Not sure where some people are getting the idea that Juvia was “emotionally manipulating” Gray when she told the truth regarding Silver’s death. To have the full intention of manipulating someone is to be able to control another person’s feelings and use methods that can distort the other person’s perception of reality which Juvia did not do during that scene.

In the dubbed version she told Gray that she “lost the right to love him”

Which indicated that Juvia was very self aware and understood in that moment that if Gray were to tell her that he hated her for everything she would have probably left him alone; which shows a evolution on the love she has grown to show for Gray. She never dismissed Gray or the way he was feeling but rather so opened up to him as well which in turn we got Gray thanking Juvia for basically saving Silver and the two sharing a hug

Well, Tartarous has changed that perception by letting us see how Gray views Juvia back when facing his father, Silver. Getting to see Gray thinking back to all of his friends and then the last memory being of Juvia saying that she loves Gray (with the white background and her practically glowing in this shot) is a clever way for Hiro Mashima to let people know that his feelings for Juvia are definitely growing
