Sigils
Today I wanted to share my method for sigil making. It’s quite simple really and there are various ways of charging and activation, which I think go with what the person likes to do or fits best the purpose of the sigil!
How to create a sigil from scratch
This is a very simple and nice way for beginners to start making magic! Do they work? OF COURSE THEY DO. Don’t doubt your magic. If we doubt it, it won’t work!
Also, this is simply how I do it, although there are various ways to create them!
Gather your materials: pen & paper
Sit in a comfortable place, maybe your desk or somewhere you won’t be disrupted for a while.
Write an affirmative sentence in your paper. This is what you want of the sigil. For example: “I pass the literature exam”. Why do we write it in affirmative? Because using negative words or future tenses isn’t going to help our purpose. We need to command / ask of it as if it were already true.
Now that you have your sentence (shouldn’t be too long) cross out all the vowels.
Now you have consonants left, cross out any repeating consonants.
Write down what you have left. Do you see any letters that would fit INTO other letters? Like a C into a G, or a R into a B? I personally cross the ones I think would look similar so I simplify the sigil.
Time to draw! You are trying to make a composition out of the letters remaining. Start drabbling, thinking of the purpose of the sigil to imbue it with your energy. Adjust the drawing as much as necessary until you are happy with it. And then twist it again if you want so you have something more artsy! YOU are the one making it, so it should please you. Also remember this is a form of chaos magic, which means there are little to no rules and what makes this work is the unconscious.
So now that you finished it, I would cut the sigil so that there’s no much paper left and look at it, concentrate and meditate about its purpose. THat’s how I charge them: meditating with them in my hands, giving them energy and purpose.
When you feel it’s enough, you have some options to activate them:
Burn them: like in the gif above. Many people swear by this method, you are actually activating it by destroying it. Do you have to destroy it? Not necessarily, but whatever floats your boat. Be sure to have sunken it well into your unconscious before your burn it, and then don’t think about it. It will do its magic!
Sunlight: a good alternative to burning if you are a hidden witch or don’t want to destroy it. I take a peg or clip and pin it up outside my window at night so it will both take in moon and sun energy. Leave it there until necessary.
Water: you can write your sigil and them expose it to rain or current water for it to blur and disappear, and then consider it’s activated!
Wear them: if it goes well with the purpose of the sigil, you may even want to wear it. Sew it into clothes, take it into your wallet, put it in your shoe.
Bury them: take it to a place you like and bury it, for it to slowly decompose and free the energy of the spell. I’m sure there are certain purposes for which this is a great activation option!
There are many more and I’m sure everyone comes up with new ways to use sigils. I just wanted to share my way of creating and activating them. If you have any more suggestions please let me know! I’m always reading about how others use sigils.

When Spirit Hears You
Every full moon I make a list of things, people, experiences, places ideas, and values that aren’t serving me and I burn them. I usually see the normal orange colored flames so this time, I wasn’t expecting anything but the usual.
This time I was stopped in my tracks because I had several colored flames going at the same time! I saw green and blue they were the brightest, purple and yellow. I literally couldn’t move until the flames died down and turned orange. I never saw the flames so big either! There was lots of magic in my bathroom sink let me tell you.
Here’s what I found out:
Blue: The primary spiritual color It’s used to obtain wisdom, harmony, inner light, or peace; confers truth and guidance. Other uses include healing, sleep, creativity, perception, calming wisdom, truth, loyalty, dreams, and the examination of emotions. Some say it represents the divine mother.
Green: Promotes prosperity, fertility, and success. Stimulates good luck, can increase money, harmony, and rejuvenation. Also represents Healing, health, and growth. Can be an important component in rituals involving Venus; attracts love, and social delights.
Purple: Is used to obtain desires, power and success. Can stimulate idealism and psychic manifestations and help make contact with the spiritual world. Increases enthusiasm, desire and power. Is also powerful for healing, and spiritual development. Some attempt to use it for power over others
Yellow: Represents attraction, charm, confidence and persuasion. Used to stimulate mental clarity, knowledge and concentration. Also used in healing. Like gold, it can serve for magic and rituals involving solar energies and deities associated with the sun. Stimulates logic, aids in overcoming mental blocks and promoting the self. The burning of candles for spiritual works goes back to ancient times. Many spiritual workers believe that the flame of the candle pierces the veil between the physical and the Spiritual world and creates a passageway that allows the prayers and petitions to be more readily received by those from whom help is being sought out.
Spirit is always around us listening and working.Â
