Story Updates: His fiance has tragically died so he has studied their field in an effort to better love and understand them now they’re gone. He is now a professor of anthropology and has started to research and apply that knowledge to kindred.
My handsome VTM OC come to life! I finally got around to making my speedpaint of him. I posted his portrait a few months ago.

I’ve got the current Tucson, AZ, Camarilla Sheriff who’s always one prince away from running back to the anarch’s and becoming Aurtarkis again.
Raxtus is a abyss mystic who is always quick with a quip to turn the conversation the way he wants but the Lasombra does his best to be sincere with his gift of gab. He does his best not to lie, which is often a good policy as his curiosity gets him into trouble and finding things and people who were not meant to be found. And being a Lasombra in the cam pre v5 he’s had to earn his place and trust of others as sheriff. It didnt help that he was ex sabbat(that was 200 years ago).
His need for power comes from the people he aims to protect. If it was just himself he wouldn’t have shackled himself to an organization. But his fiance is the most important factor in his life and he would die again before losing them so he worked his way to his current position.
Fun facts:
• He speaks with a posh english accent
• Raxtus transitioned 3 years ago, he was Raine(bless my chronicle group they suggested it when I came out)
• He and his fiance have an arrangement and so he can be quite flirty but one of the biggest things he emphasizes is consent so he will back off if someone is uncomfortable.
• His blueish grey eye is actually a lasombra artifact that allows him to walk the abyss easier.

And after 17 hours on the canvas his magnum opus is finally complete! I am so proud of this piece and getting it done before the chronicle prepares to wrap up.

[This is our current Talking Head Prince Bracken. Hes the one Raxtus has the most strained relationship with considering he tried to basically oust him from the Camarilla when he took power. It’s been settled and thats how he got Sheriff but its been a rough patch.
This one was also a little more experimental. I tried for semi realism but its not my strong suit especially with beards ;-;. But I think he turned out alright considering. Genuinely though I should probably go back to cell shading I think. Soft shading and texture seem just to make things muddy and it makes me sad.]
Raxtus on Bracken:
I will do my job as the Sheriff and protect him. Despite his misgivings of me I think after 4 years we have at least come to know that if push comes to shove both of us will survive what ever dangerous we get shoved into so we make a great exploration and scouting team.
Though I trust him as much as he trusts me. As I said, I will do my job. I will protect my city. Bernadette is still here she still has a decent amount of power so I will not be leaving. Not so long as I and Theo are still welcome.
I will say he and I have a lot of delightful conversations on how to turn him into avatar Croc. He’s been Air Croc turned from bird form to croc form and landed on several Banu Haquim assassins, Bracken lives in a lake so water croc, he can earth meld so earth croc, and I offered him the fire ritual the Sabbat use to make him fire croc but the Malkavian primogen said that probably wasn’t a good idea considering the standing of our Camarilla already.
[This is Hans who once got impersonated by a fellow named Milo. He’s a CSI agent. While drawing this I had a heart attack because for a hot moment he looked like Kira from Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure. I immediately added more fringe because Hans, hands, impersonation, crime scene maker and investigator. Horrifying parallels /j
I think I have exactly 2 more regulars after this portrait of our vtm group. After 4 years I’ll have drawn everyone!]
Raxtus on Hans:
Hans is one of the most reliable if not infuriating members of this city. Only because he is one of the only people to have ever bested me at my own game. And now holds a vampiric artifact I spent a month tracking down and trying to get into its vault. A reminder of my failure and my ire.
But I will do nothing more than be annoying to him about such things. Im patient and can wait for such a moment as to obtain the item via boon. Hans is generally one of the first people I put on my coteries. He’s capable, intelligent and competent, unfortunately his price is also decently high for his services but I will not settle for in accurate information or god forbid missing information when it comes to the mysteries of this city.
I hope one day the mutual respect we have built will turn into a friendship. As much as kindred can have friendship.
[This piece gave me so many problems ;-; but I needed to just get it done. The canvas was hitting 20 hours and I was starting to want to cry. I think I need to learn to simplify. Or just settle on a style 😅. I’ll do better next time.
Theo is our resident bomb monkey and very excitable red button pusher. She literally found a button that should have blown the entire cavern up while completely blind!]
Raxtus on Theo:
Outwardly I will never compliment them but I very much enjoy their antics. Theres nothing quite so provocative or entertaining as a Ravnos whose main skills are dressing in skimpy outfits, bomb making, and stunt driving with a party bus.
She has saved our hides on a few occasions and I keep her friendship bracelet in a nice wooden box on my dresser. Theo is delightful and often comes to my haven to play Mario Kart with my Fiance and I. One of the very few to enjoy such a privilege. Especially since I am too old to ever really win this game but it makes them happy so I am happy.
I think if I were to ever leave Tucson, I would have to take her with me. Not only is she an invaluable source of entertainment, I fear shes grown on me and shown she is in-fact competent. Therefore I will protect her from this horrible institution for as long as I can.
Love WoD lore because last night my friends and I were chatting about stuff and we ended up with the questions of "are dragons real?" and "are dinosaurs real?" And just started throwing shit around like "dragons were dinosaurs" and "dinosaurs were mages" and "they live in the hollow earth" and ALL OF THOSE WERE RIGHT IN ONE WAY OR ANOTHER
