"Guy" and "man" have different connotations with adjectival nouns. Like "tree guy" = arborist but "tree man" = he lives in a tree, or maybe he is a tree.

I wish that he had decided to play the Doctor with his usual Scottish accent.

Not that his portrayal of the tenth wasn't exceptional, I just would've loved it personally.

He's still one of the best Doctors (Some would argue THE best) since the show made a return in '05.
