The last day of the 'halloween' days, so to speak: All Souls Day. 💀🎃 Here's a photo from the summer of this beautiful garden spider, her body almost as large as a 50 cent piece that lived by my gate for half of the summer only coming out at night within her rebuilt web. One evening I returned home and the movement light come on as usual. A honey bee 🐝 flew into the web and down rushed the spider from her middle spot 🕸, wrapped the trapped honey bee all in the space of 7 seconds. It was sadly magical to see. This is a benign photo of her on another evening being the art piece that she was. Reason # 27 why I love living in Spokaloo. Spokane river, mamma moose and her adolescent. First time for Po meeting a moose. He barked in fear and to protect as I put a tree between me and the mamma reassuring him and asking him to stop. She was 10 feet away as I sapped this shot and walked by her.
