nobody's going to care about this but I feel the need to share my newest story and ocs. I hope John Tumblr will bless me with views

this whole thing is set in the 60s

this is Arthur. he's a wandering glider dragonfly. he's a self proclaimed poet (not the best one in fact, his poems are either about love or his travels) and an aviator. his life's goal is to reach the world's edge. every winter he stops in a random town to rest and entertain the locals. he's from somewhere in southern Italy, mostly because his main inspo is Italian music my father listens to. he is partially inspired by the poet Gabriele D'Annunzio (I don't like that guy. I hated studying him.). Although his poems are about love, he's actually somewhere in the aromantic spectrum and barely feels like that towards people, despite his charm. he's well liked by everyone, even though he's a little self absorbed and maybe talks about his journey too much. he's about 55, and has been travelling since he was in his early twenties. his voice claim isn't really set, but I have 2: the lead singer of the Italian band Folkabbestia or the old less singer of Modena city Ramblers. Cisco. yeah I don't know. he also plays the accordion.

this is Zachary. he's a greyling butterfly with no wings, since they've been forcefully ripped off in a vicious fight he had back in his youth. he used to be a prestigious violin player, the kind to snob everyone who doesn't see music as seriously as him. he used to be admired by the folks in his small Irish town, yet some people (ESPECIALLY other butterflies) really hated his snobby "I'm better than you" act, so they picked a fight with him one day, which he didn't refuse, and indeed participated in, thinking he's win. in that fight he lost his dignity, wings, violin and well his job. after that he became the old man shut in that no one likes. he barely speaks to anyone nor does he exit his home. he became even more judgmental and gruff, but he keeps to himself. he still plays the violin, but only by himself. he doesn't have a specific voice claim, so if you have suggestions that'd help. he's also about 55 ish and in the aromantic spectrum!

They are complete opposites, yes, but they have a story together believe it or not.

one year, Arthur decides to spend his cold months in the small Irish town that Zach happens to live in. everyone loves him, he sings, laughs, plays and drinks with the locals. Zach really hates his whole vibe, but Arthur actually starts talking to him, since the locals have told him about his past as a violin player. they end up becoming unlikely friends, and then way more than that... Arthur finally can use his incredible charm on someone. unfortunately though, Arthur ends up leaving, not being able to bring his beloved with him. he promises to come back once he found world's edge. he does indeed come back after a few years, but Zach passed due to his horrible health probably. so yeah doomed bug yaoi. do with this what you will Tumblr nation

i don't have my iPad on me rn so maybe I'll draw it later but sure I can talk about it! :3

I made those designs really recently so I don't have many headcannons, but I really like the idea of them being very normal monsters and just living their life even is they live in the trash heaps and don't have any money 💔💔 they probably also have the dream of being big shots together but they're happy with having each other anyways 💖💖
