i watched and read the perks of being a wallflower this week and all i could think about was how much i relate to charlie. it kind of made me sad. i have a shy and observant personality and i feel like it's lead to me being a bystander in my life and accepting whatever amount of love i can get. i do think reading the book was good for me though because i also have repressed memories due to trauma and i'm still learning how to cope and live with it while navigating through my teenage years. i want to grow and heal and accept myself for who i am with the people i love.
