TL;DR: I’m moving to Twitter (@Rayliicious) and dont plan on using Tumblr to post artwork anymore. I will not delete this blog and this isn’t being decided based on recent events (the tumblr blog deletion hoax), this has been in consideration for months now.  For those who are interested why, I’ve stated below.

After recently making a Twitter (despite being adamant about never making one lmao), I have become decreasingly active on this site, minus my main blog.  My activity went down greatly over the last year and after I reopened my Patreon, it dropped to almost nonexistent.  I honestly don’t care to post to Tumblr anymore, it just isn’t a good site for posting artwork.  Getting more than 10 notes (most of which are likes) on a post feels impossible, and it can be very underwhelming.

I enjoy getting feedback on my work and I like interacting with new people through my work, and it just seems Tumblr isn’t the place to do that, especially if it isn’t getting reblogged and shared like I hoped it would.  Yes, some of my posts get noticed and get a handful of notes.  But again, most of them are likes, which do literally nothing for Tumblr artists.  I’m trying to get my work out there so gathering a following and making a living off my art becomes easier so I don’t have to rely on my parents money to get me through the week ;;

i dont draw enough Dakota.  Working on a comic and i really liked the detail shot of Dakota I drew and wanted to do more with it. Added some contextual dialogue for good measure :y This is based off an AU I’m working on called Cop Turning Criminal.

So ive been on a Ray binge lately and wanted to try and record more of my “sketch” process so i made a lot of layers as i slowly progressed in the image and im glad i did because im sure others like seeing my sketch process as much as i do :y Tried to make an “anime esque” screenshot at the bottom, not sure if it looks well with the sketchy style i went with tho.
