Inglorious Bastards - Quentin Tarantino
In all the frames above there is the use of shadows and in show a hard key light. I like this use of black space to create suspense and mystery.
Teaching
I've had the urge recently to teach. Nothing really specific but I just want to explain something to the absolute tee. I guess it's because I've been having these random throw entries, grip play, and newaza attacks which are all just theories and maybe teaching it would get my thoughts outloud. It's a good way to learn right? I want to see to the new kids grow and love Judo as much as I do. I want to see their brains work. I want to see meg grow and keep become a state champ one day. I want to see what her potential is. I don't know.

Even though I didn't enjoy The Theory of Everything that much, I couldn't help but love her.

A selection of Backgrounds from the Steven Universe episode: Mirror Gem
Art Direction: Elle Michalka
Design: Steven Sugar, Emily Walus
Paint: Amanda Winterstein, Jasmin Lai
Some backgrounds I designed for Mirror Gem! That shot of the fry shop is the first of many early key backgrounds we redid between the end of season 1A and the beginning of 1B, so look forward to more of those!
Also that’s one of my favorite Gem Temple palettes of the season! Jasmin and Amanda always do such an amazing job!
