From Here To There by Rebecca Via Flickr: Around the bend ...and there it was the mountains the valley and the sunsetting behind it all...hard to capture at times hubby drives and I shoot while we travel....through bug caked windshield and bumpy roads ....
Night Begins by Rebecca Via Flickr: Clouds and night were rolling in ....the valley purples and blues were beginning to appear...soft coolness of night was felt all around... ....Peace of color and feelings.....
Valley Where The Sun Plays by Rebecca Via Flickr: On return trip a few weeks back ....we are coming through the pass and husband says" Can you capture how the sun is playing on the top of the mountain?".....I can try ....two clicks later...and little click of contrast in Picasa3...what do you think ?....can you see the sun playing ?
Petticoat Auroras on Flickr.
The auroras are giving their all before I daylight returns ....the many sunflares have added to the brightness and powerful movement of the auroras of late....the small white dot along the edge is remains of firework a neighbor fired off just as the photo was taken.......
Sparkle of another world on Flickr.
macro use of my 70/300mm....trying to capture the light that causes the sparkle on the snow during certain sun hours.....looks like another world.....love the bokeh
50 SHADES OF WHITE on Flickr.
WHITE ,WHITE ,WHITE,,,50 SHADES OF WHITE AT LEAST 50......AS i SAT WAITING FOR HUSBAND AT VA HOSPITAL.....I COULD SEE THE AWESOME DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE MANY TONES OF WHITE,,,,,
Yellow was the Color on Flickr.
Needed some color today......we have gotten our snow that was missing all winter and it is still coming down......so I gathered all the colors and decided this was the one I needed....maybe the sun will return today
HummingAurora on Flickr.
The fast moving lights ....I am not focused enough to stop and make to many adjustments....just trying to capture the lights and not telephone wires, poles and full moon .....this one reminded me of a hummingbird in flight......
This is MY BEST SIDE on Flickr.
This one was wanting to cross road to be with rest of herd but our truck was in the middle.....grabbed a few shots and moved on ....my plan for the day was just to grab shots not bother animals......
There is Light and Then There is LIGHT on Flickr.
So many times I have read the next day that someone was rude while out aurora chasing.....Other then blinding me ...I do not find it rude.....I feel like if you can not deal with headlights or flashlights then you go some where else..... the above shot was taken at top of Ester Dome in Fairbanks Alaska.....the bright snow in foreground was caused by headlights but it was okay.... this is straight off disks....
heaven unfurl in shades of green on Flickr.
Of late the skies here have been clouds clouds and more clouds...today they are emptying snow on our grounds....the temps are in the minus range again and it looks like magic out side..... so after cleaning up kitchen and gather clothes to wash ..i decided to play with old files ....
By The Light Of the Moon on Flickr.
We were so excited to chase the auroras that night ….little did we know it would spoil us forever ….. on how we viewed auroras afterwards…what with a full moon and the brightness of the snow and the extreme brightness and colors of the aurora ….what an awesome time……. often wonder what our elders thought when and if they saw the auroras ….
Dream A Little Green on Flickr.
Still working on infinity focus....just when I think i have it something goes wrong.... But I love this effect that the fisheye gives ...like looking into a dream ...the auroras are out there but i have been on a human worry thing and camera and captures are not in the mix.....I love the softness of the bare trees as if one is walking through a dream into the future…. that has been the state of our family of late…..no one is sleeping through the night ….we are all carrying crazy hours of work and thought….beginning to understand the cabin fever that everyone tries not to mention or talk out loud about……..hoping tonight will bring on the desire to gather more light photos and try out new remote……
Chasing the Morn on Flickr.
we have passed the darkness to the return of light ...just a few seconds here a few seconds there...... it was fun to put my 70/300mm back on and try to capture photos as the person riding in the auto ..... we had to turn around just a mile up the road the black ice was more than we needed .....but it sure was a pretty day ....
Night Light At Home on Flickr.
Missed the main show ....but managed to capture a few shot of band aurora over the garage......the bright moon lights up everything ...did not even need a flashlight to make adjustments to camera....
All About the Flair on Flickr.
Sometimes one just has to address the time...I had missed the big part of the display but managed to catch a few of the last burst of energy ....
