Tori had been sitting in the cafe reading for a few hours by the time her sister walked in. It wasnât a part of town she usually spent time in, and perhaps a part of her knew sheâd likely run into her sister there. She looked up from her book, pursing her lips gently as Lissa sat at the table text to her, unaware of her presence. She cleared her throat gently, closing the book and smiled. âWhy, sister, fancy seeing you here.â

âYouâre not going to poison it, are you?â she asked her sister before sitting down at the bar.
âSister, that would be too easy.â
thewhitequeenvasilisaâ:
Lissa pursed her lips and nodded. âThat you do, Victoria,â she said. âActually, no I did not come to see him and if I did it wouldnât be of your concern anyway. I was looking for Charles.â
âWell, youâre out of luck, heâs not here. But stay awhile. Have a drink.â
thekingjudgeâ:
âI can spend my time wherever I want. I donât really need or want to explain myself.â
âFine. Donât explain yourself. Have another drink.â
thekingjudgeâ:
Sheâs obviously in one of her moods which Nathan isnât really in the mood to deal with. But, heâll have to deal with it, anyway. He took the drink that she had pushed towards him and took a sip before letting out a breath. âAnd just what is that supposed to mean?â
âOh, darling. Please donât act like I donât have eyes everywhere. You seem to be spending quite a bit of time over at the White.â
thewhitequeenvasilisaâ:
The clicking of Lissaâs heels stopped when she heard her sisterâs voice say her name. âVictoria,â she said in a sickeningly sweet tone. Lissa turned to face her. âItâs a public place I donât need your permission. And I donât need to justify myself to you.â
âCute, but Iâm pretty sure that thereâs a right to refuse service to anyone.â She rolled her eyes. âCome to see Nathan? Or have you found some new way to butt your way into my life.â

Tori is already waiting at the bar for him when he walks in, drink in hand and another placed in front of her, clearly intended for him. âWell, I was starting to think youâd forgotten which club was yours.â She pushed the drink toward him with a raised eyebrow.

It was as if Victoria could feel her sisterâs presence from a block away. For five minutes sheâd stood tense, leaned against the bar, before finally the unmistakable blonde floated through the door of The Red Queen. âLissa,â Tori breathed out. To her credit, she seemed a lot more calm than she felt. âI canât imagine a scenario in which you could possibly think you were welcome here.â

âł Biography:
Better known as âThe Queen of Heartsâ, all ways are Victoria Heartâs ways. One of the most dangerous and unpredictable personalities in New York City, she has became a famous mob boss and madam in the downtown area, all in an effort to rival her sister Vasilisa Heart. Originating from London, the Heart sisters are rumoured to have royal blood running through their veins though their parents are simply upper-middle class socialites. Gaining their fortune through department stores the Heart family bought shares in Harvey Nichols when the store was still young which has since gained them a large home in Moor Park with two swimming pools, a Porsche each for their daughters, a Lamborghini and a family Rolls amongst other cars. Victoria wanted for nothing as a child and grew up the more polite and spritely of the girls. Victoria was head girl, a prefect and had multiple school functions to her name, yet her younger sister was aways seemingly preferred.
Victoria and her sister tried to not let the worldâs favouritism get in the way of their friendship and with a little bit of ignorance and Lissaâs kindness the two remained close. Leaving college with almost perfect results Victoria was glad to join Imperial College in London and be introduced to a new group of people who didnât compare her to Vasilisa. Victoria flourished at university, joining and leading multiple societies. Whilst on a sports society bar crawl she bumped into a Kingâs College student by the name of Edward Knave. Despite her beauty Victoria had hardly received male attention and Edward Knave was easily the most handsome man she had ever met. Descendent from a noble Yorkshire family Victoria knew he wasnât interested in her money and the two began dating shortly after meeting. When Lissa moved to central London Victoria was excited to introduce them, hopeful they would like one another. In hindsight Victoria should have considered âthe Lissa effectâ but she was so in love she couldnât have imagined what would happen.
Before graduating top of her class in Liberal Arts, Victoria took a gap year to live in Paris for year abroad, leaving Lissa and Edward alone together in London. Unbeknown to Victoria and Vasilisa, Edward Knave had a reputation. âThe Knave of Heartsâ was his name and breaking the hearts of beautiful young women was his game. Edward was incredibly calculated and to this day the Heart sisters do not know if Edward Knave truly loved either of them. Lissa and Edward started an affair behind Victoriaâs back for almost two years before Victoria discovered the pair kissing at Lissaâs graduation party. Something in Victoria snapped that day. Packing up her things Victoria left silently and moved away to New York City, getting a job as marketing at The House of Deville where she became close friends with itâs creator Cruella Deville. Cruella was a breath of fresh air to Victoria, introducing her to a new crowd of people called the Bedeviled, made up of people like herself who had gotten the short end of the stick in life.
It was one night as she drank with Cruella in their favourite bar The Devilâs Lair that she saw an old friend getting attacked by James Ratcliffe, the slippery Knave had made his way back into her life and she was curious to no why. Up to his eyes in debts he couldnât afford to pay, Edward had planned to marry the Heart sisters for their family money and had currently set up an escort service with her idiot sisters. Victoria offered to pay off his debt in return for servitude, a stake in a new club and the broken heart of her sister. Naturally Edward agreed and helped Victoria set up âThe Red Queenâ, a rival burlesque club and escort service for the Bedeviled faction. Her team included the Knave as head of security and Charles Cheshire as her best card dealer. Victoria made it her duty to poach Vasilisaâs employees, succeeding in bartering for her best barman Asher White and devising a full proof plan to take her best courtesan Alice Kingsleigh. Alice would be the ultimate prize from her sister now she had already taken Edward. Though Victoria belongs to the Bedeviled faction, her main fight is with her sister Lissa and she will do anything within her power to leave her with nothing. Victoria does have one weakness however, the only man she came to love after Edward, Nathan Kings. Nathaniel and Victoria grew apart after Victoria began to get involved with the Bedeviled and pushed him closer to a penniless photographer named Tessie Davis. The king of cards, Victoria wants Nate to join her empire both as her boyfriend and a valuable force against her sister. Victoria would do anything to get Nathaniel back, including making Tessie disappear.Â
