Ive never felt so empty in all my life.
Telling someone with deoression to ‘just smile’ and ‘stop being so negatuve is like telling the sky to stop being blue. You just dont say it.
Have people never though that I have tried being positive and its not worked and thats why im depressed in the first place???
I SMILE EVWRY DAM DAY DOESNT MEAN IM HAPPY. ITS CALLED LYING. Everybody does it.
today my therapist told me that a panic attack consumes about the same amount of energy as running a marathon and suddenly my lack of energy doesn’t seem so strange
it’s SO important to take care of yourself after a panic attack! it drains so much energy and many people feel selfish taking time after an attack to care for themselves but it’s so important!!! drink tea and read or take a bath or just go to sleep. let your body and mind relax and recuperate.
I understand what this stick figure is feeling
Let me tell you, if you are ever with a person who has anxiety, and they ask you to order their food for them, or stand next to them when they buy something, or reassure them countless times exactly the time and place where you will be meeting them at, DO NOT ROLL YOUR EYES, DO NOT SIGH IN EXASPERATION, AND DO NOT TELL THEM TO STOP BEING SO SILLY. Sometimes its hard to do simple things like that, and when people help us out, it means the world to us.
This is so important!
I remember how my parents & family members would tell me to “grow up” & “You need to learn to do shit by yourself”. They always thought that I made up my anxiety & depression. To this day, I still have problems being around huge crowds, ordering my food at restaurants, & going into public places alone. Grocery shopping is a huger problem for me. I don’t even go to the gym, unless I have a buddy with me!
Point is, be understanding. These might seem like easy things for you to but, for someone with anxiety, this is a huge everyday challenge. Patience & understanding that’s all we ask for.
