Intro post!

Hello :) You can call me Davey , Dave , or Percy! He/him or they/them prns! I am a minor, nothing weird please and thanks.

This is my very first blog! I plan to post headcanons and rants about Newsies - more specifically Livesies, as the fandom has dubbed it. Although, I might end up posting other things as well!

My fav characters are Davey, Jack, Crutchie and Spot! I also enjoy Race and Les tho :)

Other fandoms I’m in: Percy Jackson, The Magnus Archives, The MCU, MCYT, BSD, Ride The Cyclone, and EPIC!

Cat person Jack and dog person Davey arguing over which pet they should get. Realistically, it will be whichever one they first find on the street.

After finding said animal, they realize they have no where to keep it so they end up just leaving food out for it. Then other strays come to eat the food, so they leave more food out. It eventually turns into an army of stray cats and dogs.

Jack is thrilled with this outcome.

Getting to be in Newsies Jr has done nothing other than make me want to do it again. Trust if there is a production of Newsies in my area for my age range I WILL be auditioning. They cannot escape me.

Jack Kelly is purple. The kind of purple that’s almost blue, but not quite. The kind of purple that’s just on the edge of being too harsh on the eyes. The kind of purple that can also be soft, even calming in a way.

My favorite songs in Newsies are the first one minute, thirty-six seconds of Seize The Day and the first fifty-four seconds of Watch What Happens (Reprise) because Davey.

I’ve seen a total of maybe two Newsies Spider-man aus and both had Jack as Spider-man.

Davey Jacobs is independent in the way that others can rely on him and he isn’t scared to rely on others but he doesn’t always need to

Okay I know people ship Javey and Jackcrutchie (me included trust)

But… has anyone ever thought of Davey and Crutchie? Cause I have. I feel like they’d be cute idk, and maybe not like completely romantic but sorta queerplatonic?

I’ve never seen anyone else ship them I need to know if it exists

First headcanon post let’s go

Davey, having been to school, speaks in a more ‘proper’ way than most of the other newsies. And his accent is. Less? Softer, if that makes sense? He’s still got it, but it’s not as noticeable as the others’.

But after a while of being around the newsies, his accent slips out more(??) and he uses more slang and stuff. Jack takes notice and totally makes fun of him for it (affectionately) trust.

Not only the accent- he loosens up more. I feel like he was a bit uptight when him and Les first showed up, then the strike started and he quickly became an actual part of the group rather than just being the new kid.
