[Hello, all. I'm not exactly sure how to word this, but following Ramis's passing, I really don't feel comfortable playing Ray on a public forum like Tumblr anymore. I'll be leaving this blog up as an archive, and someday I may return to it, but for now it just doesn't seem appropriate. I'm more than happy to RP Ray on Skype (lady.pyro), and you can RP with me as Plastic Man, Earthworm Jim, and Waldo on my other accounts. Fifty Spooks by State

Phew! That was a killer amount of work. This was my final for my Language and Letterforms class. It involved a copious amount of looking up ghosts, copious amounts of drawing, and copious amounts of digital layout. The original is 85 inches long, but tumblr would really rather I didn’t try to upload a file that big.

I’m extremely pleased with the final result. In the future I’d like to make these into some books or make some sort of game out of them. All in all, I’m just stoked about them. If you have any questions about the ghosts or the project, feel free to ask!!

"Hmm? Oh, it’s natural. Most people I meet think it’s dyed."

"Natural?" Ray scratched his head, patting his pocket with his other hand, wondering if now was a good time to take out the PKE meter. "I wasn’t aware green was a natural hair color."

"Probably not where you come from. My people can have vibrant natural hair colors." She flipped some of her green hair over her shoulder with a smile. "I’m Viraveth. Technically, I’m a human, but my people are called Selkies."

Ray listened to her explanation carefully, genuinely intrigued.”I was under the impression Selkies were seals who would shed their skin and take on a human form.” He paused for a minute, running the question over in his mind. “…you’re not a seal, are you?”

The woman laughed softly at his suggestion. “No, of course not. I believe the selkies you’re talking about are mythological. Where I come from there are four races of people: Clavats, Selkies, Lilties, and Yukes. Clavats and Selkies are the most human-like, with Clavats being more plain and homely while Selkies are a little more vibrant and adventurous. We also have a strong affiliation with water, something us and the seals have in common. Lilties are kind of like plant people and Yukes are pretty much walking armor.”

"Hmm.." He tapped a finger to his bottom lip. "I haven't heard of any of these races. And all these creatures are sentient and capable intelligent conversation as you are?"
