it was a long name. if he and ellen gave him that name, what were they thinking ❝ ye cannae be. ma wife have not had her first bairn yet ❞ a brow raised ❝ if ye are, why did we give you a long name like that? ❞ brian asked. this was weird. he was not certain he believed jamie ❝ yer daughter is named after me? ❞

"We arena in our time. I ken it is a lot on top of everything, but I am yer third born." Jamie adds to try to gently explain where he fell into the other's future. While Jamie was attempting to keep his emotions together his father's words make him chuckle unexpectedly. "Aye. It is quite a long one but I have made plenty of use of every bit of it. Since I am yer third child, perhaps ye and mother believed it was a good time to use all the names ye wanted to in case... in case I was the last."

brianna 📲 da: nothing has changed what i have noticed. we keep running into each other. learning new things about each other too. how are things with mama?

Jamie->Bri: ha thank ye, mo chridhe. it takes me a long time to get a sentence out so not for an emergency. im glad ye and the bairns are well. im well. attempting to fix yer mothers sink.

Jamie-Bri: im sorry leannan, yer mother also has na remembered anything yet either.

claire drew in a deep breath when she saw him under the sink, shaking her head as she began to pace around her kitchen. "your daughter said something interesting to me. something about me traveling through time, falling in love with you, marrying you and having her. those are just the bullet points really, but i'm very confused about what she was talking about. so would you mind coming out from underneath there and tell me what's going on?"

Jamie kept working until she began talking and he froze with his hands on the pipes under the sink. The panic he felt was very close to the panic of telling Claire about he had gotten remarried when she went back to the future. "I would rather not..." He says in an honest tone but gives a soft sigh and gets out from under the sink. His hair and shirt were drenched from him previously loosening the pipe he meant to tighten. "But I dinnae deny the fact ye have a right to ken." He puts the tools down and with a bowed head he tries to figure out how he was going to explain this. "What she said was true, Sassenach." Jamie looks into her eyes. "I didnae want to distress ye by telling ye after I saw yer memory had been tampered with. I ken Bri was having a tough time handling the fact ye didnae remember. I thought, being around ye, something would remind ye."

another scottish man, could be heard clearly in the accent ❝ aye, i’m brian fraser. dae ah ken ye? ❞ brian asked, his brows furrowed, confusion crossed his face. the man looked similar to his wife, her red hair. he knew other people had red hair, but not this color. brian got this odd feeling of familiarity, but he had never seen jamie before. who was he and how could he know his name? perhaps had he been a guest at the hotel he was currently still working at.

Jamie nods and looks down when his father confirms that he is in fact Brian Fraser. "My name is James Alexander Malcolm Mackenzie Fraser..." He brings his gaze up again to meet his father's. "I am yer son. My wife and I named one of our bairns after ye, Brianna."

"Aye, I ken it was given to us by a dear friend and it even took us off guard as to its uniqueness." He knew it was going to be hard if not impossible to find as it was so special and unique, but he was going to try anyway. "I am very thankful to ye, Lass. Aye, I'm ready to go now if ye are."

Jamie couldn't believe his eyes. He knew from his mother that his father was here, but seeing him with his own eyes was another level. "Excuse me. Ye are Brian Fraser, aren't ye?" With people sharing faces and him being younger than last he saw him, Jamie wanted to be certain. Though it didn't stop his eyes from glistening with tears. He knew he wasn't responsible for his father's passing, but he still felt it was. @misteriios

"Excuse me, Lass. Do ye ken where I might find a stone of amber with a mosquito in it?" He gives a soft and brief chuckle. "I ken its a strange question, even back when I am from, but my wife doesnae remember me or our family and that was a special wedding gift we received so, perhaps she will remember, if I can find another similar to that." @playernctpuck

"Hello, Roger Mac. It is good to see ye again. How are ye?" He asks, while hoping something had jogged his memory by now. Though, he wasn't going to hold out too much hope. @musingnook

"I'm no ghost!" Ellen retorted, eyebrows scrunching in annoyance. She pulled her hand away from his forehead, crossing her arms over her chest and huffing at him. Her mood had quickly flipped from confusion and concern to irritation. "First, ye faint on me, then ye call me a ghost. It's a bit rude, James." She paused when the name left her mouth, and she suddenly remembered what her granddaughter had told her. "Brianna... Ye're Brianna's father, Jamie Fraser." The wheels of her mind turned as she put the pieces together. She shook her head, "Well, if I am yer mother, I'd hope I taught ye better than that how to treat a lady."

Seeing her grow cross with him, instantly makes him almost regress in a sort of way. He looks down, head bowed. "I am sorry, it's just...ye..." He tries so hard not to get emotional. "Aye, I am. My wife named her after Father." There was a soft smile upon his lips, though the emotional state returns. "I was young when ye...passed. But aye, ye did teach me better."

claire was more than just a little confused. she was extremely confused. ever since talking to brianna, she had no idea what to do, say or even think. how was she supposed to believe that she'd traveled through some stones and had fallen in love with jamie in the past and had a daughter and for some reason she couldn't remember any of it. she walked into her home, letting out a sigh. "jamie?" she questioned as she looked around, trying to see if he was there. she had a lot of questions, too many questions. @redjamie2

Jamie had been secretly learning from others how to be more adept at housework with these future appliances. Recently there was a problem with the kitchen sink and Jamie was determined to be the one to fix it so Claire didn't have to worry about it. He was hard at work when he suddenly hears Claire's voice calling for him causing him to jump and accidently loosen the pipe soaking himself and exclaiming before he shuts it off again. "I'm in the kitchens Sassenach. Yer home early... I was hoping to have this done before ye arrived." He says still laying on his back under the sink as he continues to work.

"Is that so? Being a surgeon is impressive work. And I'm always happy to get to know a fellow history buff." Roger replied with a nod and a smile. He listened in amazement at what Jamie had to say. "Oh, right. The Frasers, yes? I'm a descendant of the MacKenzies, of course. Not sure if I'm a direct descendant of any lairds. My parents passed away when I was young so that makes it a bit difficult to track my family line." Roger seemed to accept Jamie's explanation or why they had never met. "Ah, that makes sense. Do ye speak French, then?"

"Aye, she is a very impressive person in so many ways." He says before giving a slight chuckle. He did enjoy learning language and history, but, this was not in the way the other thought. The red haired man simply was trying to catch up with the times, rather than marvel in the past. "Aye the Frasers, but I also have MacKenzie blood as well. I'm sorry to hear that Roger Mac. Ye seem to be a very good lad and I am sure they've been watching over ye proudly." He adds before giving a smirk and nod. "Aye, I went to study in Paris and the Frasier mantra is in French."

"who else do you think it is? don't be so daft," jenny made a face at her brother, shaking her head at him. all of this was beginning to be too much - she'd just lost ian and had been going to the america's with jamie and now she was here? "don't tell me that fairy of a wife has had something to do wi' this james fraser!" she didn't think claire had any part in this, but still she was skeptical of the woman after twenty years of silence.

"Jenny. There are people here who have the same face as other people... Ye calling my name narrowed it down I grant ye that, but I had to be certain." The more he spoke the more he realized it was more obvious but he wasn't going to fully admit that to her; at least not right now. "She isna a fairy... but... Christ, now I have a better idea of the time ye were pulled from. So ye already ken I ken about time travel and I dinnae have to worry about ye trying to grab at me." He says before giving a heavy sigh of relief. "She doesnae have the power to bring us through time. If she had we would have left to raise our daughter in the future together instead of me sending her back to her time before Culloden! Besides, she doesnae even have her memories right now for some reason."

"Uh... Who's Willy?" Ellen asked. She looked down at her belly, then back at the man with confusion. She gasped when he started to fall, and tried to catch him, but ended up sitting down next to him as he fell against the wall. "Are ye well, Jamie? Should I take ye to a doctor?" Ellen placed a hand to his forehead to check his head, and her eyebrows knit together, confusion returning to her features, "Aye, Lallybroch is where I lived before I ended up here. Fraser is my married name, but I found out women of this time dinnae always change their name when they marry. So I like to use my maiden name. How do ye know all that?"

"Yer.. here? This is real?" Jamie says breathlessly staring pale completion and wide gaze looking at her. "I dinnae need a doctor... I'm seeing ghosts." His breathing was still heavy and slightly fast in pace. His mother was here, pregnant with his oldest sibling. His eyes close and he swallows hard leaning into her touch a bit when she checks his forehead. Leaving his eyes closed for a bit longer until she asks how he knows. "I was born in the Laird's room at Lallybroch, the first of May of 1791... My name is James Alexander Malcolm MacKensie Fraser..."

"you will?" claire questioned, her brows raising. "okay, i can show you where it is. i'll need some time to prepare the guest bedroom, the bed was where i'd been putting all my books since i hadn't put together the second bookshelf. i'll get a second key made so you can come and go as you please." she cleared her throat, feeling her face heat up. "well, uhm, thank you."

"Aye, I will." He says while unable to remove that warm smirk and look in his eyes that he always had towards her. "I'd like to help ye with that, after all, I'm robbing ye of yer library. I can make some extra shelves for yer books if ye would like or anything else ye need made." There was a slight pause as he smirks adding. "I'm fairly good at working with my hands. I should be able to handle anything that needs work."

"jamie!" another familiar face - jenny was still confused, but glad to see her brother. "please tell me you ken what is happening here? because I bloody don't," perhaps he would have some idea of what was going on.

"Christ...Jenny!?" Jamie says as he quickly approaches his sister. Her question makes him grimace a bit, knowing he was about to be in trouble in her book. "I have an idea... but ye arena going to be happy with me...or Claire about, how I ken." He nods in the direction of a café. "Let's go get a cuppa and I'll tell ye."
