I really surprised myself earlier this year when I participated, I really anticipated that I would burn out halfway through the event, but I managed to animate ten whole shorts

Not all were favs of mine, tbh, but this one was a highlight, and got a soundtrack by a colleague

In memory of a dog we loved

It was a while ago, still had regular lectures. It was a series of negative events. Pandemic, breakup, drama, missed grades, job stuff, living situation complications...

It all became irrelevant when it came time to make the decision to put down our family dog.

Everything turned gray. And although I wanted to pretend and keep pushing, her quality of life wasn't going to improve.

The depression that followed was long and set me back a while. But, good art was had.

I could've easily focused on the heavy imagery of it, the vet table, the grave I dug in the rain... The fact I stumbled into an abandoned church with an old broken chandelier hung like a noose...

But showing the seasons pass as a boy and a dog grew up felt more meaningful. Aira was the type of dog that could sence when someone was sad, so I better not worry her.

I've been doing pretty much only OC stuff for my assignments, and only a handful of Scott Pilgrim fan arts, traction won't be happening lol

Eh, I'm back.

There's really no sites out there that don't sell data for training, it seems.

So really, no use avoiding sharing my stuff on here, so I'm gonna slowly post new stuff, and repost old favs, as well as com sheets, and see how things go.

I have some comics and animations that might do well here.

Not-so-L;DR on my life: I'm still not graduated, 95% of the work is complete, but kinda hard to will power my way through the last bits and the bureaucracy, because searching for a more full-time gig in the current state of the industry is kinda stressful.

I really don't wanna be doing art or graphic design for gambling companies, but freelancing while doing physical labor part time isn't stable. Hoping that even if I'm not in illustration and animation per-se, I could at lest use my 3D skills for something, my internship from is seemingly quite good looking on paper, interior design visualization

In brighter news, my friend group began playing D&D, and I've found myself a great girlfriend. Gym is going well, although I injured my back a little and I'm taking time away from it... And hat to cut back on renovation/construction/cleanup gigs short term

Leaving Tumblr

I'll stop updating my page and posting my illustrations and animations on here. I haven't gotten any traction since my splatoon 1 days anyway. It went from my worst pieces of my life getting thousands of notes, to the best work of my life getting a like or two.

I had somehow missed it, but, earlier this year Tumblr had decided to take a pro-ai stance, that I am against. There has been no word of this ordeal being reverted.

No use in deleting the stuff already posted, however, I don't think I'll be contributing to it. Other platforms that have opt-outs seem to be more firm in actually following through with them, even if they're a bit of a chore to file.

This isn't an invite to anyone who is against real art to come and debate. If you don't understand why the consent of creators is important, and the etiquette of online art space, you were never part of the community, and only joined the bandwagon for short term gratification, that lead to over-saturation of social media feeds and the discouragement of talent and hard work among those actually creating.

I'll remember the Tumblr from when I was a kid fondly.

However, the way of the dodo it is for you, pal. As to where I can be found, I post on pretty much every other platform that didn't overtly press the self-destruct button, and a couple of new sites yet to go mainstream.
