“How sweet of you,” she simply smiles at the offer. It’s rare for people other than Horn and Crowley to treat her this way. Normally they would ignore her presence unless she had something to say. Chess takes her first step into the mansion for the first time in a long while. “Oh my! Did you redecorate?”

“Ah, I did! Thank you for noticing, Miss Chess.” Ferid hums happily as he leads the way towards one of his chambers, where they could both properly relax. He sets the girl’s clothes down on one of the tables before taking a seat on the lush sofa. ”I feel like a change of scenery is needed once and a while.”

Laying her hands across her lap, head tilts in curiosity to what exactly he meant. She never had thought that she was second best to Horn, considering Crowley treats them equally from her understanding. It’s simply the treatment she receives from others. Of course, their opinions matter little to her.

“I was just speaking the truth, m’Lord. People just like Horn a bit more, but I don’t mind,” she assures. The next thing he says throws her off a bit, “..Really?” That’s a rare thing for her to hear.

“Ah, you really don’t mind...?” That was a little surprising to hear, since most vampires were naturally competitive, even amongst one another. Though her innocence this way only contributed to just how cute she seemed.

“Yes, really.” The male respond as he turns to glance at the girl from over his shoulder, that smile he wore never fading. “I would say you’re much easier to talk to as well. Are’t we getting along just fine?”
