Hello everyone, here’s my realistic take on the new starter Pokémon. I based my design interpretations on:

Grookey as a friendly Ecuadorian squirrel monkey with leaves and stick rapped in hair.

Scorbunny as a mixture of fighting Arctic and March brown hares with a little rabbit in the facial features, cat padded back feet and Fairy armadillo plates for the ‘nose plaster’.

Sobble mainly based on a timid veiled chameleon with a reversed tail and white eyes with some elements of newt and the ‘water running’ common basilisk lizard mixed in. (Pokémon berries shown left to right, Oran, Aspear and Leppa.) 

I’ll likely be releasing a coloured version soon.

Again I was fortunate enough to be able to illustrate the cover, this time a blazing scene representing the Cd’s track ‘Burn it Down’, a song about a young kid’s disdain for his small town becoming a destructive force out of his control, one of many brilliant songs featured on the new album. I again got the opportunity to proudly illustrate the digital cover for the song, a beating bloody heart :) it was great fun to do and taught a little more about the human anatomy. My first time entry to the Character Design Challenge. (Facebook)  The Vampire Moth (Calyptra Thalictri) : A sub-species to the Common Vampire, these creatures are unnaturally attracted to light sources, despite the resulting burns of long exposure.                                                                       Their larvae will often choose lamp posts for the cocoon stage; this may be to deter other vampire species from eating them.
