“I try to wear the team colors for the games and if the shade of my dress is a little off, they tease me about it. They are lucky to have padding on because I hit them when they say it,” she smiled as she gave a soft nod. “I literally post my dog on social media and that’s about it. Sometimes a selfie, but I’m not that great at them.”

“That sounds like such a blast. Oh for sure, I bet those guys could get the wind knocked out of them without that padding. You seem like one tough gal.” She smiled softly. “Well you are so pretty. I bet you take great selfies, but I always say you gotta look in that mirror and study angles. It’s what I do.” She shrugged.

“It is. But I would never admit that they are like my brothers because they will try to take that in and tease me. But when I went through hard times, they were all right there by my side.” Vienna really was thankful the more she thought about it. Plus not many could put up with her. They deserved a trophy on that themselves. “That’s right. I tell myself that every day to make myself feel better. One of those mantras, you know?”

“Oh the teasing must be the worst. I would hope they have your back, yeah. I mean, that is like the true test of a brother.” She chuckled softly as she nodded her head. “Oh definitely. I would think you earned all the bragging rights, too. My favorite is posting on social media.”

“What kind of woods? Maybe a driftwood to tie in that beach thing?” Her mind was churning for various combinations to match that. “The holidays are coming up…” She stated more so for her sake than the other woman. “How about for that, you add the feeling of homey with maybe an oak mixed with some honey and cinnamon? Possibly nutmeg, too.”

“Oh yes, I really love that driftwood smell.” The other was such a genius by being able to pinpoint what exactly Rebecca was talking about. “See? It would be smart to make those limited edition holiday scents that get people hooked. You’ll sell more with each holiday.” She stated. “That would be perfect. I do know that as much as I love cinnamon, I know some people might not, but if that’s not a concern then you should make it.”

“Sometimes they are, but they really feel like a bunch of brothers. I love them and can’t deal with them at the same time,” a smile formed in thought. “Hopefully. I was a really annoying kid when I was younger because I was two years ahead in school and kids saw me as a know it all, when I really didn’t mean to be. Sometimes, I think it still follows to now.”

“I guess that’s the good thing that came out of it.” Rebecca shrugged, though at the same token, her face was offering a smile. “Screw it because you became pretty successful and others opinions don’t even matter.” The woman shook it off.

Task 4// Letters Color Red

Jasmine was currently in creative limbo. The itch to concoct some new scents for her shop without much ideas on where to start for basics or even perhaps a theme. Nails tapped at her small notebook she always kept handy. Restless. “Hey, tell me some of your favorite smells. Like, in the world. Ever. One you’d like to maybe bring up and smell whenever you can in your own home, for instance.” @chicagcstart​

“Well, that really puts me on the spot. I’m gonna need a minute.” She then thought about her favorite scents and told the other, “I like that wood smell, but also a nice beach smell. I don’t know, maybe something homey if it’s during the holidays like a pie or even a cupcake.” She shrugged.

“Yeah, most of they guys are my age and you know how guys can switch words around to make it a little sexual. A little awkward, but they know me pretty well to know that I never realize what I say until afterwards,” she shook her head as she felt herself get embarrassed all over again. “I think I’m the queen of saying the wrong thing at the wrong time. I don’t know if that’s a blessing or a curse.”

“Oh my gah, you’re definitely dealing with some immature weirdos. I hate when guys do that. It’s like, calm down all that talk you do is actually really gross and not funny.” She shook her head as well. “It’s a blessing because you’re yourself and most likely unfiltered when people need that.”

“On today’s episode of ‘What did Vienna Say” I accidentally said that one of the players pounded the other against the wall. And I didn’t realize it until the player laughed at me and asked if I should think that sentence over. My face turned red and I had to walk away so I can face palm myself,” she sighed as she shook her head. “Please tell me I’m not the only one that said something weird today.” @chicagcstart​

She then blinked after hearing that because she was surprised and amused that she actually got what it might’ve been taken as. “I can see why they would laugh. I was like, oh my gosh, that must have been some game.” She joked around. “Well I don’t think you’re the only one. There’s gotta be someone out there who said something weird today.”

“Yes, you’re the coolest badass I know. Why, thank you,” he smirked and winked at her. It was cool to Mason that Rebecca was up to anything. He didn’t really bring anyone around to meet his biker family, so it was kind of a nice change. He then playfully rolled his eyes at her comment. “Consider yourself lucky to get to hear about me from them. I’m sure they’ve got lots to tell you. There’s only one other girl I brought here and well they all loved her. You’re never gonna drop my boss, huh?”

“That means so much to hear. You don’t need to thank me, Mason. I’m just doing my tattoo artist best friend duties.” She shrugged. In fact, the woman was glad she was getting to share this moment with Mason, even if he was being flirty and it was getting her cheeks red. “If there’s any funny stories I am going to laugh. Well let’s hope they love me, too. I am great with crowds. Not unless you find someone new?”

Mason chuckled at Rebecca’s reaction. He had a feeling she would enjoy the ride more than he thought. “I accept full responsibility. Besides, it suits you.” As she stood beside him, the male started introducing her to everyone around. “You can call it a club or something like that. I grew up with everyone here and they look out for me. They’re like family. A dangerous family,” he laughed. 

“Are you trying to say i’m a badass? I gotta admit, the compliments you give me are always the best.” She then introduced herself to the others as well and then when they were back to talking, she told him, “I’m about to get such a backstory. Do tell me more. I mean, I bet this is stuff even your hot boss doesn’t know about.”

“Who knew motorcycles were so fun?” Rebecca got off one one and went back over to Mason. “If I end up buying one, I think it’s going to be your fault.” She smirked, soon shaking her head as she looked around at the other people who brought their own motorcycles. “So are you like...in a motorcycle club or is this a convention thing?” The woman asked, staying close to the other obviously.

Lyra stepped back and almost did a double take. This woman could be a model, she was that gorgeous. “No, not at all. It’s no worries. You really don’t have to buy me a new pack. I have half a pack right here,” she said, pulling it out her hoody pocket to show her. “Did you want one?” She hesitated briefly before reaching to shake the other’s hand, wondering to herself why it was always in her hermit moments that she met the beautiful ladies. “I’m Lyra,” she said softly, managing a slightly awkward smile. “I’m not usually this much of a mess. I’m just in the middle of writing an essay that’s due tomorrow.”

Tilting her head to the side, she offered, “Are you sure? My cigarette offer is still on the table. Heck, even if you want me to get you coffee or study snacks.” She’d never been to college, but she felt like it was tough work and applauded those who did go. “Oh i’m good. Thank you though.” Rebecca then offered a big grin as they shook hands. “That is such a pretty name. I don’t know if I said my name, but i’m Rebecca. I tend to forget from time to time.” She shrugged. “You look great. Good luck on that essay by the way. Can I ask what it’s about?”

Lyra placed the cigarette between her lips, lighting it quickly before starting to pace up and down beside the entrance to the University library, already putting in the work despite the term having not officially started yet. She was usually very organised with keeping on top of things but she’d had to put in extra shifts at the coffee shop this week because John had been off sick and she needed the money. Her extra credit essay was due tomorrow at noon and although she’d planned it out meticulously she knew that by the end she would be way over the word count, and likely to be stuck in the library till the early hours of the morning editing it down. At the moment, it felt impossible; running on little sleep, caffeine and cigarettes didn’t seem to be the best at focusing her mind, and she didn’t even notice as she walked into someone in her frantic state, dropping her cigarette in the process. “Oh my fuck,” she gasped, glancing up with wide eyes. “Oh fuck, sorry-”

“Oh shoot.” She gasped as the other dropped the cigarette and then shook her head, “I’ll be fine it just caught me off guard.” Rebecca then looked around and said, “I should probably watch where i’m going. Sometimes I can be a bit of a klutz.” She shrugged, soon offering, “Can I get you another pack of cigarettes? It was honestly my fault that you dropped it and I could at least try to make it up to you that way.” Sticking out her hand, she said, “Also my name is Rebecca. It’s nice to meet you.”

“Yeah, I may as well have an iv of coffee with how much I drink,” she smiled softly at the woman. “Oh, I’m just filling out the paperwork for the home visits I did today. I’m a social worker, so I was just finishing things off for the day.”

“I guess it’s better than other addictions, right?” She shrugged softly before offering a friendly grin. “Can I ask how that’s like before you get started on doing that?”

Unless someone else starts trying to buy a drink, you’ll just have to deal with me.” Mason tried to hold in his chuckle as he saw Rebecca roll her eyes. “Becca, are you rooting for me and my boss? I thought you wanted me for yourself. All I can say is that I’m not tied down to anyone, alright? So we can still have our fun.” He watched as she left and shook his head once more. “Shut up Becs. See you later,” he spoke as he waved back at the other. 

“Mm you truly are the kindest man i’ve met here....and the hottest. I’m surprised you’re not already married with kids by now.” Rebecca winked. “I am rooting for you and your boss because I think it might work. Well good cause I like our fun. I am also going to make the most time I have when I get you to myself...and I can’t lie I hope I always see you shirtless, except for when you’re working.” She hummed. “Fine, fine. Bye.” Rebecca winked before heading out and waving.
