i need your honest thoughts. so my bf and i have had this convo a few times and it leads to him blowing up and getting super angry, which isn’t really something he does. so he doesn’t exactly defend kodack black (rape situation) but he doesn’t seem to care and thinks i’m blowing things out of proportion when i tell him that him it makes me feel like, as a rape victim, he doesn’t believe me. he’ll say about these famous cases like kodack or rkelly that “are these girls even telling the truth, we’ll never really know what happened so i just stay out of it” etc etc. i told him that it bothers me bc it makes people like me feel like we aren’t believed. he literally started yelling and shit as we were riding in the car just now. can you tell me what you think about people (specifically men) like this
People make excuses for celebrities they like. The crimes celebs commit didn't affect them personally so they don't care.
This is also true (to a much less serious degree) with celebs who didn't commit crimes. Like Nicki Minaj. Or Doja Cat playing footsie with racists on cam. Their fans will make every excuse under the sun for them because they like them, and the things they did doesn't affect their fans personally so they excuse it away.
Kodak Black is a garbage human being for several different reasons and there's a certain type of nigga who's gonna make excuse for him until the end because they lack all kinds of things you should have as an adult (empathy, a basic grasp of politics, taste, etc). Not only is Kodak a rapist he's a Donald Trump bootlicking Coon.
The question you have to ask yourself is, is he really the best you can do?
If you happened to get pregnant, do you want it to be by a man who refuses to believe women who were raped in the face of insurmountable evidence? Do you want it to be by a man who will scream at you over Kodak Black? Of all the actual important things in the world?
Instead of trying to figure out where he's coming from, you should be trying to figure out the answer to these questions.
