Toxic.

Your toxicity exists. And it is sometimes heavy inside. It exists in patterns, it exists in cycles, it exists despite not meaning to, it exists to be an exception, it exists because someone let you flaw. It exists because your perfection rebelled.

The consciousness of your human.

But we don’t allow ourselves our toxicity. We don’t parade our detours. We are conditioned to display perfection even when we don’t want to. We are programmed to move towards the opposite of our humanness, because if we don’t; we will be asked to change. And change is scary.

Perhaps we shouldn’t. Don’t change. Adapt with what’s not okay, and display it so much you render it charming. Tell yourself it’s okay not to be happy. And that sometimes you will not coexist. That may be, your pessimism is not a misfortune. And that their right is your wrong. That sometimes we will obsess and panic and confuse and hurt. And maybe it’s not okay, but that is okay.

Reclaim your human. Your dark and heavy. Your rides and tides. Your exceptions.

At the end of the day, we are all a temporary. A once upon memory. You will not exist thereafter.

The Palestine of Mockingjay.

I am probably not the only one who took a note of this whilst Mockingjay played on the screens in the past week. But watching the parallelism play out so eloquently right across, with a lens of bereavement and a restless mount of bitterness, I couldn’t stay put. I couldn’t not look more into it. I couldn’t not relate. I couldn’t be driven into it for the sole purpose of entertainment. I couldn’t watch it and not see Palestine and Gaza and the revolution in the face of the sickening ‘games’ of the Zionists.  I’ll start off thick, no ranting, so please bear with me.

Hunger games is mostly based on President Snow’s obsession with control and supreme authority which is satisfied and justified by his limitless use of all forms of violence. And the key here is control, whether it means the repression of any ‘rebellious’ movement, or the bombing of hospitals occupied by unarmed severely injured civilians, or the ruthless murder of children, or torturing and brainwashing prisoners using fear, or social and political authority imposed through media and carefully watched and controlled by the ‘state/Capitol’ to emphasize their ‘message’ (i.e. ‘defending ourselves’), or how all information are filtered and any ‘out of the ordinary’ is immediately suppressed and taken into custody.  There is no ‘symbolism’ here, not even ‘parallelism’, I watched an excerpt of the life in Palestine yesterday; two hours to remind me that israel’s obsession with power and control is poisonous. The way President Snow took a stance to tell the people that since his “great Nation provides order and security”, anyone that “resists the system” will “starve” and anyone that “fights the system” will bleed, that resistors are criminals who must be “punished”. Therefore all his tactics are applied only to secure a “peaceful, civilised nation”. Ring a bell? Netanyahu took the same stance to tell the rest of the World that his bombing of hospitals and schools and beaches, and his Nation’s murder of innocent civilians, is just a defence against the ‘resistance’, that it’s okay because they are killing and bombing in the name of ‘peace’. That no matter the causalities, it is the price you pay for ‘fighting’ a system of oppression.

Hunger games is not just a work of fiction; do not be stupid. Let it get to you. Let it make you realise that the Capitol exists as we speak and oppression is nurtured by their violence and defended by their sickening schemes. Let it make you understand that their barbarous and cruel tactics, defence schemes and repetitive security speeches, are only there to nourish fear in every single one of us. Because as the Hunger games imply; when there is Fear, there is no Hope. The Capitol is scared of Panem’s Hope, just as much as israel fears ours.  Palestinians are fearless, and to israel; a fearless is a criminal.
