klaudia couldn’t stand it when juliet got like this, all hyped up and over-excited about creepy coincidences. it was as if everything fulled her and klaudia was doing her best to deflect it all, including trying to swat her hands away from her fries. “what i would give for you to learn personal space… and to just eat your own food.” she grumbled, shoving a handful of fries into her own mouth just so she’d have a moment to think. she was an expert in skepticism, but it wasn’t like it was hard to say ‘sometimes the forest just be like that’ with a mouthful of food. sure, some elaborately arranged literal stick figures were spooky, but she wasn’t convinced of anything. “i’m not rushing back over there. either it’s nature being weird, or someone’s really creative and you’re eating it up like a dumbass. and you’re gonna get winded if you eat that thing that fast, so don’t even think about it.”
“and what i would give for you to just let me into your icy cold heart.” she simpered, giving klaudia overly exaggerated puppy dog eyes. the other girl had a point, and juliet knew that she constantly needed to take it down a couple of notches — not that she ever actually did it. still, she wasn’t trying to piss klaudia off, and resolved to not take any more fries for at least the next few minutes. there were bigger problems at hand, anyway. “klaud, you’re such a skeptic. imagine if it is aliens, or bigfoot, or something supernatural. wouldn’t that be life changing?” she gushed, a childlike excitement in her eyes. juliet refused to fully acknowledge it, but she’d be permanently stuck in the clouds if it wasn’t for klaudia dragging her back to reality.
