((So unfortunately I fucking died for the entire month of November. That’s embarrassing.
Anyway this is both a starter call (cap at 3) and a question if anyone wants to continue threads we started before my untimely death disappearance.))

[ ♣ ] - Hawke barely glances at the sign hanging above the door - Angel Wings Apothecary – before he’s pushing the door open and making his way inside. He’s barely through the door, and he can already tell this is a whole lot different than what he’s used to. Hawke’s not even close to being used to the whole technology thing.
[ ♣ ] - He browses down the aisles, not really sure what it is he’s looking for exactly. Having healing potions on hand would be a smart idea, probably. Hawke tends to get hurt a lot. Despite his truly ridiculous muscle mass, he still tends to overcompensate enough to give his opponents the upper hand.
[ ♣ ] - He really should stop doing that.
[ ♣ ] - Hawke glances towards the counter, and finds that there isn’t an employee manning it. He sighs, resigning himself to wait until someone shows up. Aside from the healing potions, there are a couple of books he’d like to buy. He walks over the counter, leaning up against it and crossing his arms over his chest. He might be here a while.
What good are Boots of Haste if I’m still late to work? Vax wonders to himself as he speeds down the street towards Angel Wings Apothecary. He’s barely been here a week-
(didn’t expect to be here, wasn’t supposed to be here, this wasn’t the beyond, his mother wasn’t here, The Raven Queen wouldn’t just let him go)
- and Vax was lucky to have gotten this job as quick as he did, and he knows he only got it because the owners are kind. So, running late? Not the best course of action at the moment.
Vax nearly crashes through the door, the momentum he’s built up sending him almost flying (ha!) through the shop. He barely stops himself from slamming into the man waiting at the counter. A customer? Shit! Regaining his balance and slamming his heels together to halt the boots, Vax smiles weakly at the man before him.
“Sorry about that, it’s been a rough morning. I’m Vax, welcome to Angel Wings Apothecary. Can I help you?”

✿✿✿ [ The girl’s eyes sparkled as she watched her new partner in not-crime summon a literal shield; she had been here for a while but she’d never seen someone use real magic yet!! She almost didn’t even catch his comment, instead cocking her rifle and touching to the ground to take aim. ]
“yup!! your shield is pretty cool, too!!”
✿✿✿ [ She popped a couple of unfortunate undead square between the eyes before looking back over to the sparkly shield encasing the other. It was so pretty!! But now was not the time to get distracted! With a twitch of her ears, the rifle in her hands shrunk, and she pocketed it with ease, holding her arms out instead and shrinking the rest of the horde around them with ease!!
✿ In the small lull she had created, she looked to her new friend again. ]
“i’m jade!! nice to meet you!!”
...well. That was new. He could only blink in shocked silence for a moment, looking around at the lack of undead threatening them. This was very powerful magic, and Vax felt a shiver of unease creep down his spine.
The last person he’d met with magic this powerful had disintegrated him, after all.
Still, the girl- Jade - seemed friendly, if a bit overenthusiastic. Looks can be deceiving, true, but for now his gut told him that Jade was a friend, and it wasn’t like her actions had given him reason to think otherwise. In fact, with this small reprieve from the undead, Vax would be stupid if he didn’t take the offered chance to breathe and compose himself.
“A pleasure to meet you Jade. I am Vax’ildan.” He paused for a moment, and eyes the area around them. “That was. Quite a trick.”

“ Uh… “
“ S-sir! “ She’s used to being in the air, but that’s by her own power! Being carried by a guy with weird wings isn’t usually something that she takes part in! “ I know that the cape looks like a bag, but I’m not supplies, really! “ Reloading her gun, Ruby takes aim at a large hoard of undead and shoots– did she even hit it? She’s not good at aiming when she’s mobile like this! “ Can you put me down now? Please? “
“Down isn’t exactly the safest spot at the moment!” Neither is up, really, considering he’s dodging arrows left and right. But he wasn’t about to leave this girl by herself in the middle of that huge...herd? horde? whatever. There were just too many on the ground for them to fight without getting swarmed, and even if the bites truly weren’t infectious, that didn’t mean they weren’t still dangerous.
“There’s a roof coming up with good cover. If I drop you down, can you hit them from there?”
