Recovery isn’t about seeing how much of your eating disorder you can hold onto while living a relatively “normal” life.

being a trauma informed therapist is ✨awesome✨ and I really love my job, wish I could go back in time and let my younger self know it was all going to work out
I've started working with clients with EDs and in a way, I feel like I'm healing parts of myself in the process. I was so scared to work with this population, for obvious reasons, but so far it's been so rewarding! I really really get them, so much so that sometimes it feels like I'm reading their minds and it's crazy that now I'm planning small exposures for them that I couldn't even do two years ago but now I'm totally fine with it? What is life, I feel so much gratitude ❤️🩹
“It is just a body. The more you can be neutral about a body, the better. Bodies change, and many times they change from things out of your control. Bodies do not, and never will, have anything to do with your value.”
— Bevin Branlandingham (via tellmefive)
this sucks but my sister's boyfriend is the absolute worst, he's just so stupid omg I literally hold myself back bc for some reason she likes him but he cannot be that stupid and disrespectful, she's a sunshine, I literally can't
I can't watch the last episode of tsitp until Saturday so any time I check IG it's just parkour trying to avoid all those spoilers omg
it’s so nice being fond of people on here :-) like yeah maybe we only know each other in a very limited way but i care abt you guys & hearing abt your lives makes me happy & i like listening to the things u have to say & i really truly wish the best for you all!!! sending my love from a couple states, countries, oceans away

So far, I've read 23 non academic books this year which is a win! I'm currently halfway through love on the brain and I'm really liking it (even more than love, theoretically and the love hypothesis).
whenever I'm struggling with my tampon, I hear Adam Carlsen saying "you can take it" and some really deep rooted part of me just whispers "yes I can".
QUESTION FOR NON-ASEXUALS
I haven't had much sex in my life but whenever I do, I at some point start floating around, either seeing myself from the ceiling or from somewhere behind my head (dissociating girly) and when I notice, I try to come back to my body and usually the whole "something's going on with my body, stuff is being performed" makes me giggle or get bored and I lose whatever interest I may have gathered to begin with.
Does that happen to you? Is it """normal""" among people who have sex? Or is it bc I'm ace?
I'm second guessing my asexuality yet again only because there's this part of me that from time to time pops up being like "what if you are not asexual and you're just really really scared of men?" and then this other part of me is like "OMG I'm just scared and childish and naive can't believe I've been lying to myself" but I mean, I do NOT experience sexual attraction and the fact I'm aromantic (well, platonic romantic) makes it even more confusing because sometimes I FEEL stuff just not sexual attraction not anything like that, just crushes and squishes
I'm asexual AND somehow I also have some sort of daddy kink so I want to sit on Conrad's lap while I drink my coffee and read a book and I want him to grab me by the waist and call me a good baby girl from times to times
I was on the last few pages and it was all kinda good, I was feeling hopeful and suddenly I got my heart crushed, literally gasped and started sobbing because I didn't see it [that kind of ending] coming. It's a gift and a curse, the fact that I never know what's going to happen next (even when I encounter spoilers, which happens often).
