          "What, like... the videogame character?"

                    SHE LIKES GAMES, but she can't think that she's ever really played any of the Sonic the Hedgehog games. Her preference is more in the Mortal Kombat or Street Fighter category. "I mean, I guess. Wouldn't know how to spot him in a crowd. Why?"

Is Senketsu annoying sometimes

          "Well, YEAH."

                    The statement is accompanied by a chuckle. Before the kamui can get a chance to start getting huffy, however, she scratches at the back of her head and continues, "If you're stuck listening to anyone day in, day out, it'll get old... and besides that, he never minds his business, he's always monitoring my weight without my permission, and I don't think we ever make it through a day without bickering."

                    Her tone, despite all of the FLAWS she's listing, remains warm -- and a hand comes up to rest beneath Senketsu's eye.

                    WELL, THAT WAS NEW. Ryuko isn't entirely certain what to think -- between the baby talk and the sudden request from out of nowhere, she has half a mind to tell the stranger just to fuck back off to wherever they came from. What makes her hesitate, though, it the distant recognition that she isn't exactly the most popular person these days, and anyone who doesn't treat her like persona non grata should have been appreciated.

                    And so ( with a great bit of reluctance ) Ryuko holds up her hand.

“Well, there are monster fights pretty much every week,” Cure Swan wasn’t sure how that was different from the non-cute variety of magical girl, but she was just trying her best to answer the question presented to her.

“My teammates and I do see merchandise of ourselves in stores but that’s not typical for Precure like me. At least, not for Cures that weren’t created by Blue. The Happiness Charge Precure and similar teams have been in the public eye for as long as I can remember…” Swan smiled awkwardly as she said that fact. “It can get pretty awkward at times, honestly!”

“I assume your experience is nothing like that? Do you even fight monsters on a regular basis?” Cure Swan asked, tilting her head slightly. Honestly, she didn’t want to talk about herself for too long. Time to change the subject!

          Ryuko hadn't fully been expecting any sort of answer, just predicting said CUTE GIRL would laugh it off -- the way most girls seemed to do when complimented needlessly. Instead, she received quite the lesson on the Cures and their reactions to marketing and merchandise.

          ( well, at least no one has started selling figures of you, ryuko ) Senketsu's internal commentary was silenced with a pinch to his skirt, Ryuko's eyes staying fixed on the girl as she spoke. At last, her speech seemed to be winding down, and the elder almost thought the girl looked a little bit SHY as she finished. As though only realising what all she had said.

          -- do you fight monsters? The question immediately brought SATSUKI KIRYUIN and her lackeys to mind, and a notably more annoyed look settled over Ryuko's features as she groaned out, "OH, they're monsters, alright... just because they look human doesn't mean they're any better." It probably wasn't the sort of thing that the lovely Cure was anticipating, but Ryuko couldn't help but think that FIGHTING MONSTERS might be a nice change of pace. "-- but honestly, no. We don't fight monsters."

          "I NEVER CLAIMED to be any kind of hero -- HELL, I've never even claimed to be good."

                    Her blood is racing, RED HOT -- she can feel that synergy that she and Senketsu have, the kind that seems to only grow stronger when Ryuko finds a cause she feels is worth fighting for. "But if there's one thing I can't stand, it's watching someone fight people who can't DEFEND themselves. So how about you take on a REAL challenge?"

          "Mafia, huh?"

                    IT'S HARD TO TELL from her reaction if she's taking him seriously or not. Honestly, given the craziness in her own life, she's not exactly in a position to judge someone based on how unrealistic their story sounds. "Just... bang-bang, and next thing you know, you're willing to fight God?" That was her way of describing what she'd witnessed -- or what she thinks she'd seen. She has to think she'd take getting her blood drawn over getting shot, any day.

          "Geez, never thought I'd hear of a school that made Honnōji look good."

                    SHE'D ALMOST SOUND IMPRESSED, if she wasn't so disturbed by this concept. At this point, she's starting to suspect that there's no such thing as a normal high school anymore -- they all seem too preoccupied on pitting their students against each other in fights to the DEATH. Though, at least Satsuki didn't seem to expect any of her students to actually kill one another.

                    SURE, SHE LOOKS ROUGH, but she's also definitely looked worse. Scraped up from head to toe, at least she isn't pouring blood from anywhere too notable -- this time. That said, she doesn't seem to be in any hurry to try and get herself up off the ground, not fully trusting that her knees won't buckle under her. "Trust me, you should see the other guy."
