CAN WE JUST TALK ABOUT THIS THOUGH
The role of Ladybug has been passed down through Helen’s family to the oldest daughter for centuries.
At first, Violet doesn’t even want the role of Ladybug, but she is eventually convinced when she actually puts on the suit and goes off to fight crime.
She takes night patrols at least three times a week, with or without Chat Noir.
Probably a good time to bring up Chat Noir. Unlike Ladybug, the role of Chat Noir floats around so when Wilbur was chosen he really had no idea what he was getting into.
He takes the role willingly and tries to escape the confines of his parents’ house at every possible moment.
In this AU, Wilbur just has the 2 of his parents, but they’re just as distant as Gabriel Agreste is to Adrien. Wilbur knows that they both really love and care for him, but he wishes that he could actually spend more time with them instead of feeling like he’s being a nuisance every time he tries to talk to them.
Violet’s parents both work in a family run business. (I’m thinking staying with Bakery or hardware shop) Her and her brothers’ usually help out, but it very obvious that Dash is the most useful out of all of them. He knows how to work the customers better than Jack-Jack or Violet.
They are that family that always comes out to support one another.
As for the love square, it still the same as the TV show.
Wilbur is as flirty and cheesy as he usually is as Chat Noir; however as Wilbur Robinson, he is much more subdued.
Violet doesn’t talk too much either, but she will stand up for her classmates if they’ve been wronged. At first, she seems very unapproachable, but the minute you start talking to her, she makes you feel like you’re the only person that matters in the moment.
Violet’s best friend (if following the futuristic four au) is Penny Forester. Penny is a hard hitting journalist (like Alya) who has been trying to discover who Ladybug really is. She is also the first one to audition for any musical, play, or theater production in their school.
Hiro Hamada is Wilbur’s best friend. Unlike Nino, he isn’t obsessed with filming or music. Instead, he is the president of the robotics club and tries to trick out their robot as much as humanly possible.
Penny is always telling Violet to go up and talk to Wilbur, but Violet, who has a crush the size of Jupiter on Wilbur, rather not and tries not to freak out every time Penny leaves her alone with him.
The reason why Violet has a crush on Wilbur is because he’s very sweet and considerate. Wilbur doesn’t talk too much in class, but like Violet, he does stand up for his classmates and Violet finds that admirable.
The reason why Violet doesn’t have a crush on Chat Noir is because he is really irritating. She’s all for puns and chivalry, but he takes it to an extreme and it annoys her. She also thinks that his flirty behavior isn’t really exclusive to her, so she doesn’t really think he has feelings for her.
Except that he does. Wilbur loves Ladybug so much. She is strong and courageous and graceful while he is none of that. Unfortunately, when he really likes someone he can either be awkward or show-offy. He finds it much easier to pretend that he is god’s gift to the world than to be real with his partner.
Honestly, this list could go on forever and ever.

My sister was trying to explain this ship to me before I watched the show and all I kept picturing were Alex and Justin from Wizards of Waverly Place. I was very relieved to find out it wasn’t.

So can we like…start normalizing the idea that not everyone dates or has their first boyfriend/girlfriend in junior high or high school?
There are plenty of people who go into college with little to no dating experience. There are tons of people who go into college having not had their first kiss yet. It’s not wrong; everyone experiences things at a different pace, and that’s okay. Don’t feel pressured into doing things you’re not comfortable with at the time just because you feel like you have to fill some sort of “quota.”
