"says who?" jordan's brow shot up, trying to figure out how c could be the answer, when it was leagues away from b. she was familiar, and pretty, but jordan was too determined to prove that she was wrong now. "its obviously b."
"Says me." Bonnie shot back brazenly. Even if she was wrong, she wasn't, she would never admit it. She was determined to prove him wrong now, just because he decided to argue with her. She smirked, "How about a bet? Loser buys the winner a drink?"
His head tilts in the slightest. It’s an obvious shift in demeanor, even for someone like Spock. Some subtleties have a way of passing him by, which he much prefers when people are straightforward with him. Leaves a smaller gap for uncertainty. He recognizes the moment the precise moment the conversation changes, like a steel door snapping shut. Why does it bother him? He’d only just met them. Hadn’t he been the one telling her she was mistaken? Somehow he keeps himself from frowning or spitting out some sort of apology. He appears to have messed up an ordinary social exchange. Admittedly, he’s better suited for talk around science. Her hand slips into his so easily, comfortably even like this isn’t the first time they’d held hands. “La’an,” Spock repeats, the syllables flowing out. “Nice to meet you. I am. It seems both of us have atypical names.” He throws a quick glance to the side. The other dancers have started to pair off with their regular partners. He looks back at la’an. “Do you have a partner? A dance partner,” he clarifies. “I do not recall seeing you in previous classes.”
La'An didn't want to release his hand. Apart of her hoped that if she held it long enough he would remember. She held eye contract with him, looking for any signs of recognition. Maybe there was something there. Perhaps he would recognize the feeling of comfortability, at least. La'An could practically feel their heart beating out of their chest when he spoke her name, but they just pursed their lips slightly to maintain their neutral expression. How was it possible that he could speak her name and still remember nothing? She analyzed, but his expression didn’t seem to change much this time. It was odd how he acted so himself, and yet so different. La'An suddenly shook her head, as if shaking herself out of deep thought, and cleared their throat. Realizing they had been holding his hand for far too long, they pulled away once again, clasping their hands behind their back. She turned her chin up to look up at him again, letting her lips twitch up just slightly at his comment about their names. They were unsure if that was meant to be a joke, but it was a funny observation, coming from him. "Yes, I suppose our parents preferred unconventional names." La'An replied simply. And you're not fully human, she wanted to add on. She was almost certain he wouldn't believe her. They would have to tread lightly around that subject. Do you have a partner? The urge to scream suddenly returned to them. Yes, I have a partner. You. But he didn't know that right now. Would he ever know that again? What would they do if he never remembered? La'An felt like they were going to burst. She took a deep breathe, calming her racing thoughts, and responded, "I don't. I'm new to the class, but not new to dancing." A pause, and another deep breathe. Regulating her emotions and her mind. "I just moved here, and it's taken me a while to get out."

"i didn't mean to word vomit. so sorry about that i must taking up so much of your time." vi had only meant to stop by for a moment to see how their neighbor, now friend, was doing. and then suddenly she was there talking about the reccuring dreams she kept having of working in this fire station.. they were so incredibly mundane but the weirdest part was that they kept coming back.
"Don't worry, I love word vomit." Kathryn replied with a chuckle. She really didn't mind if people talked to much. She was used to people coming to her with their troubles, being a former Starfleet captain, and she was always happy to hear people out, even if she wasn't much of a talker herself. "It's very odd that you keep having these dreams. Some people believe our dreams have meaning of some sort. Though, there's no substantial evidence to support that theory. Do you think the dreams are trying to tell you something?"
(¸.• ♛ → oh, it's been a while since someone mistake her for her sister's name but it was about time considering she was dead. "i've been good." she replied, looking at burdock. "not sure how merrilee is though, i haven't seen her in a while."
"Wait... Maysilee?" Burdock questioned, doubtfully. "You're messing with me, right? You... You died. That's not possible."
Esra was his greatest comfort, the only person he could have counted on when it came time to accept the worst. As long as she was here with him, as long as she still cared for him, he could find a way to release himself from the great burden of his death. Failed. How could they have failed? Not just failed—been torn apart by the very same monster they had been trying to rid from the world. To know that they were here with them didn't encourage him... but maybe there was the possibility of a second try. Could that have been the purpose of their resurrection? It was something he would have to investigate. "This isn't your fault, beloved." Aslan hoped that he could reassure her of that, if nothing else. "I blame the monster that did the slaughtering." He took a long, deep breath before he spoke again. "And our... our children? Are they... were they..?" It was almost impossible for him to say the words, to think they had suffered the same fate. Justice wasn't enough for him anymore; he wanted revenge, too.
Esra's hand continued to play with his, caressing it gently with her thumb, intertwining and separating their fingers over and over. It was more a subconscious action than anything. In her mind, it was innocent. His presences brought her a deep comfort. One that she didn't think she would ever feel for him. When they had first met, when they had been forced together, Esra hated it. She fought it, refusing to be too close to him for a while. But now, after they had spent their whole lives together, she couldn't imagine being this close with anyone else. Despite not truly being attracted to him, the love they had for each other was still very much real. This isn't your fault. He was right, of course. It was that monster's fault. She couldn't believe that their granddaughter would fall for him. Her breathe hitched at his next question, and she gave a quick shake of her head, looking up into his eyes with sadness, "They're all gone. Our children, our grandchildren. He slaughtered them all." She sighed. "Aylin is here, though. She's been resurrected with us."

ponyboy liked that she was easy to talk to. she sort of reminded him of someone else he once knew. he'd gathered that she was the opposite of him when it came to her life in dc. he kept quiet about that. it wasn't like he could go around talking to just anyone about what was really going on. instead , he forced a smile and played pretend around most people. he did actually view her as a friend , though. “ so i was thinking we could go see a movie tonight , ” he suggested. “ snacks are on me. ”
"Hell yeah! I would never turn down free snacks. What movie do you wanna see?" Star questioned, as she walked with her friend. She was happy to have made some friends in this place since moving her. It was so different from back home, but she was happy for the fresh start and the nice people who came with it. "Are there any good horror movies out now?"
“ well , i really mean it when i say i appreciate it , bonnie , ” he told her , smiling gently. “ i just don't want you to forget that sometimes ... youv'e gotta help yourself , too. ” sure , her offer for vervain was simple , kind. he doubted it was laborious in any way , but he didn't want her to push herself , either. nolan listened patiently to what bonnie had to say , but nothing could've possibly prepared him for that story. he shook his head in disbelief , struggling to make any of the words come out. “ bonnie , i've gotta be honest with you ... i think i need a drink after hearing all of that. ”
Bonnie waved off his thanks with a smile. She was always happy to help a friend out. She pursed her lips and nodded at his next words, "I think I forget that sometimes, but I'm actually doing things for myself for once. Since we're all stuck here anyway." She smiled proudly, then a laugh escaped her lips. She continued, "That's exactly how I felt living it. Trust me, that's just the tip of the iceberg of crazy things that happened."

"i just don't know what to even think anymore. i want to forgive him but i just can't." judith had started rambling to the other. she missed her brother but to find out he'd been turned to a vampire and left her behind just made it all worst. every connection she had disappeared.
"Yeah, that's tough." Bonnie replied, pursing her lips and nodding. "I don't have a brother, but if I did and he did that to me, I think I'd also find it hard to forgive him." She shrugged. "I guess it just depends on what you want for the relationship."
Nora certainly hoped Mary Louise would make an appearance, sooner rather than later. She didn't like to be far from her lover, and certainly not in a place like this. "Yes, I've not been here long. I'm still getting used to the strangeness of this place."
"It takes some time, but I'm sure you'll figure it out. You're smart and resilient." Bonnie offered with a confident nod. "What have you been up to in the city? Anything exciting? All kinds of strange things happen here."
she nodded her head. “yes. i used to be her assistant. it… isn't the easiest job to do.” andy admitted with a shrug of her shoulders. “i just wanted to make sure that she wasn't being cruel to you.” miranda was hardly the nicest person to begin with. “it wasn't my choice, technically. i just found myself here before realising miranda was in charge.” she explained with a sigh, sitting opposite zelda. “how long have you worked for her?”
"I think that's the understatement of the century." Zelda replied with a chuckle. "No need to worry about me. I can take her." Zelda replied with a confident tone. She really had seen far worse, considering her last boss at accidentally murdered her. This was a cake walk. She nodded in response, then continued, "I've only been working for her for a few weeks, but I think she likes me. She told me I'm 'not entirely useless' once, and I took that as a compliment."
alice let out a laugh before shaking her head, "no, at least not at first. she realized it eventually, but it took her a little while to realize that i was the same alice that was her best friend so many years ago." she smiled as she shrugged her shoulders. "i couldn't explain it and it hurt having to do that. it hurt when i met you were older too because you didn't recognize me at first and you were engaged and it was just.. it hurt a lot." she admitted, glancing down at the ground. she never thought she would see this version of nick again. "you are?" she asked, sure that she had burnt this bridge when she broke off things. "yeah i am and trying to do something with music."
"That's crazy. I guess you just get used to seeing people one way, huh." Nick mused with a smile. "Future me is engaged?" He asked doubtfully. Nick wondered, for a moment, what his future might look like. It was disappointing to hear that his future didn't include Alice, but maybe he would have another shot with her here. They were both stuck here, after all, and both the right versions of themselves. Truthfully, he couldn't imagine himself being engaged to anyone but her. He grinned, "I am. I mean, who else would I rather be stuck in this weird place with?" He nodded excitedly. "That's cool! I play open mics sometimes, you should come with me!"
(¸.• ♛ → "just one because after mine...i actually showed up here, after one year of my games." she admitted. yeah, she showed up here and she has been living here for a while so she's not sure what else happened, it's like she was from a different timeline, it was very strange. "i'm so sorry that happened. i honestly knew that it wasn't going to really stop but i had hope." the brunette looked at him. "tell me, the mentors...of the games were still the students from the capitol?" she was wondering if coriolanus was also mentoring once again.
Sterling gave a slow nod, "Well, I hope you've been able to live a better life here, then you would've in Panem." He spoke sincerely. Being here, seeing how good life could be, he didn't think anybody deserved to live in a place like Panem. He shook his head, "They stopped doing that a long time ago. The mentors are past victors now so I had to mentor a bunch of the new kids that went it. It's, uh, not the most fun job to have."
elide turned when she heard someone say her name, her brows drew down when she saw it was someone that she didn't recognize. his voice sounded familiar somehow, but she couldn't quite put her finger on it. the confusion grew as he continued to speak, "uhm, can you explain who you are and what you're talking about first?"
Oh, no. Lorcan's brows furrowed ever so slight. Was she really so mad at him that she was pretending to forget him? He sighed, "I know you're still upset, but I thought I was protecting you." He explained, pursing his lips. "Are you really going to pretend you don't remember?"
@musingnook
it was a fairly slow news day. he was told to go out and see if he could find something interesting to report on. “morning. my name is clark kent.” he greeted warmly, smiling. “i uh… i'm a journalist and i was wondering if perhaps… you have anything you would like to report on? something you want the world to know?” he questioned, curious to hear more from the civilians around here.
Eve smiled and shrugged as the man asked her the question. Sure, she had lots of things she could report on in regards to herself, but nothing she actually wanted the world to know. "Nothing in particular, I guess." Eve replied with a shrug. "I'm just a regular, old worker at the city's Parks Department." Did that sound convincing? Normal? She sure hoped so.
''Not yet but it looks like a good one..'' Bella looked back at the book on her hands. ''I love reading so I'm sure it won't take me long to finish it. What are you looking for ?''
"I do too. My favorites are romance books." Esra replied with a smile. "Nothing in particular. Just browsing. Do you have any recommendations?"
colin glanced over at eve before he sat down next to her ❝ thank you ❞ he said, smiled a little. the rain was crazy, but he was used to it. the weather in london had not always been nice ❝ it does. i am used to much rain ❞ he told her. looked down to the mug she pointed at ❝ thank you for the offer, i do not drink hot chocolate. i prefer tea ❞
"Your accent sounds British, is that where you're from? Makes sense that you'd be used to the rain, then." Eve replied with a chuckle. "I guess it can get pretty rainy here too, but definitely not as much as there." She mused, pursing her lips. "That also makes sense. I could order you a tea, if you want. Something to keep you warm?"
