BROWN, S
once stephanie carefully removed the last bit of her sleeve, she angrily tossed the torn fabric aside. it was ironic and frustrating that she still managed to cause herself injury in ways entirely unrelated to the apocalypse, but she’d still take a fight with gravity over turning into a goddamned zombie any day of the week. “i’m not bleeding all over your –” stephanie cut herself off with a frown as she assessed the cut on her forearm, a sigh leaving her shortly after. “….okay so maybe i am, but i’m fine. and what exactly does this help entail? because if it has anything to do with touching any of ivy’s plants, i’ve found the ‘watch and look pretty from the sidelines’ approach to be best so she doesn’t murder me in my sleep.”

he doesn’t bother correcting her; she gets there on her own. a forceful hand does grab her by the elbow though, pulling her into his compartment and nudging her in the direction of a chair. he waits for her to be out of eyeshot before dropping to his knees, reaching behind the dresser to pry up one of the floorboards. medical supplies are a hot commodity these days so... yeah, you’re damn right, he hides them. he might like stephanie but that doesn’t mean she gets an all access pass.
“ you are a disaster. ” he agrees as he re-enters the room, a few patches of gauze, a needle with thread, and a paste made from leaves and water in a small container. the leaves have some kind of healing property, plucked from one of the aforementioned at the risk of his own head, but there’s no denying they work. they work damn good. “ so just sit there, shut up, and don’t touch anything. ” he pulls up a second chair, reaching for her arm as he sets to work. he wipes the blood away with a strip of cloth ripped from his shirt, carefully pressing one of the mixture soaked gauze pads against her arm for a few moments before starting to stitch. “ it’s not a painkiller but it’s about as good as anything i’ve got. ” he adds, though not as an apology, as he continues stitching her up. the stitches are tight, practically medical grade, and she can thank his penchant for getting himself into tight spots for his efficiency.
