Just rewatched episode 4 with my sister, and I realized something. When Wilhelm comes back to school, they gave him another room and the Headmistress goes to stroke Wilhelm’s cheek, but then he hugs her. He is not close to her, but he still did. And that’s probably because she just gave him the first little mark of affection ever since Erik’s death. You see how surprised she looks when he leans down and hug her.

So that means his mother didn’t even hug him after his brother’s death!? SHE DIDN’T EVEN GIVE HIM A LITTLE AFFECTION!?
