It is pretty funny how Spamton is a washed-out has-been stuck in the late 90’s but in Tenna’s eyes he is the very symbol of technological advancement and modernity because he’s a washed-out has-been stuck in the 70’s.
something i've just thought of. dragon blazers is based on the prophecy right (indirectly through lord of the hammer). thinking about susie's line "it's like when your sister gets cursed in dragon blazers 2", plenty of people have already pointed out the potential parallel to dess, but the thing is, susie says "your sister", like how people refer to the character you play as in video games as "you". which implies that the noelle parallel is the player character in dragon blazers 2?
which seems obvious now that i say it but i hadn't thought of it before and i hadn't seen anyone else talking about it. but. another point for "noelle was supposed to be a way bigger deal according to the prophecy but then Something Happened" theory perhaps
i don't know what the Japanese version does for all the jokes for the naming segment but you'll be happy to know that Susie inputs "クソダ" ("kusoda" i.e., "shit")
going from Kris no-selling Susie's attempts to be edgy to Susie no-selling Kris's attempts to be edgy
was joking with a friend about the spamtenna baby being one of those fucked up cats noelle keeps spawning and then it was suddenly not a joke
i can't believe i ever called myself an orv fan. "why are water and darkness such tightly knit motifs in deltarune" ink. it's fucking ink. the stuff you write stories with. creativity, imagination, dream put to paper, the tangible quantification of storytelling. liquid darkness. how the fuck didn't i put the two together, they should pelt me with tomatoes in the streets
i would also immediately use my free will for chocolate milk
It's that time again
GOAST AND GHOUL AND ZOAMBE TOO :)
the humble "like" is oft mocked despite what it does for us. "like, three people" is a vastly different statement from "three people". "and i was like 'what the fuck'" is vastly different from "and i said 'what the fuck'". i love you "like" and anyone who says you make people sound stupid will be killed on sight
so i think Mike Knight theory/"three mikes three knights" theory is sound--
the theory is basically that the Mike battle is a silly parallel of what's going on with the figure of the Knight ie that it's actually three people working together, the planner with the conspiracy board (Carol), the muscle (Dessknight), and the quiet one (Kris), but that people like the darkner bosses think The Knight is just one person
i think it's sound because it does seem very likely that this is the situation with the Knight, that Carol is masterminding some kind of plan with Kris and Dessknight is involved with it too and Kris knows about Dessknight etc.
but in that case-- what does This Thing represent??
for that matter, what is this thing? Real Mike? The Idea Of Mike?
i mean, you can say The Idea Of The Knight came from the prophecy originally, but then where did the prophecy come from? how did the lightners come to know about it?
King never met the Knight, he heard about it from Jevil. How did Jevil know? Who gave him the Shadow Crystal? Was it Dessknight, given that a Shadow Crystal breaks off of their sword? Did Jevil just find a Shadow Crystal, like Gerson finding one in his desk?
but thinking about it from the perspective of Mike Knight theory i think it's important to note that the three Mikes who actually fight you have no idea this Secret Fourth Thing exists. they know the idea of Mike existed before they decided to act as Mike because that's what prompted them to do that, but they haven't ever seen this weird floating microphone thing
so if it's a parallel to the Knight, then that implies there is some kind of Knight-ish Force in the background that Carol etc have only heard about second-hand and are emulating without really understanding
and i think there could be something in that because-- who made the dark world in the bunker and when? if Dess got lost in the dark world via the bunker and that's what prompted Carol to start her plan, making dark worlds or getting Dess and Kris to make them in order to get Dess back somehow-- then she didn't make the bunker dark world-- so who did?

Please elaborate on this theory, because I didn't understand a single word of it: https://www.tumblr.com/krispdreemurr/786618732741001216/is-anyone-else-a-believer-in-kris-is-dark-world?source=share
so weird route reveals that Berdly in the Light World is alive - comatose and unnaturally cold, but alive. his dark world death has left behind a functional breathing body, it's just killed off some fundamental will/motive force/whatever
what if you could do that deliberately, and then replace that will/motive force with a new one? still a functioning body with a mind of its own, so still the same person, but with something else providing force of will and control. and in the dark world either it animates your incapacitated form or it creates a new one around itself based on you (not sure which yet, i do kind of like the idea of dw!kris being somewhere imprisoned in black crystal to disconnect them from Kris or some dramatic shit).
wouldn't it result in someone who can only function so long without that additional force, who begins to lapse into unconsciousness as their borrowed will fades? someone who Can't go into the dark world alone, because there they don't exist?
basically, answering the old question of "where's Kris' original soul" with "the Dark World lets you selectively kill that pretty easily"
okay so here's the thing, these things--
that are climbing all over the hatching titan, they appear WAY earlier in chapter 4 too. i think all the way back in the first sanctuary if i'm remembering correctly?? and in i think the second or maybe third sanctuary, there's a climbing section where you're being chased by a whole wave of these things, and i think another section where you're being chased by just like, a dark cloud? and also, the mysterious enemies in the dark sections in the first sanctuary use the titan spawn sprite, and all of this stuff makes me think that sprite was an intentional choice and not just a placeholder, like toby didn't just pick whatever sprite because you're never supposed to see it in the game anyway, he intended for that thing to be a titan spawn in the fiction. or something like a titan spawn. which is WEIRD. like why are all these things appearing even before the knight actually makes the titan? maybe it's something to do with there still being two fountains in basically the same space, even if they're not the fountain-in-fountain that creates a titan? idk but it's weird
