ISIS just claimed responsibility for 2 terrorist suicide explosions that hit the Lebanese capital’s southern suburb, killing 40 innocent civilians and injuring 200 in the process. The death toll is still on the rise. 2 other terrorists were heading to the area: one of them was killed and the other was captured by the army which means that ISIS was planning to target the capital with 4 simultaneous explosions. Kindly keep us in your prayers.

i’m trying to be very careful about the information i post about what’s going on at the university of missouri b/c

black students are being threatened with violence and murder

in light of this, broadcasting the names and images of specific black students all over social media strikes me as counterproductive

and i’m not talking about student activists who have made the choice to be vocal and visible at this time

i’m talking about nineteen-year-olds using their personal social media accounts to tell their friends “i’m afraid for my life,” who should be allowed to do so without having their name and picture rack up tens of thousands of notes on tumblr in the name of “signal boosting”

black students are speaking to the press using pseudonyms because they fear retaliation and are afraid for their lives; please think about that before you reblog a tweet or facebook status with someone’s full name or picture in it

spreading personal information about individual black teenagers when their lives are literally at stake is not good allyship
