the emotion i just experienced is kind of indescribable
the funniest part of this post to me is that the reblog:like ratio is nearly 1:1. nobody’s just liking everyone who sees this video goes yeah i gotta inflict it on as many people as possible
Mine was buried even deeper, under Devices -> Typing -> How AI has helped you.
(Spoiler: it hadn't helped me. But it was on by default.)
Friends. It’s spellcheck. The same stuff you have on your phone that learns what you are more likely to type and predict things.
Obviously feel free to turn it off, but this is one of the oldest AI methods that we’ve been using for years, much much before LLMs and generative “art” AI.
No data is leaving your laptop, it’s a local model.
Always be wary of AI models! But don’t look and see “AI” and freak out (again, so much AI techniques that are good and useful and have been used for a long time)
Instead ask yourself:
How was the model trained?
Who owns the data used to train it?
Who should own the data used?
Who benefits from using this model?
Who profits from using this model?
Where does the data of your usage go?
This is Tie, she is going to eat all of the notes

man i love math even tho most of the time it makes me feel like i know nothing
yes me thinking about the problem for 10 minutes then not thinking about math at all for 10 hours is part of the process. trust
It'll all be okay. You'll be okay. You just have to do more math. Do more math and everything will turn out alright. You'll see. You'll be alright. Chin up. There's math to do. You'll be fine.
Know that you can be a mathematician if you want to be. Yes you. Yes right now. Not someday. Now. Being a mathematician doesn't mean being a professor or being a researcher or having a specific degree. It means doing math and loving it. I love you high school mathematicians. I love you undergrad mathematicians. I love you dropout mathematicians. I love you unemployed mathematicians. I love you mathematicians working in other fields. I love you mathematicians. If you want to be a mathematician, you are a mathematician. If you are a mathematician, don't ever let anyone else tell you otherwise.

my immersion blender: “hold on let me find the character” *proceeds to do lip trills*
