They're on a lunch break (soup again).
I haven't seen the newest season of X-Men 97 because i am NOT getting a disney+ subscription, but I imagine it's pretty good. Here's a comic dedicated to Scott Summer's enfatuation with soup and Kurt's oddly cat-shaped sillouhette.
I hate you Ozempic craze I hate you 'heroin chic' I hate you weight loss ads on public radio I hate Burn Fat Fast ads every thirty seconds I hate you I hate you I hate you
I grew up before the term 'thigh gap' was invented I grew up before 'hip dip' was invented I was born before 'muffin top' was a thing before 'clean girl look' was a thing before 'glass skin' was a thing before razoring off peach fuzz was a thing and I'm so so so fucking tired of us inventing new concepts purely for the purpose of convincing people to hate their own bodies enough to buy products
i hate you society constantly pressuring people to lose as much weight as inhumanly possible and then stigmatize, demonize, and disregard people with eating disorders of any kind and make it incredibly hard to seek any sort of support in a cycle that never stops perpetuating fatphobia into every aspect of our lives
simple romy edit i made a while ago that im still pretty proud so yeah
i usually just like to make em for myself to stare at but this time i feel like sharing w the class
song is black knife by toby fox, from the deltarune ch 3/4 soundtrack!
something interesting ive always liked about gambit & rogue is their intentional choice to stay childless. mutants are encouraged by each other to have kids because they want there to be more mutants, for them to be on an equal level population-wise to humans. i like that they both agree wholeheartedly, that they care for each other so deeply and agree that their world is not yet built for mutants, and having a child would bring danger both to the kid and themselves. hell, they witnessed it firsthand with cyclops & phoenix when they had cable.
but they also arenât just âwaiting for the right timeâ, they for the most part just donât want kids. i think people still focus on that part of marriage too much. i donât mind when characters have kids, but i also like when characters are allowed to get married and continue to live without kids. gambit & rogue didnât marry with the idea of having kids (considering how much of freaks they are theyâd probably have had kids outside of wedlock anyways lmao), they got married because they love each other.
i like that they get another layer to them of not fitting in the norm. that even in some mutant circles, theyâre ostracized by their own people for not wanting to create more mutants. even in spaces meant for minorities, they remain segregated and ostracized.
i forgot i was supposed to enjoy making art
slowly getting out of artblock, quick doodle of a random drow
The Odyssey but retold as a low-stakes modern adventure of one guy out with his girlfriend leaving the bar with his buddies to do just one (1) simple thing real quick, it'll take like 15 minutes tops, he'll be right back, but then some bullshit happens and the trip keeps getting more complicated as more bullshit keeps happening while he just tries to get back to the bar because he promised his girlfriend that he'd get back and he knows that she's still there because she told him she'd wait there.
And by the time he finally gets back it's almost 3 am and the bar is about to close while she's sitting there stone cold sober, surrounded by 5 drunk guys unsuccessfully trying to convince her to give up on waiting for him and go home with one of them instead. And the guy shows up to proceed to beat the shit out of them before explaining himself to her like hey sorry bullshit kept happening, my phone fell into a storm drain and my wallet got stolen when I was trying to find someone who'd borrow me a phone so I could call and
His girlfriend had been fending off the 5 drunk guys for most of the evening by explaining that even if she was going to ditch her boyfriend, she can't possibly leave without finishing her beer, which she is keeping perpetually full via careful sleight of hand where she's just pouring it back and forth into and out of the pitcher.
However the drunk guys are also drinking, and eventually she can't afford to buy another pitcher for the table so she can't keep up the ever-full beer glass trick. At this point she has to resort to setting up the pool trick shot that she's never seen anyone but her boyfriend pull off, and says she'll leave with whoever manages the shot first.
That buys her another hour or so and then, finally, her boyfriend makes it back. He looks like shit, hair down and just a mess, he's wearing an entirely different jacket that he got from an alley, and barely recognizableâespecially to 5 guys who've been drunk for hours now. He lurks for a minute, finds out what's going on, and proceeds to pull off the trick shot first try. Throws the jacket off, fixes his hair with a hair tie his girlfriend lends him, finally looks like himself again, and THEN beats the shit out of them with the pool cue.
yuh i was there, that's how it happened
