That was it? There wasn’t a tint of pain showed on Liv’s face, which made the bipedal exhaled in relief. She crept forward wearily, allowing the woman to tie the cloth around her leg since the wound was becoming more serious, nobody wants to have germs in their wounds, do they? Unwillingly, she outstretched her wounded part from the leafs, helping to make the “ treatment “ more easier to do, well, at least Echo thought so herself. And she must admit that, the gentle touch of Liv sure was satisfying. As to Liv’s question, the bipedal nodded in agreement although she’d already made her choice very clear, which was to allow her to heal the wounded limb.

A small smile appeared on Liv's face as soon as she saw Echo relax and come closer once again. She stopped her there, then came closer instead, not wanting the raptor to hurt herself more that she already was. Shifting so she was hovering over Echo's leg then, Liv unwrapped the ripped stripes off her arm, then gently lifted Echo's leg so it rested on her own before gently starting to wrap the torn shirt around the wound. She didn't want to tie it too tightly, but also not too loose. Just right so the bleeding would stop until Owen would come and pick them up.

As soon as she was finished, Liv gently stroke her leg, then carefully set it down so she could come close to Echo's head and stroke her snout. "There. I'm done. Was it that bad?"

“Alright, first of all,” Owen snapped, “You shouldn’t even be in here unsupervised. Second of all, there’s a reason I’m the only one who feeds the raptors. You could have gotten your arm torn off. Or worse.”

He took a deep breath, tried to stop yelling. She was just a kid, she was over excited about her job, it wasn’t her fault.

“Sorry. I just… Don’t want you, or anyone else-… This isn’t a petting zoo, y’know? Those raptors will kill you if they get half a chance. So don’t give ‘em one, alright?”

“Can ya please stop treatin’ me like I’m a bloody eight year old kid? I’m old enough to take care of meself, Owen!” Live frowned deeply, crossing her arms across her chest. This was more than unfair, especially since she had a degree in Paleontology and knew, more or less, what she was doing. Owen on the other hand... But she wouldn't argue on that now with him.

She sighed then, running her hand through her hair before looking up at her mentor. "Look, I really appreciate you caring fer me so much. But I ain't stupid. I knew what dangers there are with raptors. I've studied their behaviour, I got a degree in Palentology... I might be young and reckless in yer eyes but I can take care of me. I ain't as fragile as ye might think."

“Owen!” Olivia came in rushing, slight panic in her eyes. “I jus’ overheard a couple of Hoskins’ men talk about Hoskins wantin’ to organize a battle arena for the dinosaurs to fight it!”

“Well, still, you will be one day. I like adrenaline and everything, but yikes. It’s a herbivore life for me.” Viv shook her head. “I’ll stick to watching the raptors from the control room, thanks anyway. What made you decide to do the whole raptor trainer thing anyway?” she asked curiously.

Liv chuckled lightly, then nodded, understanding what the other meant. “I getcha completely. Ev’rybody ‘as their own preferences.” She then smiled a bit. “It’s because of me Grandpa. He was a Palaeontologist and he worked with Mr. Hammond in creatin’ the original Jurassic Park. He’d always tell me stories about ‘is adventures and excavations and I always knew I’d wanna be like ‘im one day.”

Being done with cleaning the shelter for the day, Liv, leaning against the broom, watched one of the raptors, Delta, from behind the safety of the closed doors to the enclosure. No matter how long she was working there, Liv still found watching the raptors fascinating.

Carefully, Liv was walking closer to the cage bars, observing the new raptor with curiosity. It wasn’t every day that this happened and of course, the trainee was very excited. But she wanted to see the raptor on her own at first now that she had the chance.

I apologize for my lack of activity here, all of my muses actually decided to nope out so I wasn’t really doing replies on any of my blogs. I’m here now though and I’m queuing the starters from the starter call I owe as well as replying to drafts I have. Queue posts 5 replies/starters per day. That voice piqued the huntress’s interest, and her desire to kill suddenly dissipated. It was pleasant sounding, welcoming, and nothing like the money grabbers who spoke to her as if she was a pet that they could tame. It was an unconscious act, but her scales slowly lost their color and returned to their usual blank hue, revealing her entire stature to the human. Indominus never approached the catwalk, but the people had not fed her all day and the animal’s sides ached with hunger. Perhaps if she showed herself they would remember that a creature lived within this cramped den, and she had needs they must tend to. After all, they were responsible for bringing her into this world.

Taking very few steps forward and making her presence known, the hybrid raised her head and awaited her daily meal, expecting it to come from the stranger.

Liv of course had had a bucket with raw meat on her, probably nothing in comparison with what the Indominus Rex could eat, but she figured out that it would be a good thing to try and give her the meat as treat. She had seen Owen giving the raptors rats as a treat for being good and following orders he gave them, so why not try it here as well? It certainly couldn’t hurt to try. Eyes still scanning the area beneath her, Liv waited patiently for the I-Rex to reveal herself and it didn’t even take that much time for her to come out of her hideout. She was much bigger than she imagined her to be, at least for a dinosaur her age. The colour was an interesting one as well, almost white. Could she perhaps change colour to camouflage herself? Liv wasn’t told much about the I-Rex, but that didn’t matter right now.

Smiling lightly down at the I-Rex, Liv then bent down and grabbed a hunk of meat, then carefully tossed it towards the Rex. If anything, Owen taught her that getting close to a carnivore always went through their stomach.

“Hey there, Blue,” Liv said with a small smile as she came closer to the Beta. Hoskins was insisting on seeing the raptors for some reason and Owen charged her in watching over Blue while he’d deal with Hoskins.

Liv was finally allowed to feed the raptors on her own that day. Owen was busy with something that couldn’t be postponed and needed Barry to help him as well, so the trainee took the usual bucket of rats which would be treats as well as a bucket with raw meat. Stepping out onto the catwalk, Olivia used Owen’s clicker to get the pack’s attention. “Lunch time, girls!” she called out.
