Hello, my loves! 

I think it’s about time that I let Jongin go, as much as I do love him and his obsession with the lake. :’) I’ve just been very busy with uni work, and my muse for Jongin has been lower than usual as well. I want other people to be able to roleplay him, as I know he’s a very popular faceclaim, but maybe I’ll be able to bring him back sometime, perhaps after my exams. He’s been around for a good couple of years as well, so I’m proud of that. :> 

Of course, I’ll still be on hq as always, and I do have Sojin and maybe another character, so it’s not like I’m going anywhere! Anyways, thank you all for roleplaying with one of my favourite babies! ♥

peter stopped singing.

no way! did he hear that right? what would the world do without plant jongin? my son! he cried dramatically (in his head, of course). “uh, sure.” the syllables parted from his lips through a sort of half smile, half frown. then he coughed and shoved his hands into the pockets of his coat and stopped circling around to finally face jongin, skating backwards.

girls. what was there to talk about girls? “what about them?” they were dangerous, obviously. he was glad he wasn’t in love with any one of them, and moreover that he wasn’t happy with the world. people in love lose perspective. they get nervous and boring.

Admittedly, Jongin hadn’t quite thought through the conversation topic beforehand. Even just thinking about them made him a little hot under the collar, especially after last week’s experience with someone’s discarded Playwitch magazine which had left Jongin in a certain situation that he wasn’t all too used to dealing with before.

It was almost embarrassing, but he didn’t dare back down, heel of his skates tapping against the ice. “What do you...-- Is it normal to...--” Ah, where was he going with this?! It wasn’t like Kim Jongin to stutter or trail off mid-way through a sentence or question. Except Jongin didn’t really feel like Kim Jongin anymore. He only felt weird.

“I think... I think that I like them.”

five days before christmas and the weather came to be so cold that for the first time a thick layer of ice had formed atop the lake (hopefully the giant squid was doing okay). it was thus that peter leaped at the opportunity to smack some skates on jongin and himself and pull him head first onto the ice, where many other students had already congregated. he skated circles around jongin and sung 'christmas (baby please come home)' much too loud for comfort while occasionally patting jongin's ass.

When Peter had asked Jongin if they could visit the lake, the Ravenclaw lad had jumped at the chance. The lake always made Jongin feel at ease, with the soft waves and gently splashing against the shallow shores. Alas… it had slipped Jongin’s mind that the once beautiful lake had frozen over, and now dozens of students were using it as their own personal skating rink. Peter had already dragged him too far for the boy to be able to go back now, so Jongin carefully made his way onto the ice (he wasn’t all too stable on his skates), and then there he stood, head turning to try follow the singing Gryffindor that was circling him, the pats to his behind not going unnoticed. “Peter… I was wondering whether we could talk about something… About girls, to clarify.”

( the heavy sigh that nearly empties her lungs from air is another sign of ennui. after so many years of always reading the same words ‘we are okay, everything is okay…’ it was almost unnecessary to even make the effort of retrieving the letters every week from the owlery. she leans her head further back when she feels a tap, recognizing the voice before the upside-down image she sees. ) jongin, what a pleasant surprise! i need you to dampen the inevitable headache i’ll get from these letters. and by dampen i mean completely distract me, because this is completely hopeless. ( she quickly patted the space beside her on the couch. )

{--* Jongin can feel the female’s sigh ripple through his bones, and only half a second later does his hand come into contact with her being, pushing courtesy aside with a tap of his finger, demanding Haeryung’s attention. The way that she meets his gaze is not how he expects, but his eyes are on hers, focused} Oh...? Do you want me to get you some Muggle painkillers? They work really well -- it’s almost like magic. {--* he gives a convincing nod, silently accepting the invitation as he seats himself next to her, gaze then slowly travelling lower to the letters} From your parents again?

Harsh winds blow across the Scottish landscape. The stars are out again, but Jongin is seated in the Great Hall, attention caught by a group of Slytherins who were cracking up with laughter, filling the large space with echo-y cackles. On particular student, however, always seemed to stand out from the rest. She had this... twinkle in her eye. One that Jongin couldn’t decipher. 

And then he was off, feet carrying him away from the Ravenclaw tables and towards this girl. Only time could tell whether this would be a wise idea or not.

                                                                         “I heard it was your birthday, is that correct?”

After all, they say that curiosity killed the cat.
