I swear to Wizard God* if I’m getting asked one more time where and when I’m going to wear the dresses I create I’m going to use every bobby pin and every sewing and embroidery and sewing machine needle I own and put them into the person asking!

If I don’t find occasions to wear historical dresses (unlikely, there are enough!) I’m going to create occasions!

So how often have you heard this question? What do you answer to that? Is there a witty comeback you use?

I’m not going to wear them, I’m going to buy mannequins from a closeout department store and force them to wear my creations. Then I’m going to surround myself with them in a room and pretend I have friends.
