Not the best photo cos I was rushin but this was my fit today.
Got a Hatsune Miku tee from work and cut the sleeves of cos it was nonsense hot today. Rip knee jeans and an old flannel bush shirt that I nicked with permission from my fiance's mom. + Plenty of brackets (a spikey each arm), rings and necklaces cos that's always my vibe.
Can't really see em but rockin some black mosh pit stomper boots. Also cyberpunk 2077 snapback over white bandana cos that's a vibe I'm digging atm.

Just in case people want source, here you go: humans are compelled to help each other in disaster situation, humans feel an innate urge to help others. We will help strangers too, not just family, and it has been tested.
Also we’ve always taken care of our elderly and disabled. When life was literally “hunt and gather every day to live”, we saw value in taking care of those with disabilities.

Styling my handmade pants and jacket
My outfit today!!
Borrowed the jacket from the person I'm seeing. Everything else is mine. The 3/4 kilt needs an iron tho apparently. Also need to find something to go on the chains on the vest cos it looks a little empty. And yes that is a long sleeve mesh crop Im rocking. I'm just wearing a "skin tight" black tee underneath because I'm still working on my exposed midriff in public confidence.
I feel like I'm going through a "nature is healing" phase atm. As I morph away from the person she pushed me into and back to the person I want to be, the person that I am. Thus all the punk stuff. I feel like I'm rediscovering myself. Diving into the things that I would've dove into years ago if I wasn't being forced into a certain person by someone who only wanted to use me for my heart. I hate that I wasted 5 years with her. But I'm happy that I won't waste anymore. Seeing someone who actually cares for you and is already deep into the punk subculture helps as well. Still homeless but things do get better.
My Punk 101 Zine (Volume 1)
I had an absolutely amazing time putting together this zine over this past month, and you guys can definitely look forward to more in the future. No promises on exact timelines though. I had originally intended to do this partially digitally and partially by hand, but found that the combination looked odd and out of place so I stuck with digital (or maybe I just haven't figured out the trick to it yet lol). But I'm really happy with how the final result turned out! And a HUGE shoutout to @necromancy-savant for sharing his sonnet with me for this zine and to @dopamineband for sending me over some info to work with for their page.
(P.S. I wanted to make it a full 8 pages so I could make physical copies too, but couldn't think of anything to add so you get a word search :D)

if you’re looking for a cool new punk band to listen to, i highly recommend looking for local small bands before searching “punk” into spotify.
don’t know how to find them?
what i did is i looked up what some punk bars in my area, i started going on random nights and found bands i liked that way. (if you’re under 21, you can still look up the bars, but go to their instagram, see what bands are playing and see if they are on band camp, spotify, etc.)
this has worked amazing for me, i’ve made so many friends, it’s to the point where certain bands shows feel like monthly family reunions full of so much love and genuine compassion.
hope this helps anyone wanting to be more involved in the subculture
EDIT: if you live in a small town, just search the nearest big city. or honestly any city that you vibe with. every area has a slightly different sound and scene find what you blend with!!
