Iâm half expecting that Impidimp to steal the camera at the end of this
oh hi phantump, wait what was that cry!
phantump just went across the screen
Some sort of cry if anyone can identify it
Would anyone be interested if I re-vamped and made my bee pattern available again?Â
The original pattern had quite a few issues and many people complained they couldnât finish it or were unable to understand it. It was taking so much time to individually walk people through each step that I chose to simply remove it.
Part of the issue was the pattern itself, I was still quite new so thereâs a lot Iâd do differently to clarify the instructions and simplify the process. But part of it was also that itâs a very difficult pattern with a lot of pieces.Â
Iâve been debating about giving it a do-over, but want to make sure this is something you guys actually want to see.
Yes! I would love this.
One of these is not like the others
Ne, Ne, by čż˝ĺˇăă
This makes me weepy every time I see it. MONSTER DUDE LOVES HER SO MUCH!!
Fuck! I have been searching the world over for this again! I am saving it so I never lose it again.

Hello!! This may be a weird question but I too am heavily interested in birds but unlike you, I cannot draw them as well. :,^( If it's not too much work (if it is just ignore this, i don't mind), do you know of any good references or sources to learn more about birds from facts to anatomy? I know this is a pretty wide range so again, I totally understand if you can't! I just thought it was worth an ask. Thank you so much!!
i donât really have any specific reference places but hereâs some things i do.Â
drawing birds is arguably one of the hardest animals because of their feathers. unlike fat and fur that folds to the body in a way thatâs usually readable to whats underneath, feathers sort of create a âbubbleâ around the body which makes a lot of body parts indistinguishable to where one ends and another begins. so its important to always think in terms of skeletal anatomy:
birds are dinosaurs and therefore reptiles. looking at birds this way, itâs a lot easier to see their evolution.
with that in mind, say we wanna draw this dude. owls are pretty tough because their outward appearances are so deceiving.
weâve got a neutral pose, feathers are generously surrounding most of the body so its no sweat, we donât really know whats going on. but we can hide it. but now we want to make him move and look cool. without really knowing whats going on we might get stuck on something like this:
its always kind of stiff and frustratingly unrealistic. mostly this is because we just donât have enough knowledge of the skeletal structure to work with. eyeballing anatomy on our first drawing might get something like the left, more than anything people arenât generous enough with leginess of birds:
owls do indeed have regular proportioned necks with the rest of their bodies. and their skulls are like that of any other stereotypical raptor under their mask of feathers (minus their freaky eye sockets and ears)) they can open their mouths wide just like a hawk or eagle can. itâs important to remember that birds with large wingspans do not magically lose their length when hidden. they are just conveniently folded in against their bodies.
knowing this we can try again. suddenly things seem to click in place more and have a believable-ness to them.
the rule of thumb for most birds is they have less body mass and more leg/neck than one thinks. they are lanky dinosaurs.
when we are looking at this:
we are seeing this:
with that rule, drawing birds becomes a lot less confusing. with practice you might just eyeball their feathered appearances but if not, going back to skeletal/muscle structure gives the base you need to draw convincing birds.
when it comes to specific body parts, the most challenging part for me personally have always been feet. birds with super twiggy feet are easier because one line per toe is easy to get away with. but when you get to birds with meatier feet, especially raptors, it gets difficult. my way of getting around this is to think of the actual âfeetâ last. drawing each separate toe first gets confusing because you just find yourself trying to get them to each fit evenly together at the base of the foot. one always seems kind of skinnier or fatter than the others in my experiences, and by the time you correct it the gesture gets muddled and lost.
so i just skip that part until later, i draw talon first.
perhaps this is very unorthodox, but just like artists might square in the hands first on a human before working out the arms, i square in the talons to know where i want them before worrying how they go on exactly.
that way we have a clear gesture captured, and in my experience it is much more readable.
thatsâ really all i can think of now in terms of my techniques, i hope this helps :V
So far with the nickname method I have had 2 success and one fail (all three were Sparky.)
*Note I did not log out on the fail attempt though I did close the app then re-start so that might have caused it.*
Well I tested the Eevee nickname rumor to get a Jolteon.
Surprisingly it worked, I will try this again to get another Flareon (I want to nickname it King Dodongo) and to see if it works or if I was just lucky.
(Iâm naming Eeveeloutions after Loz bosses so far I have Morpheel, and Gyorg (Vaporeons), Fyrus (Flareon), and Barinade (I re-named the Jolteon after evolution.
Does anyone know of any other Loz bosses that attack using electricity as I have a couple water, and multiple fire left but I cannot think of any other electric bosses?
Things that would make Pokemon go players safer and healthier
So most of these ideas are more theoretical than anything because Iâm not sure how coding works ⢠using the time thatâs set on your phone, after 11 or 12 pm, the app will give you a notification to go to sleep and wonât allow you to play until sometime during the morning. This makes sure kids (especially young ones) donât stay up until 1 am ⢠Using google maps, if it detects that youâre on a road, the app will do the same as above. It will turn back on once you get off the road. This will prevent walking into traffic and crashing cars while using the app. ⢠you add your friends usernames into a friend request box. Once they click accept, only they (and your other friends on your list) can see your lures on pokestops and use said lures. This will stop the armed robberies at lured pokestops. â˘if youâve had the app open for half an hour, the game will have a pop up that you can close reminding you to self care. If youâve been playing nonstop for an hour and you arenât in an area with houses, it will give you a pop up telling you that you should go home.
Feel free to reblog and add more
1. Only if itâs on a toggle (with a warning if you turn it off) as many adults would still like to play such as if I wake up I might want to play Pokemon GO in the safety of my room until I get tired again, or just to snap one picture.
2. depending on how this works Iâd prefer it on a toggle as otherwise it could prevent people from collecting while on public transportation or the passenger seat on the car.Â
(Note that I didnât say driving as you shouldnât play and drive.)
3. no however there should be warnings about not going into isolated areas. Sorry but I donât want to lose the social aspect of lures. (I love going into a safe area and talking with all the other trainers there.)Â
(This is the only one I 100% donât support even as a toggle)
4. Would rather this as an hour or non-intrusive banner instead as otherwise it would be the same as an ad. (Also should include information about not going alone or into isolated areas.)
I would however like all of these if they were on a (password protected) parental control so they can all be toggled for both children and adults without forcing users who already play safely to lose out on these feature.Â
(Though the third one can be removed completely and replaced with warnings as that one can actually damage a playerâs experience)
How it would work is that someone (parent or the player) would set up a control with which of these features they want checked for yes or empty for know (for example someone who wants everything but the fourth one would check 1-3 but not four) and then put in a password (though the password could be optional) Â to prevent the kid from changing the settings.Â
*Also with the toggle, the people using password protection should not be able to use the lures of people not on their friends list, as the robbery was a lure used to get people into an isolated area.*
The fourth one can be put in without a toggle though as long as itâs non-intrusive and goes away when in gyms or catching pokemon.Â
More ideas.
1. a chat limited to friends that helps to set up excursions so as to be in a group.
2. a warning on any pokestop or Gym that is in a dark alley/dead end/any other isolated area. (Mainly a message at the end of the footnote that reads isolated, or risk in bright red letters)
They could also be a different color to indicate this.
3. more loading screens each with new advice and artwork demonstrating the message such as âdonât trespass,â âobey the laws,â âgo in groups,â and âbe respectful of others.â (This one would be super beneficial as not only would more helpful advice be given, but it would provide new artwork and loading screens so that you donât just get sick of one or two. )
4. A special lure animation for lures placed on isolated pokestops to go with the changed color and other warnings.Â
My Art Got Stolen, Now What?: A Guide For Artists
Aka âThat little f*cker stole my art and I am not okay with it.â
The follow up to my Guide For Reporting Stolen Artwork and Get Consent, Kids
If you havenât heard by now, Iâm just someone who hates stolen artwork and those who do the thieving, literally has run out of fucks to give, and knows a thing or two about copyright law and will fight you on this.
NOTE: THIS ALSO WILL CONTAIN A FEW HELPFUL TIPS FOR ARTISTS WHO GIVE PERMISSION TO DUB!
In the weeks Iâve been reporting stolen artwork to artists, itâs really broken my heart to realize just how many of them didnât know what rights they have when it comes to their artwork simply because itâs fanart. LikeâŚnoooâŚ
If you are an artistâbe it of traditional/digital pictures, videos/photos, words (prose/poetry), music, or a voice actorâyou have rights to your work.
For the sake of conciseness, I will only be referencing traditional/digital art throughout this post.
No one can use your artwork without your permission. Even fanart cannot be used by the company/creators of the show WITHOUT YOUR EXPLICIT CONSENT. Otherwise, itâs theft. YOU OWN THE ART. YOU MAY NOT OWN THE CHARACTERS BUT THAT PICTURE IS YOURS. YOU DECIDE WHERE IT GOES, WHO CAN USE IT, HOW, AND WHEN.
Note: selling fanart is a different monster altogether and thatâs not what this is about. Iâm not even gonna go there.
Wellp. This is my art and I sure didnât put it here.
You have three options:
Do nothing
Talk to them - ask them to get permission next time, make them credit you
Flag â DMCA TIME. Donât know what this is? I gotchu fam.
DMCA stands for Digital Media Copyright Act. Also known as a copyright claim. In short, if youâve ever used something that was copyrighted and got told to take it down by the website or had it removed by the website, then youâve been slapped by a DMCA report. Those are legal actions and should be respected and obeyed.
If youâve ever flagged a video for having your content, reported stolen artwork on tumblr or anything else, odds are you were filing a DMCA takedown.
Personally, I would always recommend DMCA. If you wanna go route 2 thatâs fine, I wonât judge you. From my point of view, however, that person didnât have the fucking courtesy to even ASK YOU. Why should they be allowed to reap the benefits of your hard work?Â
WellâŚthey might not have knownâŚtheyâre just kidsâŚ
I stole a doll from a thrift store when I was 3 and my mama sent me right back inside, crying, to apologize, and give it back. From then on, I knew that taking things from the store was wrong. Youâre never too young to learn right from wrong.
A DMCA might be just the thing to teach that whippersnapper not to steal artowrk. Especially if theyâre already refusing to cooperate.
I donât want to start troubleâŚ
They stole from you. They started it.
Ok butâŚDMCA reports want my full name and address!
Yeah, probably. But this is a legal actionâŚso why are you surprised?
Many people on the internet want a degree of anonymity, I understand that. The internet is a dangerous place. But DMCA take downs are legal actions. Companies need to do everything they can to ensure honesty. If thereâs a dispute, they might need to contact you for further info. If things end up getting heated, someone needs to be able step up and own up to the claimsâthough Iâve never heard of it getting this far for stolen artwork on youtube. Otherwise, people would flag videos left and right just because they donât like them. I mean, they already try, but DMCA is much more serious and theyâre forms are intimidating enough to scare off the filthy casuals.
DMCA is one of the only weapons you have to defend your rights. Take it or leave it.
Iâm not a US citizen⌠(or the thief isnât)
Thatâs okay! Most websites where your stuff could be reposted ARE based in the USA and, therefore, are under the jurisdiction of USA copyright laws.
HOW DO I FILE A COPYRIGHT CLAIM???
Youtube
Tumblr
Deviantart
Pintrest
For any other websites, just google the website name plus DMCA.
IF YOU ARE A DUBBER, LIKE ME, AND ONE OF YOUR DUBS GOT STOLEN, WORK WITH THE ARTIST AND THE VOICE ACTORS TO REPORT IT. ALL OF YOU CAN FILE A COPYRIGHT CLAIM ON IT. You as the editor, the artist obviously, and the voice actors since they âappear in the video without their consentâ ;) youâre welcome.
If someone reposts a song cover or an amv you made, you can DMCA those as well even though you donât hold copyright to the original material. You made the video. You have some rights to it still. âŚBut if the original content owners say something to you, shut up and listen your ass might end up in court.
Tips for Artists Who Get Dubbed
Rule 1 in my field: ALWAYS COVER YOUR ASS!
âŚkay wait. I think âwrap your cables properlyâ is rule one. Rule 2 then. But itâs a good rule and it applies everywhere.
If someone comes to you asking to dub your work, this is what you should do:
State your answer clearly. If itâs a no, you donât have to explain why but it might be a good idea.
State how to credit you, provide links if you want
State that they cannot monetize it. This is important.
State any place where the artwork may not be posted
Ask for links to the finished product, maybe even the username they plan on posting under.
Finally, TAKE SCREENSHOTS OF THE CONVO AND SAVE THEM. This way you can know who you gave permission to and who you did not, as well as if they violated the terms of your agreement.
By giving them consent, you are basically entering a contract together. Screenshots are your evidence of the contract just in case the original is lost. Failure to comply with your terms is a breach of this contract and you can take action against them.
In summary: YOU HAVE RIGHTS. People can be little shitheads who steal and you have the power to kick their ass legally. The law is on your side. Also, COVER YOUR ASS.
reblogging for future reference.Â

ALRIGHT EVERYONE I FIGURED OUT HOW TO DO FUCKIN INVOICES SO HERE YOU GO HEREâS THE TUTORIAL
invoices are an easier / safer way to request money from commissioners. all the commissioner has to do is accept to pay the money, so you donât have to worry about them clicking or typing anything that will get you in trouble with paypal.
STEP 1
under Invoice Information you can choose what date your invoice needs to be paid by. if you donât have a specified date for your commissioner then make sure to select No Due Date so they donât get into any trouble for not paying by the default date.
STEP 2
go through your Business Information to make sure itâs only showing what you want it to show. your default template may show your address, phone number, name, etc, but everything is optional and can be turned off. personally i only keep my e-mail visible so commissioners know where the invoice is coming from.
STEP 3
your commissionerâs e-mail goes here
STEP 4
fill out what your commissioner is paying for and how much it costs. double check the Total towards the bottom to make sure youâve filled out everything correctly. keep item names vague like âcommissionâ or âimageâ since paypal may freeze your account if they catch any buzzwords they donât like.
STEP 5
here you can fill out any terms and conditions your commissioner should know about, ie when you accept payment, if you give refunds, etc.
STEP 6
in the Memo box you can write a note for yourself to see when you look at the invoice. you can write down who commissioned you and anything else youâll need to remind yourself of later
TEMPLATE
remember that you can replace the default template so you can save your business info, terms and conditions, etc for the next time you fill out an invoice.
IF PAYPAL IS ASKING YOU TO âSHIPâ YOUR DIGITAL COMMISSION
look under Selling Tools on your home page and click Seller Preferences
click Update next to Shipping Preferences
go to Display Ship Button at the bottom and make sure Goods is un-checked
reblogging this again because iâve been seeing that post about paypal charging thousands of dollars over policy violations floating around
idk what policy violations those apply to, but just in case, i want to direct everyone to invoices, which is a much less risky method of requesting money than relying on the customer to pay themselves!!Â
Drawing humans [5/?]: Hands
@quadpen @espeon132
Ah yes, hands are notoriously difficult to draw. Iâll do what I can to help!
First off, below is a diagram of how I usually invision the shapes that make up the hand. Proportion-wise, the longest finger is usually just a little bit shorter than the palm (though this can vary from person to person).
Hereâs the hand again, in a different position. Sometimes I find it helpful to think of the segments of the finger as box-like shapes, rather than cylinders.
Hereâs a breakdown of my usual process while drawing hands:
Honestly, while I know itâs not the answer anyone wants to hear, the things that will help more than anything else are lots of practice and using references. On the plus side, the good thing about hands is that references are easy to find! Besides looking at your own hands for reference (which I definitely recommend), you can also look up images online. The website Pixlovely even has a drawing practice tool specifically for hands.
