Me, barely getting into reading: *reads every book I buy, not understanding how other readers have unread books on their shelves for so long*
Me, now: *buys books I don’t need yet want and still have them on my shelf two years later, telling myself I’ll get to them eventually*
i hope i start my hot person phase soon
“She read books as one would breathe air, to fill up and live.”
— The Living, Annie Dillard (b. 30 April 1945)
Books live at my house. They go from room to room and lounge on various pieces of furniture. They go to work and to the store with us. They sit at the kitchen table. They ride in the car and fly in planes with us. They live with us and pay rent in fantasy.

Finally moved my room upstairs so I could have a dedicated room for my library. Now, I just need more shelves!

Rainbow Books! 🌈
I made a similar list with LGBTQ+ books here in all shades of the pride flag but this time I’ll recommend some that have the rainbow on the covers!
Girl Hearts Girl by Lucy Sutcliffe, Just Juliet by Charlotte Reagan, Summer of Jordi Perez by Amy Spalding, What We Left Behind by Robin Talley
The Brightsiders by Jen Wilde, Dispatches From Lesbian America, Echo After Echo by Amy Rose Capetta, The Paths of Marriage by Mala Kumar
The Obsidian Mirror by K.D. Keenan
Me, looking back at how many books i used to read: I love that bitch, she was going places.

Need an epic summer read? I recommend The Stand. Sure, it may take you the entire summer, but you’ll be finished by flu season. :D
Robin Sloan; Mr. Penumbra’s 24-Hour Bookstore
“Walking the stacks in a library, dragging your fingers across the spines – it’s hard not to feel the presence of sleeping spirits.”
My book comes out tomorrow. 💜 I’ve been waiting and preparing for this moment for so long, yet suddenly it’s here almost too quickly. (I jotted the first spark of an idea, a few lines of the voice, and notes on the characters in late December 2010, and started the draft the next month. I finished drafting in June 2016, revised over the summer, and sold it to HarperCollins that fall, then worked on it for another year with my fabulous editor.) 💙 I don’t know what to do with myself besides flail and feel grateful and…eat breakfast then go visit my grandmother en route to my book tour, so here’s page one of chapter one of my first novel. I hope you enjoy it. Thanks for reading 💜
Congratulations @anicarissi !! Her book it out ❤️
Give her lots of support and love please
