We are pretty much in the only time in history when the conversation about whether trans men are privileged makes even a little bit of sense. Like yeah that guy who is legally an appendage of his husband who he married at 15 and has had 8 kids with since then is just soooo male privileged. If we’re going to talk about how there are more visible trans women throughout history than trans men (which is constantly used as a justification to claim trans men have never contributed to the queer community) we are actually going to have to talk about why. And talk about how that example I gave is happening *right now* all around the world.
I think one reason that the myth that trans men never contributed to queer rights is so popular is because a lot of the most famous historical trans men were black.... But idk if y'all are ready for that
