Itâs been ten years since the high school clique calling themselves the Knights of Hell has seen each other. They are gathered for a reunion of sorts at a two story house off of a bayou.Ten years ago the brother of one of the Knights was driven to suicide (or was he?) - everyone gathered for the weekend had some part to play in the untimely demise of Castiel Novak.
As all the Knights are gathered an electronically altered voice alerts them that they are there to atone for the part they each played in Castielâs fate ten years ago. They are joined by Dean Winchester who was another tool used in their torment as the knights went after every support Castiel had at school and ran off his friends.
They soon discover that none of their group sent out the invites and that something more sinister is at play.
The main living room was spacious and appointed with many couches and comfy chairs. The guests had decided to reassemble there to catch up before heating up food for a late lunch.
A voice that had undergone heavy electronic manipulation seemed to come from the walls, though no speakers could be seen.
"Greetings, 'honored' guests," the voice said, dripping with sarcasm. "I see that this gathering is almost complete. Ah, I think the last guest is arriving now."
From outside the house they could hear the sound of a clunky car making noises as if it were about to fall apart. A quick look out the window gave them a glimpse of an old AMC Gremlin. Climbing out of the driver's seat was the last person any of them would have expected to see: Dean Winchester.
Dean grabbed a duffle bag from the passenger seat and climbed the steps to the porch. He entered the house, and looking at the guests already assembled he said, "Oh, Hell, no!"
"Well, look who it is, the former golden boy of all the sports teams. What are you doing here, Dean?" April asked, venom dripping from her words.
"I was invited here," Dean replied. Before he could say more, the disembodied voice spoke again.
"Indeed he was. Now that all are assembled we can begin."
"Begin what?" Alastair sneered.
"Begin atoning for the death of Castiel and the parts that you all played."
"What that weak boy did was on him. We had nothing to do with it," April hissed.
"Oh, but didn't you?" the voice responded. "Each of you had a part to play that night and the weeks leading up to it. You made it your mission to make his life a living misery. Josie, you spread rumors and tried to get Celeste Middleton expelled for cheating. Clearing her name took her focus from protecting her close friend Castiel. Azazel, you burned down the restaurant owned by the parents of Castiel's other close friend, Benny. After the fire and the rumors and lies spread by Josie and Lilith, he had to move away, removing what physical protection Castiel had from bullies like Alastair, who physically tormented him for weeks when he could get away with it."
"Hey," Dean said, "I stuck up for him."
"Yes, you did, Dean. That was, until Lilith and Josie found out from April what a homophobe your old man was and threatened to spread rumors that you and Castiel were an item. You knew your dad would beat you near to death if he ever caught wind of such a thing, so those last few weeks you suddenly found yourself needing to be anywhere Castiel wasn't."
Dean hung his head in shame and said nothing further.
